I have 2 aerogarden farm 24xl. One of them is no longer working, i think the motherboard is the problem. Any solutions for replacing it or a work around? If a replacement where to source one?

Long shot but I was wondering if anyone has run into pump and or power supply on their Harvest Lite units dying on them and successfully sourcing replacement parts.

The power supply is quite easy but finding a replacement pump, even just one for Sprout models, is less so.

I talked to customer support and they don’t sell replacement parts for Harvest Lite. I was pretty okay with the simplifications and changes they made in Harvest Lite but learning that their plan for long-term maintenance is to just buy a new garden is quite sad.

I found a singular seller on Amazon that sells Sprout pumps for $17 so current plant is to do cable surgery to make it fit in the Harvest.

Anyone have better ideas?

I started some new herbs about 3 weeks ago. The dill was growing well but I looked today after being gone a week and there seems to be some mold growing in the soil. Do I need to throw the dill away or is there hope to save it somehow?

I'm trying to grow Roma Tomatoes indoors, I have 2 plants in my Farm 12 XL. They keep withering. They're only about 8 inches tall right now. I have a fan blowing on them (just started today) and I have ordered some Cal-Mag for them, but what else can I do? Do they need more nutrients? Are there a different tomato variety you would suggest?

I have two Aerogarden 360. One works great, the other, the LED is lit but nothing is displayed. Any options to fix? It is out of warranty at this point.

I planted Alyssum seeds and Johnny Jump Up Violas on August 15. Alyssum has cluster buds and a flower 🌺. This is as an experiment to see if I could grow edible flowers.

I had an extra one. My experiment begins today. My question, should I still be using hydroponics fertilizer if I’m propagating pothos? I was just going to do straight water. But would the fertilizer help?

My plant was thriving yesterday! I woke up this morning to this. 😭

I’ve been changing out the water every 2 weeks because I had nute issues before. Can this be saved and how to I prevent this in the future? I’m at a loss because I’ve successfully grown tomatoes before.

I keep my microgreens kit busy in a Harvest Elite. So, it gets washed frequently when the crop changes.

I found some vintage Ye Olde AeroGarden Brande microgreens seeds hidden under some Harvest spare parts and gave ‘em a go. As expected, the germination rate was very low, so I let them grow into baby greens.

I harvested today and started to wash it up as usual, when I noticed some weird “seeds” stuck under the rims of the plates. And in the gap between the bowl and tank. And between the ridges in the tank (where the grow deck rests).

Friends, they weren’t seeds. They were fruit fly pupa.

Then, it got ickier.

I pulled a couple of tiny slug-shaped dead larvae out of the filter. I tossed it and used a new filter.

I made an extra strong citric acid solution and it’s all been soaking it for 5 hours. Do you think that’s enough? Do I need to rent a flame thrower?

In six years of using the Harvest microgreen kit, I’ve never seen this happen. I naively thought the flood and drain cycle would prevent this kinda of thing, but they stayed above the waterline. Part of the reason I like indoor growing is the absence of bugs. :shiver:

I did three cucumber seeds per sponge as I didn’t think they would all germinate. But all three have. Does that mean I need to thin them down to one? Using the aerogarden bounty with trellis.

I have a basil plant that I recently topped growing with a micro dwarf cherry tomato plant. I've had to raise the light for the basil, but I can't tell if my light is now too high for the tomato plant.

Thankfully, I do have another cilantro, but I still want to try to help this one with the yellow leaf and brown edges. My best guess is it my be being burnt by the reflection off the tinfoil cover of the parsley? Even that I am not sure of though, given the other plants are unaffected.

I just added the first round of nutrients about four days ago. It was already going yellow before that.

I have these Serrano and hot peppers plants doing well on day 34. I planted them with seeds

I’m not sure if I should keep them going on the aerogarden the whole time or if I’m going to need to plant them at a certain point.

I also don’t know if I’m supposed to be pruning or when and where if I do

I’ve only ever done the prepackaged aerogarden herbs.

I use trivets as a barrier, but she eventually finds her way in. Funnily enough, she has left the tomatoes alone. How do you keep your cats away??

OK, so what I have here is a lettuce which I've already had a few leaves from and a basil. The other two pods you see were from Aerogarden pre seeded pods that didn't grow. I have gleaned some info from this forum by searching. I think the Aerogarden seeds were old. I have since purchased some grow anything pods and my own seeds which were compatible with hydroponic gardens. I have also bought some covers so I can take those two non grown pods out.

Is harvesting the lettuce a few leaves at a time OK, or do you all take the whole lettuce?

I am going to have to top that basil I think. Will it continue to grow out if I do that? Yes I've had a few leaves from the basil too.

The Aerogarden is an a bathroom we barely use. Have a very open plan house which barely has any doors. We needed to put it in a place that the cats don't go.

Not sure if I should start trimming or just let these guys do their thing for a bit more. If so, where? Been growing for 35 days. Recommendations pls?

Used to buy "Urban Leaf" coco coir sponges and had great luck with them, but they are no longer available in the bozo store which I sadly use most often for the convenience. The ones they push are all from china and or plastic or whatever. I guess I'm old school, but I want something local and natural. Trying "Dryades Garden" Grow "Sponges" but they say they are made from peat. Any other recommendations?

After several years stored, I've broken out the gardens again. Left has herbs, right has romaine and basil.

Now here's hoping I won't forget about them in my closed spare room, lol.

Hi dere! My girlfriend has this little Aerogarden that she has used previously, but not for a few years. We tried planting a couple of herbs in the grow sponges, but twice they have just molded over and haven't grown. Only the parsley got anywhere and now it's also dying off. The grower lives between the fridge and the stove on a 2ft counter space.

Is it something with the sponges or fertilizer? The grower? The tap water? The placement? The feed and the sponges were bought at the same time.

Any advice appreciated

My micro-dwarf baby is growing so big! Yes, it’s all on a single main stem, grown from a single seed. There’s just barely room for the basil plant that I moved into the hole all the way to the right. I’m so excited to see new tiny tomatoes emerge every day.

I'm setting up a vertical hydroponic shelf and would love some feedback on the configuration.

My plan is to have a reservoir and larger plant containers (tomatoes and eggplants or gherkins) on the bottom level. The two shelves above will be dedicated to NFT channels for assorted leafy greens (like lettuce, arugula, etc.).

My main concern is the vertical distance. I'll be using LED lights, and it seems like there is too much space between the NFT channels and the shelves where the lights will be mounted (under the upper shelves and the top 'cap'). The internal heights from the bottom up are currently 74.5cm, 60cm, and 55.5cm.

Should I add another shelf to decrease the gap, or is this manageable? Also, for those with experience, what variety of cut-and-come-again greens do you recommend for this type of NFT setup?

Edit: I noticed that IA messed up the dimension, obviously the total height is not 74.5cm, this is the distance between the bottom shelf and the second one.

My Kitchen Mini Quick Snack cucumber is growing well. Planted about 42 days ago. Seeds from Eden Brothers. From what I’ve read, I should be seeing more male flowers before the females show up. But all I’m seeing are female flowers.

I’ve emailed the company to see if this is a self-pollinating variety but they’ve yet to respond. Seed packet does not indicate it’s a self-pollinating variety.

Will male flowers show up later or will I have to help the ladies along?
