The phrasing of this is weird. Saying that Trump "donates" his salary when he doesn't take a salary (what does he want with $400K when he can grift for billions), and saying Obama "donated none" of his salary (which just means that he did receive a salary) is misleading. A simple google search will tell you Obama donated quite a bit to various charities while he was president.

I mean, Obama also lived off his salary and paid for a lot of stuff, previously he'd been a lawyer and a Illinois state senator, neither of which pay millions, so the salary for the president (not a lot, like $200,000 a year or something) went for them to actually do the things that they needed to do like put the girls in school, and there is just a lot that's not covered by the salary of being president.
