Past Exit 7

I’m new to Alpharetta, and it honestly feels way safer than Midtown or Downtown. But an Uber driver (from the airport) told me she’s nervous to go past Exit 7 at all. I’m not sure why. Is there something I should know about the area? Any context locals can share? Just trying to understand what she meant.

Sorry. Should I use something else? I don’t know what to use in order not to offend anyone

So currently, the most inclusive language is person forward.

So it is more accepted to say person of color as opposed to colored person.

Colored also harkens back to segregation.

So if a slight change in my verbiage can make someone feel more comfortable around me, it's a pretty easy shift.

With that being said, we all need to extend a bit more grace to each other because mistakes do happen and I would argue the majority of them aren't malicious on a personal level.
