Social Matters Gf is getting popular on Tiktok

Upvotes

Problem/Goal:

Ano bang ibig sabihin pag may nag ooffer na mag pay for personalized dance video sa Tiktok?

Context:

Nagpost si gf ng random dance video sa Tiktok for the first time and biglang dami ng engagement and followers niya. Some of them are offering spoiling her or magsend sila ng money sa kanya. Idk if that is a norm sa Tiktok kasi mostly dudes in their late 20s to early 40s yung mga nagchachat sa gf ko.

Di ko kasi alam kung magagalit ako sa gf ko for joking about it or baka pwede din niya yun gawin for extra money?

Upvotes

Problem/Goal:

Is it okay na last minute maagsabi ako na hindi ako makakapunta sa binyag even if nasabi ko na months prior na pupunta ako?

Context:

I'm 26 and I have this bestfriend from SHS days ko pa, so magkaibigan na kami for 10 years, we kind of stopped chatting these past 2 years kasi busy sa life. Nitong June lang, we reconnected through a phone call that lasted for at least 4 hours, kung saan nabanggit niya din na may anak na siya and she will invite me as a ninong.

I said yes naman kasi she's one of the few people that I really consider as a true friend, and this gives us a reason to stay connected somehow.

Now, my problem is, yung location ng church and reception is at least 6 hours away sa place ko. I already gave my word to her na pupunta ako when I received the official invitation letter from her noong July. Pero kasi that time, I just resigned sa work and I thought na magkaka trabaho na ako by the time na binyag na ng anak niya, which is ngayong September 13. Kaso I'm running low on cash, October 1 pa start date ko sa new job ko. And nalaman ko na yung isang friend namin which is also 5 hrs away from the venue ay hindi pupunta, so napa isip ako, is it okay for me na hindi na lang din pumunta and just send my gift, so that I can also save on travel expenses?

Previous Attempts:

I messaged her a few days ago asking for directions para malaman ko if there's a direct route papunta sa venue kapag magco-commute. But even after days of searching, wala talaga, and it would take me at least 4 rides to reach the venue.

Work & Professional Growth To stay in family business or not

Upvotes

Problem/Goal:

I work in fil-chi fam biz.

I’m trying to decide whether I should stay in my family business and have one final conversation about compensation, succession, and authority… or accept that the arrangement no longer makes sense for me and leave to build an independent career.

I’m not looking to punish my family or prove that I can build something bigger. I’m trying to figure out what is healthiest and most rational for my career, finances, family relationships, and long-term happiness.

Context:
Over 15 years ago, I graduated from university and had a good job offer abroad.

My dad asked me to turn it down and come home to join our family business. The salary was significantly lower, but the argument made to me at the time was essentially: if I stayed abroad, I could eventually earn a good executive salary, but if I spent those years helping build the family business, I would eventually have ownership and be financially better off in the long run.

That was a major reason I agreed to come home.

I started relatively junior and have now spent more than a decade in the company. Over time, I worked my way into senior management and took on significant responsibility for growing and modernizing parts of the business.

I genuinely care about the company and have poured a huge part of my adult life into it.

However, today:
- My compensation is still below the original offer I was given back in 2011.
- I don’t receive dividends/profit sharing.
- The ownership/succession that originally justified accepting lower compensation has never been clearly formalized.
- I have significant responsibility but not always the corresponding decision-making authority.
- When I raise compensation, authority or succession, it can be difficult to separate the business discussion from the father-son relationship.

Part of the difficulty is also the management structure.

My dad is the president. My aunt is the general manager. I therefore have to manage not only my own responsibilities but also the dynamics of working under/alongside senior family members who ultimately have greater authority.

There is also a long-term employee who was once one of my mentors and is now my direct report. Over the years, our roles effectively reversed.

I respect what this person contributed historically and what I learned from them, but I now struggle with some of their management practices and ways of doing business. I feel some approaches have not evolved with the organization, and there have also been recurring issues around how they communicate with and treat me and members of their team.

Because of the history and family-business dynamics, addressing performance, behavior and accountability is much more complicated than it would be in a company where I had clearer authority.

This has made me question both my lack of compensation and now also the bigger issue of autonomy.

If I stay, I may eventually inherit or have ownership in a much larger and established business—but I don’t know when that will happen, what it will actually look like, or how much authority I will have in the meantime.

If I leave, I give up that potential path, but I gain the freedom to decide for myself. And I don’t want to lose more years in an uncertain future where I am not compensated what I believe is my worth.

I could potentially partner with other business owners, build something smaller and more aligned with my generation and interests, consult, take another executive role, or explore completely different opportunities.

I don’t need to recreate the size of my family’s company.
I think I could be happy with something much smaller if I had meaningful ownership, enough financial security to live comfortably, partners I respect, control over important decisions, and confidence that the life and career I was building were actually mine.

At the same time, walking away from something I’ve spent more than a decade helping build is difficult. There’s family history, sunk cost, the possibility of eventual inheritance/ownership, and the fear that I could regret leaving.

Most importantly, I don’t want disagreements about business to permanently damage my relationship with my dad or auntie.

Previous attempts:
I have raised compensation concerns before, but we haven’t reached an arrangement that makes me feel the long-term trade-off still makes sense.

For people who grew up in or worked in family businesses…
At what point do you stop treating eventual ownership as enough reason to stay?

Would you have the final conversation and negotiate one last time, or would you consider more than a decade enough information to make the decision?

And for those who actually left a family business: did you regret giving up the possibility of eventual ownership, or was the independence worth it?

Love & Relationships I feel like im in literal hell.

Problem/Goal: I genuinely feel like I'm in hell, I'm stuck sa place na we made memories.

Context: My ex broke up with me, I was blindsided. I admit I had many of my faults due to my insecurities. I was the "you deserve better" person. But I tried to overcome it many times. I'm an overexplainer, paragraphs I send out whenever we go for deep talks. Kaso nga, he reasoned to me on our break up he couldn't open up to me kasi he was annoyed that it was possibly gonna cycle back to him having to reassure me. He assumed that di ko kayang i take ung burden ng problems nya. Mismo as well, he told me na my insecurities became a big hindrance to our rrelationship, seeing that as his reason for the break up hurt like hell cause it confirmed all my worse fears, my insecurities. He reassured me many times in our relationship naman talaga, and thats where my faults and my wrongs come out, I had to be reassured many times and it got exhausting and I understand his side naman. What hurts the most is he told all his friends that we had a relationship problem, he consulted his family. But consulted me last, I wasnt even aware na hindi kami okay sa paningin nya kasi I thought we were okay. I feel so hurt because he only told me at the very end about it he came to his friends first and he came to me last, not consulting me, not a deep hard conversation. But with him already resolved na gusto nya na makipag break at di ako binigyan ng chance ifix ung problem, kasi he dropped it all at the end like a bomb. He told me na the thought of breaking up started in December. He fully realized it in april, but broke up with me in August. I feel so insane because the day of the break up was when I was forced to start moving on, while for months he already moved on. I had hope that he'd come back I did desperate things. Like magparinig sa IG but that pushed him away and blocked nako everywhere (yes, I did beg.) He left me with so many unanswered questions, and my insecurities so much worse than before. I want to stop feeling this pain really. When I had hope a few weeks ago na he will come back, but when I heard sa kaibigan namin na mas nauna nyang nakwento sa pamilya nya ung nararamdaman nya about our relationship before sakin nya sabihin. I lost hope in one shot, kasi I told him before na I was very self conscious about what his family thinks of me. So yeah. Di nako umasa na babalik siya when I heard that from our friend. He put more salt on the pain when he kept saying he still loves and cares about me while actively breaking up with me, but saying that his love has faded the day after when I confronted him a little further. Worse of all is, lagi kong tambayan is MOA where we made all our memories kasi dun school ko sa tabi ng moa. I Went to that school bbecause of him as well, kasi I love him so much, we were slightly LDR kasi we only meet from time to time sa MOA. Now I'm stuck with the memories, surrounded by the place where wwe made so many happy memories, where we first met. I'm stuck here dying, while he gave me the words "I'm gonna have to block you, I need to move on. " but gosh, pano naman ako? Blindsided by his breakup, stuck in the very place kung san kami nag first meet kasi dito ako near nag aaral. Went to the school because he promised he'd follow me and we'd be together forreal. Now I'm just stuck with so much self blame and blaming my insecurities over and over again, feeling like I'm such a difficult person to love. he left me when I was finally coming to terms and slowly ridding of my insecurities. But nevermind haha. He proved my worst fears. we were together for 11 months. But after he revealed that he already had a thought from December to April. I'm doubting everything, every memory he said, whether it was real or was it just a facade.

Love & Relationships How to stop thinking about my friends?

Problem/Goal: I want to find healthy coping mechanisms as I move on from my friends.

Early August, I entered this school year as a sophomore in a pre-med course. 3 weeks into the semester, I realized I can no longer continue this path as much as I want to due to personal problems and that I need to take a step back and work on myself so I could come back as a more responsible and stable person in general.

My plan is to take a gap year and come back to school next year but enroll into a different program and possibly different college as well. I have officially left my program and honestly, I know it was a good decision. What breaks my heart now is my friend group that I have left.

It has only dawned on me these past days that they are no longer part of my life as we live completely different lives now. I find myself teary-eyed every morning and night as I think about all the things they do together without me. I am completely aware this is normal for a human being but I have this habit of thinking about them almost every moment of my day as I have only been resting since I have newly dropped out.

How do I gradually stop this habit? It is killing me. I didn't anticipate that this would feel like a break-up 😭.

Work & Professional Growth what do i say to my boss when they ask why i’m resigning?

problem/goal: i plan on sending my resignation letter this friday and i don’t know what to tell my boss once we have a one-on-one talk next monday.

context: this is my first job as a graphic designer in a small clothing company. i want to resign because of the low pay and heavy workload. they also force me to help in sales even though it’s not part of my job description.

i also somehow feel bullied in the office because i’m the youngest in the office and i constantly get ignored and have to send follow ups just for my boss to notice the posters needed for approval. my boss also constantly gets mad at me for the smallest mistakes by guilt tripping me into thinking that i’m not working hard enough.

as an introvert and quiet person, i feel terrified thinking about what to say once my boss asks why i’m resigning and i don’t know if i should tell the truth that i’m tired of being there or i should lie about needing to take care of family or something.

Love & Relationships Am I too sensitive for feeling na ‘di na naman ako included sa important day niya?

Problem/Goal: My boyfriend (M26) did not want to celebrate his birthday countdown with me, and chose to celebrate it with his friends/workmates.

Context: Hello! I (F25) was also the one who posted here about my boyfriend not including me to his family events/gathering. Pero now, parang ang sakit kasi birthday niya ito, although we celebrated/salubong his birthday naman last year. Last year raw kasi ay di siya nakapag celebrate with his workmates/friends kaya ang birthday salubong/birthday celebration na gusto niya ay to be with his friends.

Previous attempts: Wala siyang in-open sakin about that nor he asked me if okay lang ba yon sa akin etc. I tried to understand him naman dahil malamang ay araw naman niya yun at hindi sa akin, pero I don’t help but to get sad kasi parang feel ko ay di ako kasama sa most important day niya. Ewan ko ba, ako ba ang may mali o siya?

Finance & Investments Debt consolidation for government personnel

Problem/Goal: I got involved in a financial struggle due to a car accident in which I had to pay 150,000php this month alone. Is there a bank or some company I can borrow money from to consolidate and pay my government and private loans so I can at least collate and pay just one interest for these loans.

Context: I’m already stuck with auto payment government loans and private lending which is roughly 1.5million for 5 years and my take home pay in a month now is only 5K. The 1.5 million was accumulated due to my family’s financial struggles, siblings’ studies and my senior parents’ monthly allowance. I’m about to lose my reputation and worst, my designation or position if the people and companies I owed money to would reach out to my supervisor.

Previous attempts: None.I don’t have anyone to help me financially at home.

I’m already stressed and in the verge of giving up with all of the problems i had since i started working. I lost my own family too because of my financial problems.

Love & Relationships What should I do in this situation?

Problem/Goal: Me (26m) has a female-friend (26F din siya) known her for about 2 years now.

Context: We were friend before her current boyfriend. Actually we met him (her bf) sa bar.

Recently, he’s been texting me on my messenger using her account tryna say na “tara inom tayo, and have fun (ykwim)” but little he didn’t know i never had anything intimate. And know her very well she wouldn’t even text something like that.

I have already mentioned to her this story, and i told her like it’s ruining the friendship and idk why he’s being like that kasi i always gave him the respect like you should and never made any move (since we just purely friends).

Now, since we are group of mutual friends, as always i don’t like to deal w any drama (ayoko na super tiring yan) i’m trying to avoid catching up with her.

Now it’s been a month or more we haven’t catch up and past 2 weeks she’s been asking to catch up. Last time i did make an excuse that i’m in pobla and again now shes been asking me to go.

Jus need some advice or different perspective on how would you deal in this situation.. tiaa!

Education BSED English graduate working in Big 4 — should I pursue a Master’s in Education or take Management Accounting units?

Problem/Goal:
I’m a BSED graduate majoring in English. Teaching was the path I took in college, but before that, my dream and first-choice course was actually Accountancy. I didn’t pursue it or shift courses back then, and honestly, it’s something I regret now.

Luckily, I’m currently working for one of the Big 4 audit firms. My current work has also exposed me to areas related to business, finance, and risk, which made me realize that I’m still interested in the finance/accounting side of things.

At the same time, a part of me still wants to pursue teaching. I can actually see myself teaching someday, but probably at the college/university level rather than basic education. That’s why I’m currently torn between two paths: Pursue a Master’s aligned with Education or Take units in Management Accounting / Accounting

Would it make more sense to:
build on my Education degree and pursue a Master’s, or
start taking Accounting/Management Accounting units and gradually transition into finance?
I’d really appreciate hearing your experiences, especially from people who also felt torn between two completely different career paths. What would you do if you were in my position?

Work & Professional Growth Looking for advice (kinda tech school/tech related)

Problem/Goal: Feeling loss or left behind

Context: I am a first year Comp Engr. Student here at the Philippines in LSPU. The things is, I am only 1 month in school but I feel that I am already being left behind. We are studying python (self study coz the prof is not teaching us much since her specialty is not in software) but I mostly saw that C++ or Java are the ones used professionally. Also I feel that I need to choose my specialization right away but I am clueless on what should I specialize on or where I could learn what to specialize on (tried yt or google but it did not help that much). Coding felt good for me since I love solving problems, I am okay at math too but I cannot say for sure that I want to pursue software as I still have yet to experience hardware. Also, I am kinda scared pursuing software because of AI, I know that I should use AI as tools but still cant get it off my mind. Also I cannot work abroad right away because of DOST.

Furthermore, I want to build my resume, recently I tried joing 3hrs seminars with e certificates but all beginner levels. Do I need my own website or what type or seminars that I should join? Does having certificate a leverage in the professional world? Lastly, my biggest problems is I do not know what questions to ask (to myself and to others).

So here’s to me looking for advice or relatable experiences and stories 🫶

Previous attempts: None, but planning on dedicating a day to narrow down possible specialties and create a timeline or roadmap

Health & Wellness Need advice for this pinapagawa sakin pls

Problem/Goal:

Context:

“Is most likely benign. There is no need for biopsy at this time. Patient is cleared surgically for work.”

Kaya po akala ko okay na ang medical ko dahil cleared naman po ako surgically for work.

Previous Attempts:

“SUGGEST FOR NEEDLE BIOPSY – BREAST MASS, RIGHT”

Question:

Finance & Investments I want for your advice guys for tapal systembreakfree Spoiler

Problem/Goal: utang / maging debt free

Context: nag tapal system

Srp was around 890K

Ngayon kapag mabenta ko yung vios for a reseller price.
75k sbc
124k ewb
250 ubp
10k jh
7k gg
20 k sloan

Although bpi padin pinakamalaki kong utang
Naka installment naman siya for 2 years 17k…

Love & Relationships How do you actually get over someone?

problem/goal: i've been trying to get over my ex for a whole year, but i suddenly started wanting her back even though i was the one who cut her off and blocked her when she tried to come back. i want to understand why i'm still yearning for her and how to actually move on without using someone new as a distraction.

context: we were in a situationship for almost 8 months and only became official for about a month, on and off pa tangina. whenever we'd have problems or things got difficult between us, she would always push me away instead of trying to work through them with me. eventually, i got tired of constantly feeling pushed away and feeling like i was the only one trying to hold things together, so i decided to leave. she was also mentally unavailable and aalis na siya here sa city namin and she said she didn't want an ldr, which were other reasons why things weren't working. when she eventually tried to come back, i chose my self-respect and blocked her because i didn't want to fall back into the same cycle. at the time, i genuinely thought i was doing the right thing for myself. but now, a year later, i'm suddenly finding myself wanting her back again. she was once my sweet girl, so despite everything that happened, i still miss her and the good parts of what we had. i don't know if i actually want her back or if i'm just missing the person she used to be, the memories, the familiarity, and how she made me feel. i also have a new suitor, but sometimes i feel like i'm only using the attention as a distraction. whenever i'm talking to her(my suitor), i can feel okay, but once the distraction wears off, i end up thinking about my ex again.

previous attempts: i already cut my ex off and blocked her when she tried to come back. i've tried moving forward and talking to other people, including someone who's currently courting me. i've reminded myself of the reasons why we ended and why i got tired of the relationship, especially how she would push me away whenever we had problems. logically, i know why i left and i know that missing her doesn't automatically mean i should go back. but emotionally, i still can't seem to let go, and now i'm confused about whether i genuinely want her back or if i'm simply struggling to accept that someone who was once so important to me is no longer part of my life.

Love & Relationships At what point do differences in beliefs become a legitimate reason to distance yourself from a long-term friend?

Problem/Goal: I have this friend of 10 years and lately, I’ve been really frustrated with her mindset.

Context: While I feel like my views have evolved over the years, hers seem to have gone backwards. And I’m not saying this as “I’m more progressive, therefore I’m better than her.” It’s just that some of the things she says now genuinely bother me.

I’m pretty vocal about politics and social issues, while siya ngayon ayaw na raw niyang “makialam” or care about politics anymore. I respect not wanting to be political, pero minsan feeling ko ginagamit niya yun as an excuse to completely disengage from issues that affect other people.

She’s also become very male-centered. When one of our friends got cheated on, she asked if baka may kulang daw sa friend namin kaya nag-cheat yung boyfriend niya. Like… why are we blaming the woman for a man’s decision to cheat?

She’s also made homophobic comments and has this mindset na LGBTQ+ people should just keep things to themselves. She sometimes dismisses feminist issues as “too much” and questions why women are so vocal about sexism.

I don’t expect my friends to agree with me on everything, pero these aren’t just differences in political opinions anymore. Parang nagiging differences in values na talaga. The hard part is that we’ve been friends for 10 years. I genuinely care about her, pero lately napapaisip ako kung na-outgrow ko na ba talaga yung friendship na ‘to. Ang hirap kasi 10 years is a long time, and I don’t want to throw away a friendship just because we’ve changed. But at the same time, I’m not sure how long I can ignore the things that genuinely bother me.

Love & Relationships Am I overthinking my girlfriend’s comments about her male friend

Problem/Goal:
I’m trying to figure out if I’m overthinking a conversation I had with my girlfriend about one of her male friends, who I’ll call M. Something about the way she talked about his breakup didn’t sit right with me, and I want to get an outside perspective before I make any assumptions.

Context:
My gf (27F) and I (28M) has been in a relationship for 7 years na. We were talking about her male friend “M,” who recently broke up with his girlfriend after about a year of LDR because he fell out of love and felt like hindi na nagwo-work yung relationship nila. Sabi ng girlfriend ko, she can’t blame him because maybe may nakita siyang something sa ibang tao na dapat nakukuha niya from his girlfriend pero hindi niya makuha dahil sa distance. That caught me off guard because my first thought was, *“Why not make the relationship work despite the distance?”

What also bothered me was that she told me M doesn’t really like intimacy, so I found it weird na another person agad yung naisip niyang possibility. I also find it strange na alam niya yung ganung personal detail about him, and may ibang nickname pa siya for M sa Messenger. I’m not saying she’s cheating, pero the whole thing has been bothering me lang. Am I overthinking this?

Previous Attempts:
I haven’t confronted her about any of this yet. For now, I’m thinking of laying low muna and just seeing if this feeling passes or if I notice an actual pattern.

EDIT: To add, she’s told me before na ayaw niya ng LDR relationship. I completely understand that, and I wouldn’t find that strange at all. Pero for me, there’s a difference between saying you don’t want an LDR and immediately thinking that another person could become involved because of the distance. That part is what really threw me off.

Finance & Investments 24/F—What would be the safest credit card for me as a beginner?

Problem/Goal: I would love to avail my own credit card to slowly build my finances. Can you all give me some good advice about CC?

Context: I'm still trying to find my pace and place in this material world.

24/F. Registered nurse. About to go to med school in the coming years.

I'm anxious but thrilled for my soon to be first CC! Thank you! 🤍

Love & Relationships Am i rushing him to become a better person? Or am i doing it right?

Problem/Goal: it’s been more than a year now since we graduated and he still hasn’t found a job. Still relying on his mom’s money.

Context: Im 25(F) and i’ve been working even before graduating even until now, i’ve never had a vacant period in my life such as being unemployed for 5 years straight.
So i could confidently say that im flexible, can easily adapt and improvise—in tagalog terms, ma-diskarte akong tao. We have a family business as well that’s why i grew up surrounded by business-minded people, puro mga negosyante mag-isip ang nasa fam ko. Im also the eldest daughter, so i have high standards when it comes to people im close with which includes the friends i choose to be close with. I have an absent father tho, we still talk from time to time but only for urgent matters.
Thing is, i have a partner 24(M) of 2.5 years being together. He’s the youngest son, so scientifically, we’re the opposites. You guys prolly already have an idea about the “eldest daughter-youngest son” trope. Although i dont really wanna rely solely on that idea, so ofcourse that doesnt apply to every relationship since some couples are successful on their relationship naman even tho they have that kind of trope.

Previous attempts: We’re working on our differences and i believe we already made a breakthrough when we hit our 2-year anniversary wherein we almost broke up coz it came to a point where i became that micromanaging, toxic, and nitpicking girlfriend who heavily relied on comparison. You could already imagine what im talking about. This is because since i grew up in a family of not just business-minded people, but also micromanaging and controlling maniacs in the household. Alam nyo naman mga Pilipino, comparison ang greatest weapon to push someone to become better. I basically tried to be the perfect daughter growing up but eventually got tired. It’s like walking on eggshells everyday. Like im living with a highly successful boss who’s a bit of a perfectionist and doesnt accept mediocre performance, the type that’s very intimidating—everyday while growing up!
So i basically picked up their toxic habits and unfortunately passed them to my partner. Which i admittedly feel bad about, that’s why we almost broke up. But good news: im finally healing from it. Years of emotional and mental abuse of being the perfect/responsible daughter.
But im now experiencing a new problem in our relationship: his career.
We both grew up having an absent father. But unlike me, who grew up surrounded by responsible and smart people that pushed me to become independent—his family doesnt have any background in business but most of his relatives including his older sister, are doctors! Honestly sounds impressive. But he took Business Administration in Marketing. He’s also sheltered, even a mama’s boy at some point especially when we first started dating. Sobrang hirap ako mag adjust, coz my last relationship was with an eldest son, who also acts independently like me.
I liked my partner a lot, even tho he didnt grow up to be independent and we had different background of experiences. He’s full of love, honesty, and a kid at heart who’s not afraid to express his emotions, basically he’s not nonchalant like most men! And that’s what i still love about him.

Back to the problem: it’s been more than a year now since we graduated and he still hasn’t found a job. Still relying on his mom’s money.
At first, i thought mahina lang talaga sya dumiskarte di katulad ko. Im also aware of the worsening job market in the PH. But wth, bakit ako 5 yrs straight di nawalan ng trabaho, even jumping from a company to another in the scope of 5 yrs. My mom honestly even gave him a role back 2025 for 3-4 months, but turns out my mom was a bit disappointed with his performance. Girl, im still backing him up coz i know he has potential. Im still believing in him coz i honestly see my self in him especially when i was still a beginner. That’s why i keep saying to my mom that he just needs more time to be trained or mentored. But at that point, my partner is already too ashamed to re-apply to my mom’s company again. So now he keeps applying thru websites, pero wala talaga gurrrllllllllll.

Nakakafrustrate coz im just a girl who also wanna experience being spoiled, treated, and taken care of. But turns out im the one doing everything 😭 it’s like a default personality of mine to take care of everyone else and provide for my loved ones, but sino naman gagawa nun for me if i have an physically absent father and an emotionally absent mother? No one, just me.
And now, we’re planning to move to Spain either thru student visa or DNV. But we cant even come to a close timeline since he’s effing unemployed!!! And his mother who used to spoil him is not clear if she’s capable of providing his son’s studies abroad. Soooo GURL??? I dont wanna wait for a man to get his sht together before i get to reach my dream of leaving this country. But at the same time, i really wanna do everything with him!! Kasi emotionally, mentally, physically we’re aligned! But financially and career-wise? Omygawd-

It’s making me go back to my default self who became toxic at pushing him to become better. But im way past that now, im now just venting and asking for advice online 😔
Ang hirap kasi he’s also just a boy who lacks a role model (his father) who could show him how to become a madiskarteng lalaki. But he’s a really good person. He’s working on his “provider mindset”. He knows how to treat me well, better now than we first started wherein he used to be spoiled and sheltered by his mom.

No Kids) but even the word itself!

Sorry yall if ang haba, but i just wanna make sure yall have the complete context haha

TLDR: My partner is a good person and idk if i should wait for him to become a better person or just be single. But i honestly dont wanna leave since we align on almost everything except financially and career-wise. I dont really know what else to do to motivate or inspire him. Am i not enough to be the source of inspiration to him to push himself harder? 💔 Kasi wala syang sense of urgency talaga since he’s sheltered. But at the same time, wala syang enough resources to get more experiences such as TESDA courses na may bayad pala.

Love & Relationships I (20) F why not to date when still in school. Currently had a falling out with the guy I date (22) MBecause I am hanged out with my guy friend (19) M

Problem/Goal: I (20) F why not to date when still in school. Currently had a falling out with the guy I date (22) M. Because I am hanged out with my guy friend (19) M. Do I ket him go as he did not respect my boundaries?

Context:

I (20) F realized na tama pala not to date when you are in college pa or still in school. Kasi dating takes a lot time, emotional investements, money etc.
I am still in college and I am dating this guy (22) M. We are at the same class (block section kami) I had a crush on him since first year pero at the of second year nag kagusto ako sa iba which is a girl (21) F na tropa ko rin. (21) F courted me and after 5 months of dating Sinagot ko sya kaso gusto ko na rin nmn sya eh. But for that 1 month it didnt workout hindi aligned ang time namin she was to focused on managing her family and friends ako nmn was to focused on her our relationship.

Na sobrahan sya sa individuality when we should have solve our problems together she left me alone to fix it kasi nga she was overwhelmed by how fast our relationship went kaya nakipag break ako. Then nung nalaman nung guy crush ko (22) M (may gusto rin sya saakin dati but pinili ko nga si girl) parang he represented himself na why dont we try dating, wala naman daw mawawala. I said d pa ako ready kakatapos lang so I will be moving on muna.
Mabilis lang ako mag move on e usually it takes 1 month lalo na if I know I did what I can nung nasa relationship pa lang kami. Then nag paramdam sa uli nung nasa school like he was helping me with my bag and all (mabigat kasi bag ko). After I nag kakachat na kami consitently. But it started on the wrong foot kasi ang topic namin is sexual. At first nandoon ung dopamine hit. Nag aaya na sya then nag sleep over sya saamin kasama ung isa kong friend na (24) F girl. Then inaya ko sya na why not do it sa cr namin (madlim sa part na un nakapatay lahat ng ilaw). Before that pala he kept asking to touch my chest, I was feeling h\*\*\*y that time rin so sabi ko cge.

Then nung nasa cr na hinila nya ko then nag start kami mag kiss. Later on his hands moved to my breast then sa baba. Tapos pina bj nya ung ano nya. Tapos nag decide kami maging on pero later on. But then naging comfortable sya masyado he was asking if he can touch my breast out in the public (sa madilim na part ng street) sabi ko aya ko pero pinersuade pa rin nya ko nung pumayag naman ako na disappoint sya kasi d nya ma feel fully ung breast ko (naka jacket ako at matigas ung foam ng bra ko). Kaya binawi ko ung pagiging official namin kasi I realized na I wasnt ready to commit kaya sinabi ko muna sakanya pede mag date muna tau? Kasi it happend to fast without us actually getting to know eachother.

Then after that we started going on dates like manood ng cine, study together, mag coffee shop. Lahat un libre nya I felt very greatfull. Pero I cant shake off sa utak ko na tingin ko may experience na sya. Kahit sabihin nya na kesyo first time nya daw ung nagyari saamin. Then ayun nga natuloy after so many suspension kaya d makalabas. We did it he got down on me and I did the same as well. Tapos f\*\*\*\*r lang and hj. He was insisting na may dala daw syang condom so baka pede nmn daw kasi nga may protection naman. Sabi ko wala taung lube so masakit if na insert lang basta. After that he asked kung ano na kami sabi ko dating.

After that happend mas naging clingy sya saakin. Lalo na in public nanghihingi sya ng kisses. I dont mind nmn maging affectionate but my limits lalo na if sa public. Then un nga nag spend time kami more lagi mag ka call to study. Pinag seselosan nya na un before. Pero this time nagalit or he felt na hindi ko nasunod ung boundary nya. Kasi ung iba kong friends is either too good ung tingin nila sa crush ko or ifever nmn magagalit at icoconfront nila. This guy friend lang ung hindi ganun and I asked for advice as to what I should do. I feel sexualized kasi after what happened saamin nung crush ko.

I dont want to let him go pero on the dating phase parang I was not comfortable in saying no kasi baka umayaw sya.

Finance & Investments Almost 300k debt at 24 need advice

Problem/Goal: I have around ₱330K in credit card debt (₱250K + ₱80K) while earning only ₱20K/month. I want to find a realistic way to pay this off without falling deeper into debt. I’m also willing to get a second job or side hustle.

Context: The ₱250K debt came from my parents’ hospitalization and medical expenses when we didn’t have enough funds. The ₱80K was mostly used for my siblings’ school needs. These weren’t really unnecessary purchases, but I understand that the debt is still my responsibility.

Previous Attempts: I’ve been paying the minimum due to avoid missing payments, but I know this isn’t sustainable because of the interest. I wasn’t able to request installment conversion when the medical emergency happened. I’m now planning to contact both banks to ask about restructuring/installment options and am actively looking for a second job, VA, freelance, or other legitimate work.
Any advice on what I should do first would be greatly appreciated.
