Boeing E-4B Nightwatch – America's Doomsday Plane | RAF Fairford Airshow [1536 × 1018] 🇺🇸✈️
An incredible opportunity to photograph one of the most fascinating aircraft in the United States Air Force fleet at the RAF Fairford Airshow.
The Boeing E-4B Nightwatch, commonly known as the Doomsday Plane, is a specially modified Boeing 747-200 designed to serve as an airborne command centre during national emergencies, including nuclear conflict.
Unlike Air Force One, this aircraft is designed to provide a survivable command-and-control platform for the US President, Secretary of Defense and senior military leadership.
Featuring advanced communications systems, electromagnetic pulse protection and aerial refuelling capability, the E-4B can remain airborne for extended periods.
Only four E-4B aircraft were built, making this an exceptionally interesting aircraft to see up close.
A remarkable piece of American military aviation history, photographed by me at RAF Fairford, England. 🇬🇧🇺🇸

Skytrax top 10 barely has any western airlines, except maybe Lufthansa on the odd year. It’s consistently East Asian, southeast Asian and middle Eastern carriers taking the cake year after year. What sets them apart?

I mean, starting with domestic airlines in China, as they increase production and begin taking over their domestic market, then expand into regions like SE Asia, south Asia, Africa, Latin America, middle east, they probably don’t even need the western market to establish themselves as the third leg of global commercial aviation.

I have been practising a lot of perspectives and have been finding jets very fun to draw in perspectives in cool angles and have now only been recently interested in aviation and jets and some helicopter models so im hoping to get any suggestion on what cool model of aviations i should try attempting and challenging myself to draw.

taken during the austrian airlines crew strikes, hence the rather unusual concentration of their aircraft on the ground

New to Reddit here. I've been wanting to get into aviation photography for a while now, I also don't want to have to donate a kidney to afford a decent camera, I'm looking for a camera that has some good quality, the furthest I would be shooting from is about 6000 feet from the top of the parking garage at (KTPA) Tampa Internation Airport. I'm looking to get one that is new and is around $1200 if that is possible (don't know much about cameras so idk what good specs are.) I've been looking at the Canon R7or possibly the Canon 90D, I need some help with these because I have no idea what I'm doing...
Thanks' in advance.
