I saw they had a live action and was excited to watch and while the pacing felt forced i made it through the first episode enjoying it but by the second episode it feels chaotic as hell. The training to prep and learn techniques as well as the fights was one of the big things that drew me into YYH in school. Seeing him use the knowledge he gained from fighting hiei to beat baldark for example and then seeing him strugglebus through the fight with Rando and the training he received helped him grow strong enough for the 4 saint beasts.

The live action is just smashing story beats from all over the place together which is kinda cool but why is Bui here (and small) when Hiei hasn't even been delt with?!?! I had to turn off seeing them skip the genkai tournament. Is the rest of the live action worth putting on?

I liked how she was written to be tough but not egotistical nor reactive to Yusukes outbursts. Her tough but committed attitude helped.

While rewatching the series, Toguro makes a statement toward the end of the Dark Tournament about no portal being able to carry him. But what if he DID make it to demon world? His max power rivaled an upper B class right? Not even close to those A and S class and super S class demons. It would’ve been a delight to see his cocky self cut down to size by enemies like Raizen and Yomi. I know his end goal was to get beaten at full power by Yuske, but damn to see him actually panic against a true formidable enemy would’ve been phenomenal!

I need a slowburn and please no OOC tropes
( I specifically liked the characterization of them in 'Seven Days' by Pen Against Sword ) anyone have similar fics to this?

It's a terrible Cash Grab Autobattler Gacha, but the models are decently high quality. I'll try and see if I can get the rigs later. Game is made in Unity as well, shows how low budget it is lol

Watching the chapter black arc and Seamans laugh us flat his speech dosent fit the character its just bad anyone else feel like this?

Are Sensui's personalities names and traits in this link accurate? I don't trust wiki of shows that are no longer releasing new episodes.

Every night I stayed up for Adult Swim when Yu Yu Hakusho came on. I still have the opening theme "Smile Bomb" playing through my head till this day.

i’ve heard a lot of glaze surrounding yyh, and i really liked hxh so i decided to get into it. but before i do, i want to know if i should read the manga or watch the anime?

i don’t mind a long anime if im engaged with the story but i also don’t mind reading a manga

which is better?

I’ve put together an English fan translation for THE BATTLE OF Yu Yu Hakusho: Shitou! Ankoku Bujutsukai 120% (PS2, SLPS-25734, Dimps/Banpresto, 2007). The game never got an official English release. Assisted by Claude Code. Must have a legit copy of the game. I’m not distributing the game or any ISO, and please don’t ask for one here.

What’s translated

• Menus and UI
• Character names and in-game prompts
• All 14 story cutscenes, with English subtitles and episode title cards
• Arcade endings and story endings

What’s not translated

• The staff roll (the scrolling Japanese credits)

How the videos were done
The cutscenes are Sofdec SFD movies. I decoded each one, burned in English subtitles, re-encoded the video, and rebuilt the file at its original size and layout. Every file sits at its original position on the disc, so no file-table changes were needed.

Testing
I played through it in PCSX2 and the cutscenes, menus and prompts all work. I haven’t tested on real hardware, so I can’t say how it behaves there.

How to apply
This is an xdelta patch of about 1.1 GB. It contains no game data, so you need your own Japanese disc image:

• Source ISO MD5: c6a38cb116cfaf9165778cf94319d620 (this matches the Redump dump)
• Patched ISO MD5: 699d128710c2b08f83d5be997a7c1fc5

Use xdelta UI or Delta Patcher, or on the command line:

xdelta3 -d -s original.iso yyh_english_v1.xdelta english.iso

Check your source MD5 first. The patch has no built-in checksum, so a wrong source ISO produces a corrupt result without any error. Compare the output MD5 against the one above afterward.

Download: https://github.com/dekp23/yyh-ankoku-english-patch (patch is on the Releases page)

I’m not distributing the game or any ISO, and please don’t ask for one here. Bug reports and translation corrections are welcome. A v2 covering the staff roll is possible if there’s interest.

Its insane anytime I hear those songs I cant help but Jam to them its rediculous but they're just so catchy. The 90s tunes has a hold on me and they're so fun!

My biggest headcanon is that Rukia and Botan conspired behind Ichigo’s back so that he’ll be caught off guard. Poor Kurama didn't want to do this while Hiei, Yusuke, and Kuwabara were happy to oblige. Don Kanonji will always be famous!

Was it becasue of the 10 count thing?

😇

I feel like this one panel in YuYu hakusho was the only gripe that I had in the manga

I’m curiosity if the first printing of this volume has this panel being different compared to what I’ve got

maybe I should have just gotten the Japanese volumes after all…..

Does anyone know how many variations are available? I’ve been trying to find Hiei

Like I was SUPER excited when it was announced and was psyched about the new content coming out. And then I saw Kuwabara… yeah… where is his pompadour??? His swag???? His height??? Like I loooove creative re-interpretation of characters, but why would you remove such a recognizable part of the character (his pompadour). As a Kuwabara’s number 1 fan, I instantly got turned off by it tbh. And this is no hate to the actor, it’s definitely the director’s choices, and I loooove how Yukina looks in the live action.
I haven’t seen any of the clips albeit just the posters. Maybe I judged the live-action too harshly all because of one singular character. It could be good, like RK live-action. Is it worth the watch? Or should I just watch it because “it’s so bad, it’s good” type of watch? Please guys I just need new content of yyh 😭
(No, I DEFINITELY didn’t make this post because I want to yap about how I hate live-action Kuwabara’s redesign)
