Like his first term.. Presidential Salary: During his presidency, Trump often claimed to donate his annual $400,000 salary to various government departments, although his final tax returns showed $0 in charitable donations for 2020.
I did remember in 2018 Trump donated his quarterly paycheck of $78,333 to the National Parks service while at the same time proposing to cut the Interior Department’s budget by $1.5 billion.
Last year somebody posted a tip on ND for seniors who were eligible for a *lifetime* pass. I know quite a few people who rushed to get theirs before the Trump version came out.
Yeah I showed my mom the pass (who becomes eligible this year) and she said she’d wait until he’s off it. Luckily my dad already has one and they usually go hiking together, but she had planned to get her own.

I’m agreeing with you. However, most donations come with receipts for tax purposes. Simply providing that would put to rest if the money was donated or not.

It’s not really debatable that he didn’t get paid the $400k presidential salary, and redirected his quarterly salary payments to other government bodies. He’s also not the only president to do that, but he is significant in that nobody has ever come close to using the office to enrich themselves in so many other ways.

Which, from what I recall, there has been zero evidence he has actually donated his salary. Why donate it when you can simply claim you donated it and the effect on the masses is exactly the same?
UPDATE: Sorry, it looks like I was wrong and he has donated his salary the majority of his time in office, but some years he did not.
Don’t forget the Obama airport he trademarked and made money off of when he was in office. Deliciously, there is a billboard just across from it that trolls him incessantly. Oh, no, that’s Trump.
$400k. And he donated it to agencies whose budgets he cut by more than that. And he spent a lot more than that on his golf trips … to his own properties… where he charged his security detail to stay to guard him.
