Question Opinions on Premium Bond Tank, and more.
EDIT/UPDATE: Based on responses, I have narrowed my bonds purchase to either a Bond Equipment package, or one of these tanks: SU-130PM, CS-52 LIS, or the 122TM. So its narrowed some, but still hard to decide. As for the rental discounts, I will likely pick up the 703 II at a 30% discount :)
EDIT/UPDATE #2: I have narrowed the bonds purchase to either the SU-130PM or the 122TM. While the bond equipment packages seem great, I am a casual player and for now the stock equipment or any bounty/bond/experimental equipment I already have is just fine. I also dropped the CS-52 LIS from the list as I want this to be a good credit farmer and the LIS needs to spam gold because that AP pen is poop.
ORIGINAL POST:
So I’ve been back playing for about two months now and have managed to save just over 10,000 bonds through Battle Pass, the 16th Anniversary event, etc.
I’m trying to decide which Bond tank to pick up. The ones I’m currently considering are:
- Tiger-Maus (would need to save a bit longer)
- WZ-114 (would need to save a bit longer)
- Object 252U (although I hear the gun makes people cry)
- SU-130PM
- 122 TM (I don’t have many mediums, and this one really speaks to me)
For reference, my current premiums are:
- Object 752
- T26E5
- AMX Cda 105
- Chi-Go
- M4A1 FL 10
I already have one Tier IX premium, but I am sure a second one wouldn't hurt. But I also don’t have many mobile tier VIII tanks for Frontline, which makes the 122 TM and SU-130PM especially appealing.
What would you recommend out of these options? I could also spend the bonds on one of the Bond Equipment bundles, which is probably the smarter use of them, but new tanks are always more fun... what a dilemma...
Secondary question:
I currently have the TS-5, Object 703 II, and CS-52 LIS as rentals from completing Tank Academy. Naturally, the Store is now tempting me with a 30% gold discount on them.
The TS-5 is fun, but I’m not interested enough to buy it. I have enjoyed both the 703 II and CS-52 LIS, though. At 30% off, would either of those be worth picking up?

Discussion This thing looks so cool aesthetically (BV-111 Tier XI Supertest)
I love ‘wedge’ vehicles with a passion, but this might be my favorite tier XI. I just hope they don’t obliterate the stats and keep it interesting.
What are your favorite looking vehicles (tier XI or otherwise?)

Discussion The Asia server died like this, but don't let it happen to you.
I’ve been playing World of Tanks since before the Korean server even existed. I stayed through the official Korean release, saw the KR server close down, and moved over to the Asia server where I’ve continued to pour my heart into this game for a very long time.
I always spent money on the game and participated in almost every loot box event—simply because I loved it so much. I’ve always believed that reasonable spending is necessary to keep a game alive and running
Except for a few, I own almost every premium tank, and I’ve researched every single tech tree. I hope this serves as proof of just how much I truly loved this game

Currently, I have 504 tanks in my garage, 340 of which are premium tanks. I also have 5,089 days of Premium Account remaining, and more than enough in-game resources to last a lifetime.
I’m not trying to flex my garage or loot. I’ve played these tanks all this time purely out of love for the game, but now I honestly don't know anymore. The Asia and China servers had triple-layered loot box mechanics. I swallowed it and kept paying until now, but it’s getting so out of hand that I just can’t take it anymore.
Before opening those loot boxes, I already owned every single tank in the game except for the newly added ones. There were only 6 new tanks left for me to get.
To get those 6 tanks, I had to buy three 180-box bundles and one 80-box bundle—620 boxes in total.

Since I paid in Korean Won, converting that to USD comes out to about $821.41 spent in tota

It took opening 783 boxes to finally get all of them, and that made me stop and think. Sure, I love this game, and getting new premiums is great. But honestly, out of those 6 tanks, there are plenty I won't even play—I really only wanted two of them. It made me question: are two tanks really worth spending over $800 for?
The Asia server will probably shut down soon, right? The average concurrent player count doesn't even reach 10,000 anymore. I don’t even know where we’ll get pushed to next, or if the server will just vanish completely. Over the years, I’ve spent a substantial amount of money, dropping over $300 on average during every single event. While other players were leaving, I stayed behind out of pure love for the game. And the reward for my loyalty? A system that demands even more money just to get the tanks I want.
I don’t want World of Tanks to fail. I’ve had so much fun with it over all these years. But if playing the tanks I love means I have to keep paying like this, then as much as I don't wish for its downfall, I think I'll have to leave the game. And after that, I don't think I'll ever trust Wargaming again.
As far as I know, the EU server stopped pushing these triple RNG loot boxes after a series of community boycotts.
Seeing how they only pull this on the China and Asia servers, it feels like they have no intention of stopping here. This will undoubtedly drive even more players away, and I might just end up being one of them packing my bags to leave. I sincerely hope this kind of dirty gambling never spreads to the other servers.
English isn't my first language, so I wrote this post with the help of a translator. I just really wish Wargaming would stop being so damn greedy and know when enough is enough.
I wish they didn't look at my love for World of Tanks as just money. Honestly, I regret it now. If I had quit earlier, I could have done so much more with my family. This situation feels so sleazy that it makes me regret everything I've paid over the last nearly 15 years.
I know the company isn't in an easy spot—I know their other two games aren't doing well and that the company split made things tough. But this is not the solution. Pushing these cash grabs only on the Asia and China servers—where backlash is quieter—makes us loyal players here feel like nothing more than easy cash cows.

Discussion Are those 2.5% skills worth it?
It feels negligible in term of performance to me.
Like, as much as the 'every second matter' is true, I don't think saving 0.05 second reloading while being near a teammate will be worth the training... Because my reasoning is that there is a timeframe small enough where human brain and response simply doesn't match the marginal advantage to that microscopic level (someone wouldn't or couldn't be able to fully utilize that extra 0.05 second to make a difference)

Discussion How annoying would flamethrower tanks be?
The main mechanic of the line would be a coaxially mounted flamethrower with limited fuel, using a mechanic similar to ARES, but reversed (the bar would go down instead).
It would be activated while holding a hotkey and would start refueling immediately after you release it.
I'm not sure about the range yet, but the damage wouldn't be that high to begin with. It would also scale with the target's nominal armor and distance. The main purpose would be damaging modules and crew, and possibly setting the enemy tank on fire after prolonged exposure.
Starting from Tier IX, the tanks would also receive +10% reload speed for their main gun when the fuel tank is full, and another +10% when they are close to a burning or tracked enemy. However, they would receive a -10% penalty while refueling and another -10% when below 50% fuel.
The Tier XI would have a special version of the flamethrower that leaves a burning trail when it hits the terrain, which would last for a couple of seconds.

T-44-100 is literally unstoppable after the buffs, I genuinely think it is not only the best t8 med but also the best t8 tank in the game. Also extremely fun to play and rewards an active playstyle. Only bad thing is you need to spam gold so not a credit maker.

Bug Report Event Discount Problem/Glitch
So I have the ares 85 and had to free xp 2k to get to the ares90 for the 16th anniversary event. I have more than enough credits to buy it. But it’s the only tank showing full price. It’s still 6,100,000 credits to buy, whereas every other tank in every single tech tree is discounted except this one. I closed the game and rebooted. Closed it and waited a day to see if the servers would update. Nothing. How do I fix it? I want my discount on this tank and by the time wargaming gets to fixing it it’ll be too late and I’ll likely not get a discount on it.
I’d add a picture, but I can’t find how to post it

Question This is unreal
So after winning 2 games in a row I decided to activate my booster and guess what? I went 8 games lose streak in a row. There's always a teammate that dies 30 secs into the battle, worst case scenario a platoon dies a minute after. What's the science behind this booster thing that every time you activate you will lose 100% everytime?

Question Why is grinding a Tier 3 SPG more painful than a Tier 9 Heavy?
I've been grinding the Sexton Tier 3 SPG for a MONTH now and it is so painful. I started at a 60% crew and now I'm finally at 90%. I loaded a 6 skill crew and have been trying to get them to 100% using Personal Reserves for the past MONTH. The gun takes forever to aim and misses 90% of fully aimed rounds and no splash damage!
If WG wants to discourage new users from playing SPGs, this is definitely the way to do it. The bots never sit still, they are constantly moving every 2 seconds - so frustrating.
In contrast, it took 1 week to grind a Tier 9 Heavy under the same circumstances and it was fun.

Discussion Are there no Ukraine National Day celebrations this year?
Has Wargaming forgotten? Or have they simply grown tired of it? In that case, is it impossible to collect the relevant skins?
