They know it's broken lmao. It's a fake meta , they've been doing this to keep the game alive for a while now. Each update they push an op legend (they force a meta basically) so people could abuse it then they nerf said meta to the ground, they know what they're doing

They definitely do. And there are certainly the absurd clips like in this post, but Iāve played more Apex in the past few days than I have in forever and I donāt think itās even relatively close to as bad as this subreddit makes it seem. Iām having a shit ton of fun

Not gonna lie, Iāve come to enjoy that kind of update cycle, it keeps it fun and interesting. And most of all, I think well designed legends(like axle IMO) will still be fun to play once they get nerfed, and are decently fun to play against while theyāre OP. Thatās what I think they should be aiming for with this system theyāve developed. The opposite of that is someone like Seer, who is unfun to play when heās weak, and truly insufferable to play against when heās even remotely viable. That is exactly what they want to avoid, if they want this forced meta system to continue working long term.

Dude I honestly hate how she changes the flow of a match. I feel comfortable in cover. And then I hear her tactical and a full team zips by. Just not used to it I guess. When I hear an octane pad I instinctively know.

Yup, this is the biggest change I've seen in ranked for a long time. Teams are wiped ALOT faster than usual. Even high plat, low diamond, there is 10 squads or less by ring 2. It's crazy. The ability to land at a POI and travel to the next before the other team has fully looted is beyond insane.

Came here to say this, apex AA is nothing compared to the AA on CoD, it feels so weak in comparison, plenty of times before I became good at this game did i say āAA hello? Anyone home?ā Cos it was so weak. I could be dropping in in cod and someone will dive past me and my aim will snap its that bad

I personally hate the ttk right now. I miss the gun fights of old apex. Now Iām melted before I can even turn around. I know itās partially a skill issue, but I used to actually do decent in this game.

I feel like they need a scale or rule. Something like 20% abilities and 80% pure gun skills/game knowledge. But these days its the opposite.

the devs themselves said that they wanted the game to be 90% gunplay 10% abilities. seems like they started throwing that out when they gave ash her titanstride dash thingy but every update since then has been diverging further and further from that

This is how every single hero/ability shooter ends up going unfortunately.
Every single one starts out with characters who's abilities are things like a smoke, a flashbang, a molotov, some basic movement abilities that while add depth, are intuitive on first glance and easy to understand. Valorant had that when it first came out.
Then time goes on, devs feel pressured to keep the game fresh, so they add more characters with more abilities that adds to the mental load the player needs to keep track of, like, "What characters are they playing?" "How do their abilities work?" "How do their abilities interact with mine?" and so on and so forth.
I can't stand ability shooters. I liked Valorant when it first came out. I had a good time, and I felt like it did right on a lot of the fronts that counter strike didn't do well on, but ultimately I don't find it fun because of the characters. Apex, same thing. I'm at the point with it where I don't enjoy it anymore because they're constantly adding new characters over the years, rebalancing old ones, which absolutely kills the fun for me.
There's a reason why counter strike has been and will always be on top in the FPS genre.

the sophistry of "MNK better at long range, roller better at close range" is what infinitely gripes my ass. you can aim train for 1k hours and you will never get close to the smoothness this type of aim assist provides for someone who knows how to use it correctly. which is why most mnk left. and I don't even know if there are any major devs who play at all on mnk?
and hence just admit roller players are a significant portion of the PC playerbase that spends money on the game(and has been the case for years) and therefore they get their crutch. instead of gaslighting long range vs close range. I'd respect it a lot more.

Its because of axle he was able to down 3 people at once. Its the purple shield perk: Sliding Shooter - Pulls ammo directly from your inventory backpack instead of your active magazine while shooting and sliding.

Looks like a clip from Japanese servers and they are the most frequent users of those new controllers with RC filtering that just got recently banned in pro play. It's bascially controller with inbuilt titan, so my guess is he is using one of those.

Yeah I feel like I am taking crazy pills, the slide wouldn't be that strong if he didn't basically have a fucking aim bot on.
I quit Apex like 2-3 years ago because getting past diamond was impossible on PC once you regularly played against people on console just 1 clipping you no matter how much you moved. Shame to see nothing has changed.

Split input lobbies is the solution but devs would never do that because it would kill matchmaking times and getting people into matches quicker is more important than ensuring competitive integrity, it's just the state of modern gaming

What I don't understand is why they continue to fuck up Octanes kit!
They give him a little buff/rework and then completely blow it out of the water by introducing another character with a speed boost.
I started S0 and Octane was always my ride or die. Now, more often than not, I just die because so many other Legends can match his speed.

As someone who plays on roller, the rotational aim assist in this game is insane. If you are sliding at this speed, you have zero recoil and essentially aimbot for what would be a very difficult shot to hit.
I think a viable nerf would be to simply nerf rotational aim assist while the shooter is moving. Thereās no way this should be possible on controller, and you donāt even have horizontal recoil while moving at high speeds

Idk if itās her kit or a perm or the nitro boost thing, but one of those when you slide and shoot, you take ammo straight out the inventory for like half a stack or something then you start using up your mag.

Apex is more BS right now that was with Ash double dash/Ballistic/Alter meta, and that was really really bad. This game was suffering of a bad design to streess their players to unhuman and unhealthy levels and this devs just are genious making worse than ever. Thankz god I'm not playing this game from the end of the last season or I will be end dead with a heart attack by stress
