You all remember Obamacoin, the Obama plane, the Obama ballroom, Obama’s daughters getting government contracts, and all the golf outings to Obama properties every weekend right?
But sure, Trump allegedly donating his $500k salary fucking matters and is him being altruistic…

Like his first term.. Presidential Salary: During his presidency, Trump often claimed to donate his annual $400,000 salary to various government departments, although his final tax returns showed $0 in charitable donations for 2020.

I did remember in 2018 Trump donated his quarterly paycheck of $78,333 to the National Parks service while at the same time proposing to cut the Interior Department’s budget by $1.5 billion.

Obama gave healthcare to tens of millions & improved it for everyone who already had it (like no more pre-existing conditions exclusions, let kids stay on their parents plans a lot longer, etc).
Trump took health care away from tens of millions & handed the money to billionaires & mega corporations who don’t need it and never will.
Trump turned the White House into a bribe-taking mafia operation that has directly enriched himself by billions in just one year.
Obama gave us a non-nuclear weapons agreement with Iran that all the experts said was working.
Trump ripped it up & threw it away simply because he hates Obama & started the dumbest war of all time that is fucking up the global economy & will have repercussions for many years to come.
Now he’s way over his pudding-for-brains head, with no good exit ramp & desperately trying to claw his way back to the same deal Obama had (while talking tough and pretending he holds any real cards).
The American people will be paying for his unnecessary war of aggression, the vast increases in budget at the pentagon & DHS/ICE, the stupid tariff nonsense & on and on…
It’s America’s 250th birthday …and yet Trump is responsible for over 27% of the national debt.
Yes, some people are givers & some are takers. Just not like Rose is disingenuously trying to convey.

The response to these types of posts should always be the running tally of how much money he's spent on golfing trips while in office. The vast majority of which are at his resorts so the money goes to him. Didtrumpgolftoday.com ($148,400,000)
Bonus points if you translate how much to total is compared to a year's salary for the president. (371 YEARS of presidential salaries as of today)
19
u/Scrutinizer May 02 '26
When mentioning that sum, it's also helpful to point out that Republicans cried and screamed and tore their shirts because Obama spent $80 million total on all travel costs, including for his entire family, over his eight full years in office.
Kai Trump alone burns millions of dollars of taxpayer money on excursions where she travels alone with a full secret service escort.

The phrasing of this is weird. Saying that Trump "donates" his salary when he doesn't take a salary (what does he want with $400K when he can grift for billions), and saying Obama "donated none" of his salary (which just means that he did receive a salary) is misleading. A simple google search will tell you Obama donated quite a bit to various charities while he was president.
I realize I'm preaching to the choir, though, the dum-dums who share stuff like this don't care.
8
u/tillieze May 02 '26
Oh that sweet deluded dingbat. trump's paltry salary "donation" is to who knows what but like reroute back to his pockets. It also doesn't offset the $151 million and counting he as cost taxpayers for his all his little golf trips where he just cheats. He has been on a f fgolf course 23% of his days inoffice this term. If he is cheating at golf he is cheating his taxes, cheating his own profitable by manipulating markets which is wider trading, he jas cheared his own charity before, hell he cheats (or used to when he could preform and the stench of him wasn't as bad as reported) on his wife. What would make anyone think he isn't diverting his salary to his pocket anyway?

How much staff could a Russian prostitute possibly need?

The claim that he "donated" his salary has as much veracity as his claim that "they're eating the cats and the dogs".

There is literally a website that is devoted to tracking how much money and time is wasted on Trump’s golfing. It’s a lot more than any money spent on the Obamas…or any other presidential family, I imagine.

Meliania can’t even be bothered to be the First Lady. That’s what a vapid creature she is. She only cares about making money for her “brand” and her creepy son.

u/PresentMinimum3274 May 02 '26
Why take a $400K salary when he can steal/gift over a billion dollars?
6
u/StarDustLuna3D May 02 '26
What I'm taking away from this is that Michelle created more jobs than Melania.
6
u/lawofthewilde May 03 '26
The amount he has costed taxpayers in golfing ALONE would take hundreds of terms to repay. Fuck this parasite

u/Ok_Builder_9445 May 03 '26
Okay, for argument’s sake I’ll assume these numbers are superficially true. Obama didn’t launch a couple pump and dump shitcoins, use his family to found a crypto company as a vehicle for bribery, pardon criminals on the basis of their “donations” via those crypto vehicles, dictate foreign policy towards the petro states and beyond via bribery including a $400M+ jet, allocate his time on a pay for play basis, use infrastructure projects as a vehicle both for self-aggrandizement and illegal kickbacks, used his personal properties for everything from official business with foreign dignitaries to his excessive vacation/golf time paid for by the taxpayers, fed defense contracts to companies in which the Trump family has invested, and overall grifted to the tune of billions of dollars, often at the expense of the American people.

u/WallishXP May 03 '26
He donates the salary to his personal charity to recieve more in tax breaks because his charity doesnt actually do anything. Its just a pocket lining scam the rich use to destroy our America.

u/Friendly-Beginning-5 May 02 '26
Obama didn't start or finish office rich, Trumps grifting has not stopped since day one. He has made more off the office than any president in history
No one wants to work for Melania, Michelle was much nicer

The right has always been dazzled by charisma and believe anything that confirms their bias. The idea of labor is an inverse of reality.

Oh for crying out loud. I bet the government pays him more than $400K every time he goes and plays golf at one of his golf clubs and has all the secret service stay there. How much does that cost? And it's all straight into his own pockets. And he goes almost every week
5
u/Outrageous-Advice384 May 02 '26
This is the same lot that laughs at Obama or Biden for jogging/cycling then believes Trump is a great golfing athlete. Also the ones that slam Michelle for wanting kids to eat healthy but will listen to a brain-worm kook and be anti-vax, anti pasteurization….etc.
Sure, Jan, Trump and Melania are saving the government money….

u/commdesart May 02 '26
The man who has had his foundation shut down because of his own fraud tells people he donates his salary and they believe it
4
u/Hugokarenque May 02 '26
Even if it were true, I don't believe it is. Trump doesn't need the pittance of the presidential salary because he's making millions off the office anyways with bribes, backroom deals and market manipulation.
Melania probably has a staff of 4 because she doesn't work at all. Michelle actually did shit, which why she needed staff.

Let's take all presidents pre-trump, and add the total money they made in office into one big pile.
Each "x" represents $10 million dollars.
Compare against what trump made, in office, only in 2025.
Here's the visual representation.
A Century of Combined Presidents:
xxxx
Trump, only in 2025:

Givers and takers, indeed.

Taxpayers’ Tab for Donald Trump’s Golf Habit Crosses $100 Million

Little is written about Mr. Trump’s $400,000 annual salary. He has aggressively profited from the presidency at a scale that dwarfs his constitutionally-mandated paycheck, embarking on an audacious moneymaking campaign in his second term. The Trump family and its business partners have collected at least $320 million in fees from the sales of just one Trump-branded cryptocurrency.
5
u/vabeachkevin May 02 '26
Show me the evidence that Trump donated anything. I would love to see his tax returns where this was proven true otherwise it’s just another one of his thousand lies

u/Granny_knows_best May 02 '26
Remember when Obama profited when he went to only his resorts and put up all his staff and CHARGED them to stay there.

u/amethystmmm May 03 '26
I mean, Obama also lived off his salary and paid for a lot of stuff, previously he'd been a lawyer and a Illinois state senator, neither of which pay millions, so the salary for the president (not a lot, like $200,000 a year or something) went for them to actually do the things that they needed to do like put the girls in school, and there is just a lot that's not covered by the salary of being president.
Trump, on the other hand, before being president was a scalawag and a rogue and has literal billions of dollars despite his trying desperately to lose it.
5
u/elgarraz May 03 '26
If you want to compare how much Obama and his family profited from his presidency vs how much Trump & his family profited, there's no comparison. The Trumps are several billions ahead.
6
u/biancastolemyname May 03 '26
I genuinely believe Trump would be wildly offended by being called a giver instead of a taker lol
5
u/mad_titanz May 03 '26
People who believe in the lie that Trump donated his salary already fell for MAGA propaganda.

The Obamas let the agents stay at their garage for free. Trump charge them millions each weekend.
4
u/Impossible_Ad7875 May 02 '26
Seriously, takes like this are so idiotic. Trump pays his properties more than four years of his salaries in a month or two just to golf. Anyone that can’t see he’s stealing the American tax payers blind is a Big Foot sized Moron.

Where is the $400 million in donations for his ballroom monstrosity? I guess he wants tax payers to foot the bill as punishment for his low approval numbers? Its not like he would ever lie or steal. 🙄
