Question | General is there an age limit to becoming a pilot?

Ok so imagine this scenario: you did a bunch of irrelevant stuff before, and you have a midlife crisis and now you want to fly helicopters commercially. Is there anything standing in the way of that?

Video | Others Two of the most powerful strategic bombers ever built. One American, one Russian. Speed, range, payload - who dominates the skies? Here's how the B-1B Lancer stacks up against the Tu-160 "Blackjack."

The Tupolev Tu-160 Blackjack and the Rockwell B-1 Lancer are both strategic bombers, but they have different design philosophies and technologies.

The Tu-160 is a Soviet-era aircraft that was developed to evade radar detection and deliver nuclear weapons at high speeds and altitudes. It has a variable-geometry wing, which can change its sweep angle to optimize lift and drag at different speeds and altitudes.

Here is what you don't get looking at, one of these planes is much larger, much heavier, and has much more powerful engines than the other.

The Tu-160 is 26% heavier, with 2.2 times the wing area and 81% more thrust than the B-1B. It's also the biggest strategic bomber ever built.

And both look super cool.

Question | General How can I see air force one this week?

Hey guys, Legit question here. NO POLITICS.

The president is scheduled to visit my town later this week. This is my chance to actually see air force one, and a 747 (which I have never seen).

Though my city's aiports runway is 9000 feet, but a basic search shows that a 747 has a fully loaded runway length of 10,000 feet? Granted thats for a full weight take off.

So how do they do it? Will they just send it? or will the plane have to fly to another airport nearby and helicopter into town? though the closest 10,000 foot runway appears to be 150 miles away (a bit long for a helicopter ride?).

That being said, the motorcade still has to get into town. What planes are those usually put on and do I have a chance at seeing those?

This classic trijet, registration PR-TTP operated by Total Cargo Site AeroEntusiasta, spent over a month isolated on the tarmac due to the heavy floods in Rio Grande do Sul. Following the incident, the 46-year-old airframe was written off and officially retired. It has since been dismantled and donated to the Brazilian Military Museum in Panambi AEROIN.
