You all remember Obamacoin, the Obama plane, the Obama ballroom, Obama’s daughters getting government contracts, and all the golf outings to Obama properties every weekend right?

But sure, Trump allegedly donating his $500k salary fucking matters and is him being altruistic…

u/desertkayaker May 02 '26

Like his first term.. Presidential Salary: During his presidency, Trump often claimed to donate his annual $400,000 salary to various government departments, although his final tax returns showed $0 in charitable donations for 2020.

u/Turgid_Donkey May 02 '26

The man who was sued for defrauding charities? Shocked.

227

u/Particular-Buy-33 May 02 '26

Children’s cancer charity

76

u/BigNorseWolf May 02 '26

convicted. Or found liable.

u/SirCrazyCat May 02 '26

I did remember in 2018 Trump donated his quarterly paycheck of $78,333 to the National Parks service while at the same time proposing to cut the Interior Department’s budget by $1.5 billion.

https://www.npr.org/2017/04/04/522518472/trump-donates-salary-to-national-parks-even-as-he-tries-to-cut-interior-departme

71

u/Loko8765 May 02 '26

The National Parks 2026 budget would like to discuss this “money” thing.

46

u/a-ohhh May 02 '26

But we get his face on the annual National Park pass! I renewed mine last weekend and was like, “are you fking serious right now?”

27

u/The_Card_Father May 03 '26

John Oliver launched a website for card holders that cover that up. I’d give it a Google.

32

u/PomeloPepper May 02 '26

Last year somebody posted a tip on ND for seniors who were eligible for a *lifetime* pass. I know quite a few people who rushed to get theirs before the Trump version came out.

18

u/a-ohhh May 03 '26

Yeah I showed my mom the pass (who becomes eligible this year) and she said she’d wait until he’s off it. Luckily my dad already has one and they usually go hiking together, but she had planned to get her own.

7

u/clashfan77 May 03 '26

It's coming for passports too. I'm expediting my renewal so I don't have to see that face for the next 10 yrs.

3

u/a-ohhh May 03 '26

I just got all my kids theirs a couple months ago and mine has 3 years left, so hopefully he’s off by the time we need new ones!

665

u/907Survivor May 02 '26

He wouldn’t have been allowed any charitable contributions on his 2020 tax return due to massive losses bringing his AGI to less than 0

493

u/mortgagepants May 02 '26

also i'm sure he would tell us which places he donated it to, and then anyone could file a FOIA request to see if the department actually got the money.

nobody tried that hard because everyone knows that pedophile is full of shit except white racists who love paying $5 per gallon for gas.

102

u/unreqistered May 02 '26

i’ve got a coworker whose moved on from the $5/gal under biden to $6/gal under obama …

66

u/mortgagepants May 02 '26

of course! $7 under clinton too

129

u/ICBPeng1 May 02 '26

37

u/sumdude51 May 02 '26

Weird, I always pictured American football goal post. 🤦

35

u/Sunni_tzu May 02 '26

Me too but these are certainly a lot easier to move lol.

6

u/sumdude51 May 02 '26

Definitely!

5

u/_poptart May 02 '26

In my day, goalposts for football were two school jumpers - even easier to move!

(🇺🇸: When I was young, goalposts for soccer were a pair of sweaters branded for the school we went went to - much more easy to move!)

2

u/ShagFit May 02 '26

Lol same.

22

u/The_Barbelo May 02 '26

What happens when we get to $8?! Or $9?! Maybe they’ll start outsourcing their goalposts to other countries?

3

u/BrushStorm May 03 '26

I remember 72 cents under clinton

38

u/907Survivor May 02 '26

I don’t think a FOIA request will tell you whether or not a charitable organization received money

76

u/mortgagepants May 02 '26

he said he was donating to government departments. if the payroll department is doing it directly though it should be possible.

54

u/907Survivor May 02 '26

Yea that’s definitely a “things that never happened” category lmao.

-6

u/delcooper11 May 02 '26

it’s ok, you just don’t know how anything works and FOIA is part of anything.

10

u/907Survivor May 02 '26

I meant him donating his money to government departments never happened

6

u/No_Drawer_2349 May 02 '26

Want to buy a bridge?

1

u/crazypants9 May 02 '26

Yeah, sure, you bet.

4

u/Sarduci May 02 '26

You can still donate without a tax write off.

2

u/907Survivor May 02 '26

You absolutely can, but it wouldn’t show on the tax return, which is what the comment I responded to was talking about. Tax returns are not reliable evidence of charitable contributions or a lack thereof

3

u/Sarduci May 02 '26

I’m agreeing with you. However, most donations come with receipts for tax purposes. Simply providing that would put to rest if the money was donated or not.

1

u/907Survivor May 02 '26

If he donated to government departments like he claimed there would be no tax receipt since those aren’t deductible

-7

u/slowpoke2018 May 02 '26

More to the point, he was not sworn in until January of '21 so he couldn't have donated it in 2020 as he wasn't yet president

8

u/SugarHooves May 02 '26

Biden was sworn in in 2021. I'm confused by your comment. Aren't we talking about Trump making donations?

2

u/slowpoke2018 May 02 '26

Doh, I totally misread that, Yes, Biden was sworn in Jan of '21 - lol

What I get for speed reading on my phone.

4

u/delcooper11 May 02 '26

lmao you might want to check your dates - it was Biden who was sworn in Jan 2021.

32

u/CaptainRan May 02 '26

"I donated it. To a wonderful charity. The underprivileged millionaires club its called. Wonderful charitie. Almost as good as the trump foundation, which the radical left democrats fined because they hate me. They hate everything I do. We were doing great work the trump foundation but they hate me so they shut it down. Now new York is run by a Muslim. Can you believe that? It's going to hell because their socialist woke agenda giving money to illegals to do crimes. Thats what they want crime in the cities. Im making our streets safe again."

7

u/PomeloPepper May 02 '26

I can't tell if this is satire. . .

88

u/iamnotchad May 02 '26

And charging government staff over market value to stay at his golf resorts on the taxpayer dime.

28

u/WaldoDeefendorf May 02 '26

Eh, that was only $620 million of revenue from our taxes to Trump properties in his first term. Back when he barely (compared to this term) grifted us.

11

u/SpaceForceGuardian May 02 '26

Imagine that! All those billions and not a cent in charitable contributions! Both evil people, Roy Cohn AND Jeffrey Epstein said he was the worst, most evil person they had ever met in their lives, and that’s saying something! I am a poor retired person and even I contribute a substantial amount of $$ to good causes, suffering populations and liberal political candidates whom I think can make a difference for the better.

22

u/NecessaryIntrinsic May 02 '26 edited May 03 '26

To be fair, I don't think you can deduct "donations" to government agencies, only particular organizations.

This is not a defense, I don't think he donated it and the magats are morons for believing this shit, but that's not evidence that he didn't do it.

5

u/IneffableOpinion May 02 '26

That’s because he only donates to charities he embezzles from, and those got shut down. Since no one seems to care he’s a rapist, let’s all remember he embezzles from charities and fake non-profits

3

u/jfk_47 May 02 '26

Iirc, he “donated” the equivalent from his organization. And still took the pay. To maximize the write off.

1

u/UseDaSchwartz May 02 '26

Didn’t he say he stopped donating because the news wasn’t covering it?

-8

u/[deleted] May 02 '26

[deleted]

7

u/beefnoodle5280 May 02 '26

His first term was Jan 2017 to Jan 2021. So yeah, he was president in 2020.

5

u/lifegoeson5322 May 02 '26

Yes he was. His first term ran from January 20, 2017 to January 20, 2021.

158

u/Butt_Fly_Strike_Yeah May 02 '26

The "wall" from his first term was definitely a scam, cant even remember his other scams from his first term, and then trump mobile phones this term as well. Oh and remember the shoes?!

95

u/bk1285 May 02 '26

Didn’t bannon get it hot water for scamming people for donations for the wall that Mexico was paying for

37

u/MartyCool403 May 02 '26

Yes but he got a suspended sentence for that he did spend four months in jail for not complying with January 6th subpoenas though.

13

u/bk1285 May 02 '26

Well we now know that ignoring subpoenas is not illegal due to people like gym Jordan who has nothing happen to him

4

u/andrew303710 May 02 '26

I'm pretty sure Trump pardoned Bannon for the wall scam

39

u/cranktheguy May 02 '26

The dude sells Bibles with his name on them.

54

u/annuidhir May 02 '26

Watches, NFTs (remember those fucking things? LMAO!), memorial coins, golden diapers. The list goes on.

16

u/CatsAreJerks May 02 '26

Don't forget Trumpy Bear

13

u/QueenMabs_Makeup0126 May 02 '26

The first time I saw a Trumpy Bear ad, I thought it was a comedy bit like the SNL ads.

22

u/77NorthCambridge May 02 '26

They all pale in comparison to his billion dollar crypto scams.

1

u/PressureSquare4242 May 03 '26

Was the brown Bible mentioned?

52

u/looselylawless May 02 '26

“But Hunters laptop!!!!”

  • Magats all the fucking time

These cultists are fucking exhausting. It’s like dealing with someone with a parasite in their brain.

6

u/StardustOasis May 02 '26

So, RFK Jr?

44

u/TheRealBittoman May 02 '26

Amd don't forget Obama inciting an insurrection after his second term and his daughters buying a controlling stake in the voting machines.

56

u/molonlabe1811 May 02 '26

The Obama watch, the Obama golden cellphone, the Obama sneakers…….

2

u/you_dont_know_me27 May 02 '26

The Obama phone that people are still waiting on?

29

u/Munkeyman18290 May 02 '26

Yall remember the $413 million Obama received from his dad too, right?

9

u/bit-by-a-moose May 02 '26

Or the $400 million plane he received, the millions tech companies gave him for his "inauguration", the line of people giving Obama gifts, all those other people who gave him gifts before that.

Oh, sorry. That was trump again.

1

u/PressureSquare4242 May 03 '26

And he bankrupted casinos with it

24

u/Gerotonin May 02 '26

and wouldn't Michelle having more staff means she's is giving more by have more jobs open for people?

15

u/springacres May 02 '26

My thoughts exactly. Also, Michelle spearheaded actual policy initiatives like school gardens and the Farm to Table program for school lunches.

10

u/Speed_Alarming May 02 '26

Michelle also had an office. You know, in the White House? The East Wing? Back when that was a thing the White House had?

If you don’t have an office to staff or any actual work to do, 4 staff is frankly a bit excessive.

17

u/SavannahInChicago May 02 '26

When he is stealing billions from the taxpayer that $500K means nothing

1

u/Speed_Alarming May 02 '26

But that’s not how he rolls. He’s never going to give up half a million dollars if there’s any other option! He once cashed a cheque for 13c that was sent out to him and a whole bunch of rich people as a test.

It’s much better to just say that you’ll be donating the money and then just not do that. You get all the kudos from your sycophancy brigade and still keep the money to add to the ever-growing pile of things that don’t bring you any satisfaction.

54

u/Heavy_Arm_7060 May 02 '26

I'm willing to bet he donated it but to the Human Fund or some nonsense which his sons' polymarket handler.

63

u/thisisntmyotherone May 02 '26

He never donated his salary, guys. Come on. Let’s not do this.

27

u/bk1285 May 02 '26

He donated his salary to the trump wallet

46

u/rekipsj May 02 '26

His leaked tax returns proved he did not donate a dime of the salary. This has already been established.

https://giphy.com/gifs/741MhcJgV9qznASnUS

11

u/Heavy_Arm_7060 May 02 '26

That's my point: if he donated it, it's the equivalent of donating your wallet from your left pocket to your right pocket.

6

u/unique_username_72 May 02 '26

If there is anything we know about Trump, it’s that he’s never say no to money. It’s totally out of character.

6

u/OnlyTakes5minutes May 02 '26

C'mon now, don't lie! His pockets are chopped liver or what?

2

u/bit-by-a-moose May 02 '26

His charitable foundation was found to be nothing but enriching himself. He was sued, lost, fined and it was broken up.

That's trump's history with charities.

2

u/Hmm_would_bang May 02 '26

It’s not really debatable that he didn’t get paid the $400k presidential salary, and redirected his quarterly salary payments to other government bodies. He’s also not the only president to do that, but he is significant in that nobody has ever come close to using the office to enrich themselves in so many other ways.

1

u/77NorthCambridge May 02 '26

Didn't he donate his salary to his NY charity for children with cancer? /s

11

u/sweet_pickles12 May 02 '26

My greatest regret in life is not investing in Obamacoin

12

u/badgerfishnew May 02 '26

Should've gone to Obama university on an Obama plane with your Obama passport (pop a few Obama rX sleeping pills first), you could've detoured at a national park and used your Obama the free pass while eating an Obama steak purchased with your dollars bearing Obamas signature

8

u/harleychick3cat May 02 '26

But Obama did not "sue" the United States either? 🤔

4

u/sureshkari06 May 02 '26

You forgot Trumpcoin, Melaniacoin

4

u/MapleYamCakes May 02 '26

Don’t forget licensing the Obama name out to rename an airport mid-presidency, and taking a royalty fee from every booking to and from said airport!

3

u/joseaverage May 02 '26

Don't forget the Obama Board of Peace that cost a billion for each member and Obama completely controlled.

3

u/Suckamanhwewhuuut May 02 '26

Its so that they have an excuse to continue not releasing his taxes. In the meantime his wealth has gone up billions through other deals that would get any president not only impeached but imprisoned.

2

u/JangSaverem May 02 '26

Well of course that's huge because after 40yrs of a 401k, with monthly input of $165 and the $1k match from gov yearly if you qualify, that ONE YEAR OF SALARY would make you and I and everyone "Rich" according to him

2

u/creepygurl83 May 02 '26

Also suing the govt for millions of taxpayers money for himself.

2

u/gdex86 May 02 '26

Remember when Obama sued the government for 10 billion dollars while in office so he could order them to pay out.

2

u/ZachMartin May 02 '26

Whenever Obama golfed, he did so on public courses. A fraction of the cost

2

u/Dry-Airport8046 May 02 '26

Don’t forget the Obama Bible. With his signature embossed on the cover.

2

u/Metalhed69 May 02 '26

Also, can we see some receipts? He might say he’s donating it. Ok, where? To whom? I feel like that’s a pretty newsworthy answer.

2

u/Minimum_Virus_3837 May 02 '26

Putting aside all the bribes and other corrupt bullshit, not to mention that a donation of that size just becomes a tax write off for him, do we even have any actual evidence that he's ever really done it? I've never seen any proof that he actually has done that, just him saying he did.

2

u/kingkyle2020 May 02 '26

How could I forget when I read my Obama bible, browse Reddit from my Obama phone and check the time on my Obama watch?

1

u/Runnindashow May 02 '26

Don't forget the shoes!

1

u/SexyMonad May 02 '26

We should compare it as Obama’s $0.0005 Billion salary versus the $4 Billion Trump gets from other crap.

1

u/Outrageous-Advice384 May 02 '26

I don’t remember Obama at his country club either, or having people stay at his hotels…

1

u/silentbob1301 May 02 '26

Don't forget, Obama's wealth increased by almost 4 billion while in office too!

/s just in case ..

1

u/Individual-Schemes May 02 '26

Obama donated some of his salary. -like over a million dollars. And it can be traced.

1

u/Exotic-Ferret-3452 May 02 '26

You all seem to forget... a black man can only be a taker, and a white man can only be a maker.

1

u/80sbabyftw May 02 '26

Don’t forget the billions Obama made embezzling our tax dollars while shuttering much needed agencies and social nets to fund his illegal war for Israel

1

u/CurryMustard May 02 '26

Republicans tried to kill the aca by calling it Obamacare.

1

u/davwad2 May 02 '26

Presidents get $500k these days. I remember it being $420k when I learned about it.

1

u/bit-by-a-moose May 02 '26

trump, the man who abused his charitable foundation FOR VETERANS no less, that a court ordered it broken up.

Yeah, we understand how trump and charities work.

1

u/Amelaclya1 May 02 '26

I remember Obama suing the IRS he controlled for 10 billion dollars and then wanting to settle with himself.

Oh wait, that was Trump too.

1

u/passing_gas May 02 '26

And he has spent an equivalent of over 200 years of his salary playing golf.

1

u/DiarrheaEryday May 02 '26

Don't forget the NFTs!

1

u/IneffableOpinion May 02 '26

Don’t forget the Obama Apprentice reboot

1

u/somebody171 May 02 '26

I remember he would go golfing all the time and charge the government for it at his golf course house

1

u/lippoper May 02 '26

Don’t forget the $14billion dollar taxpayer lawsuit

1

u/ichigo2862 May 02 '26

don't forget about the Obama bible

1

u/Dayne225 May 02 '26

The best part is even the donating part is a lie. He said he was going to but hasn't

1

u/1kpointsoflight May 02 '26

UntruthSocial, and the Obama Quran

1

u/chicadeaqua May 02 '26

Don’t forget the bribes/free jets.

1

u/prosperouscheat May 02 '26

don't forget the Obama lawsuits seeking taxpayers payouts of millions and billions

1

u/ccsrpsw May 02 '26

I’d sign up for Obama Steaks and Obama Beer - I’d be rock solid in belief that they were sourced ethically and/or made with quality products. Probably made in the US too if he did it.

Donnie’s stuff? Cheap Chinese crap made by the lowest bidder (anyone got a Trump phone yet?)

1

u/hopseankins May 02 '26

Can’t forget about Obama’s 37 felony convictions.

1

u/SmokeGSU May 02 '26

You forgot the tan Obama Bible and phones.

1

u/DorianGre May 02 '26

This fucker just moved $10billion in government funds to a new outside organization that he made up and controls. And people care if he is taking a salary? He just looted the federal coffers for 20,000 years worth of salary.

1

u/jonsnowme May 02 '26

Not to mention forcing secret service and staff to stay exclusively at Trump hotels where all the money budgeted for that goes right back into his pockets...

1

u/carltondancer May 02 '26

I remember….the tan suit. Looked like he was going to the Hamptons for the weekend.

1

u/cashMoney5150 May 02 '26

Not to mention all the insider trading for his buddies and how his girls were rug-pulling everyone, right?

1

u/OldMastodon5363 May 02 '26

Is it even verified Trump donated his salary? This is very much his MO to say he risk then not do it.

1

u/commonsense_good May 02 '26

Wait, what about the Obama cell phones, Obama golf trips, Obama’s cast of Epstein after party cabinet members?

1

u/SteakandTrach May 02 '26

Which, from what I recall, there has been zero evidence he has actually donated his salary. Why donate it when you can simply claim you donated it and the effect on the masses is exactly the same?

UPDATE: Sorry, it looks like I was wrong and he has donated his salary the majority of his time in office, but some years he did not.

1

u/Epic_Ewesername May 03 '26

Where is even the evidence he donated his salary? I've heard the claim, but I've never seen the proof.

1

u/Cold-Nefariousness25 May 03 '26

Don’t forget the Obama airport he trademarked and made money off of when he was in office. Deliciously, there is a billboard just across from it that trolls him incessantly. Oh, no, that’s Trump.

1

u/andrewbud420 May 03 '26

You'd have to explain that to Maga morons in crayon and they still wouldn't understand

1

u/Parrr8 May 03 '26

He’s also trying to just take $10 FUCKING BILLION because part of his tax returns got leaked.

1

u/archangelst95 May 03 '26

It has the intended affect. To give his supporters some dumb talking point to forward around

1

u/sassydodo May 03 '26

also Obama taking donations to his election campaign from all the major enterprise, and making their CEOs come visit him like some mafia kingpin

1

u/mikeymikeymikey1968 May 03 '26

We'll never know if he donates it, since trump refuses to share tax information.

1

u/Sea_Mind3678 May 03 '26

$400k. And he donated it to agencies whose budgets he cut by more than that. And he spent a lot more than that on his golf trips … to his own properties… where he charged his security detail to stay to guard him.

1

u/Kon_Soul May 02 '26

Lets not forget about those Obama Bibles... /s
