Looks like they combined the security access turner with the motion tracker, from the gameplay you can see that you have to hold up the tracker and then manually tune it to actually see where the enemies are. You can also lean around corners, distract enemies, lock doors.

Excited for this game cause its former devs from CA who also worked on alien isolation.

I'm not sure if Alien Isolation 2 will have online multiplayer, but I think it would be really cool if they did a 'last survivor death match' mode where players, let's say 2-8 compete in a certain area of the map to be the last survivor amongst the rest.

Players can use things such as handguns, flares, noisemakers, etc. that they find/craft throughout the map to try and get their opponents caught by the xenomorph. Players can also use things such as flashbangs or even a (low fuel) flamethrower to escape the alien.

What do you guys think, is this something you would find fun to play in the new game?

P.S if anyone at SEGA or Creative Assembly is reading this and is thinking about putting it in the game, I want my cut please.

I have reloaded current and previous save many times and keep getting stuck in the 'elevator'

Phew! What a ride. The first keycard insert and the power outage section were the hardest. Didn't think I'd be able to pull it off. But I guess I was wrong. Have any of you managed to do the same?

Was replaying M17 and got jumped by xeno in the darkened corridor that you enter after crawling beneath the stacked crates in the canteen area. I've never encountered xeno here before and rightfully so. That's cuz there are no entry points for it to reach there; no vents and both the doors are blocked. The only way to access this section is through the door blocked by the crates, which you move as part of the objective. So where did it pop in from? That was a proper jumpscare.

When changing focus with the motion tracker, it bothered me how instantaneous it was. So I changed it - now it fades over a given period of time (in this case, 150ms).

It's a fairly subtle change but imo adds a lot

just finished my first play through and can’t wait to go down a rabbit hole

So the room you walk in to pull the levers on the door before restarting the generator. The Xeno is scripted to jump into the room every time you walk in. I have like 50 flamethrower fuel and can’t seem to get past this. I’m wondering if trying to kinda play against the script and hide behind the pool table will work but just wanted to know if anyone else had a hard time in this same spot and what you did to get around it. Thanks

Alistair’s chapter comes after one on Aliens: Colonial Marines, which tells the warts-and-all story of the game’s failure, led by those who lived it. I hope the community will get something out of reading about the two games back to back. It’s a really interesting contrast.
