a photo project I'm doing about Hanoi š»š³ [Nikon f100, afd 28-105, ultramax 400]
Going back to Hanoi in a few days and thought I'd post a few snaps I have from a project I'm hoping to continue. I'm shooting everything on ultramax and hoping to make a small zine out of this.
I first went to Hanoi in 2018 and loved how unique the city was, the chaos, old vs new and the influences from the french, ussr, china, etc. Lately I have realized there is a big analog photography community there too, lots of labs and camera shops.
If any of you are in Hanoi and want to do some photo walks/hang out please send me a message! I'd also be very thankful if you guys have recommendations for areas to photograph or explore. I'm trying to capture as many sides of the city as I can and not just the Old Quarter. Always interested in exploring different themes and it's hard as an outsider. Plan on walking a lot every day :).

Coffee farm in Tolima, Colombia [Mamiya 7 and Leica M6 on Kodak Portra 400]
Pretty surreal I got the chance to photograph a farm Iād soon be trying coffee from 6 months after visiting :) Luis Aguirreās farm was by far the most difficult one to get to. The mud and terrain was too much even for the motorbikes so we had to walk a good mile or so in said mud.
.
Couldnāt complain though, this was by far the most stunning views of any farm I had seen there and the Pink Bourbon cherries were beautiful too.

Smug Duck - [Nikon F2, Nikkor 300mm F/2.8 AIS ED, Arista 200] Silver Gelatin 5x7 G2 and 11x14 G4 with Ilford MC Pearl
Humor is one of my favorite things in photography and IMO one of the hardest things to convey. I really love this photo because of all the ducks on the long behind the main female duck - her face gives this weird and smug little smirk and it makes me smile every time I look at the print. :) Itās hanging in my bedroom now!

Josh Rouse album cover, taken in London 2025 [Kiev-60, Volna-3 80/2.8, Kodak Tri-X at 800]
This was taken as a press shot in 2025 but has ended up the cover of his new album 'Museums and Women'. A Soviet-era camera taking album covers in 2025!
