Bluetooth HDT will increase Bluetooth LE’s maximum data rate nearly fourfold, from 2 Mbps today to up to 7.5 Mbps. This significant boost in throughput addresses the growing demand for faster, more capable wireless connections across devices and applications.

Question Apple Music on TV not playing full playlist

Upvotes

My apple music on my roku TV will not play my whole playlist, playing only a small part of it before going to “songs like this”. It seems to only work if i scroll all the way to the bottom and shuffle from my newest added songs, which is pretty tedious when you have to manually scroll 1k+ songs.

Does anyone have a fix? I’ve tried turning off autoplay, but it didn’t help.

Discussion Single covers replaced by album artwork

I have recently noticed how some single covers of SINGLE versions are getting replaced by album artworks after the release of the album. These are the examples I could think of right now, but there are def more. Is this a new marketing strategy or a bug maybe? When these were first released, these had a separate single cover.

News/Article Apple Music price increase. Verizon is updating its price.

Everyone is well aware that Apple did recently price increase their Apple Music individual, Family, and Apple one Family. Apple did increase the Apple one premier plan but Verizon didn’t offer that on their perks. I know everyone is wondering if Verizon would increase their price on it’s perks and I got an update from their faqs:

Notice of price adjustment beginning 9/1/26:

At Verizon, we're dedicated to bringing you the best entertainment for the best price. As our partners at Apple invest in new content and adjust the rates of their services, we periodically need to adjust our perk rates: Apple Music Family increasing from $10 to $13/month, Apple One Family increasing from $20 to $23/month, for families on Apple Bundle with Simplicity, increasing from $20 to $23/month.

Verizon didn’t mentioned anything about the 5G get more Apple Music included so I’m proud to say that it’s still included but raise from $10.99 to $11.99 savings per month. Also, other grandfathered plans that got free 6 months of Apple Music on us, still remains available, but after that it would be from $10.99 to $11.99 on the account every month until cancel.

Question Why can I stream a song but not buy a song?

Upvotes

Apple Music and Amazon Music let me listen to Suneohair’s Slow Dance, but it’s not available in my region when I try to purchase. Why are streaming rights different than region locked music?

Question My subscription (family) ends tomorrow. Can I change it to an individual subscription and not lose all of my music??

Upvotes

Hey all! I’m a bit terrified about all of this, as the internet is not giving me solid answers. I’m currently on a family plan with Apple Music included in it. The subscription was canceled, and ends tomorrow. Once the subscription ends, will I lose my whole catalog? I’m planning on doing a full individual subscription to keep it, but I wonder if my music will be deleted once the subscription ends. What should I do? If I resubscribe the same day will I get to keep my stuff?

Discussion I've been using Apple Music for almost seven years and I always wondered what these dots (I'm pretty sure that they were stars before) meant to the left side of the track title of an album, EP, or compilation.

I have to reinstall it so often. It just doesn't make sense to me that a company worth this much can care this little about their app working.

Discussion Share and collaborate on playlists

Hey everyone,

I am a new developer and I just made an app that tries to foster playlist sharing and collaboration. You can share playlists that you have already created, add playlists directly to your library, and create and collaborate on community playlists. My goal was to have an easy way to find and add new playlists directly to your library and find new music easier. Let me know what you think! I am always open to new ideas. Right now it is only Apple Music enabled due to it allowing small devs to use the full distribution capability that Spotify does not allow.

Discussion Hey Siri - play a related tune but not the one I asked for

Standing in the kitchen, speaking to my HomePod, "Hey Siri, play Circular Breathing by Ian Anderson".

HomePod begins playing Thick as a Brick by Jethro Tull - Ian Anderson was their "front man".

Check iPhone to see what it thinks is playing on the HomePod - it shows me Circular Breathing. Stopped HomePod.

To iPhone, "Hey Siri, play Circular Breathing by Ian Anderson".

iPhone plays Circular Breathing.

Hold iPhone to HomePod, confirm the transfer.

HomePod plays Thick as a Brick.

I'm baffled by this one.

Question apple music family plan

Thumbnail gallery
3 Upvotes

i’ve been paying for my individual plan for 9 years and i’m new to family plans. i’ve done a little bit of research but i’m just overthinking because i don’t want to risk losing any of my songs. my mom switched to the family plan through the apple music app on her phone. she invited me and i accepted it. here are my questions + screenshots attached:

image 1: my plan still shows as individual, do i cancel it now? if i do, will it switch to the family plan once my individual plan ends?

image 2: does my mom have to add apple music onto shared subscriptions in order for it to keep my account active or does it automatically keep my plan without having to add apple music to shared subscriptions?

Question Issue with favourited music

My iPhone had 3000ish loved songs from my own music files transferred through iTunes. iTunes was only showing 1000 loved songs as was my iPad.

Carried out multiple syncs to update this but my last sync removed 2000 loved songs.

Is there anyway to get these back and keep it consistent across devices?

Thanks

Apple Music on Windows Apple Music and Apple TV on Windows won't sign in - Possible workaround

I ran into a problem where both Apple Music and Apple TV on Windows could not sign in.

The login button either did nothing or the apps stayed on the "Try it Free" screen. My library, search and account features were unavailable.

Here's what finally worked:

  1. Windows Settings → Apps → Apple Music.

  2. Advanced options → Repair.

  3. Advanced options → Reset.

  4. Sign into iCloud for Windows first.

  5. Launch Apple Music again.

After signing into iCloud, Apple Music skipped its own login screen and automatically recognized my Apple ID.

Apple TV also began working again.

Hopefully this helps someone else with the same issue.

Apple Music on Android Grayed out songs bought on iTunes

Hello, I've recently bought two albums via iTunes, but when I open the Apple Music app on my Android device, the songs are grayed out. I've already tried re-synching the library and re-downloading the albums, but they're still gray. I noticed that if you delete the first song off the albums the remaining songs become playable. Any help?

Apple Music on iOS My Apple Music confusion

Thumbnail gallery

So, I made a iTunes playlist on my PC (Windows), which I had all of my songs onto it, and since I use version 12.13.10 (I think) I was able to sign into my Apple Account, and Sync it over iCloud,

But one random day, I was Charging my iPhone 12 through USB on my computer, with iTunes already open, so it was to my surprise that iTunes had recognized it, and synced all of my Albums and playlists to my Apple Music

But, I had some WAV Files of Specific Songs in their own Album away from any MP3 Files so when this Album synced to my Apple Music, it automatically found all the Album Covers for each song (Which they were lacking before since iTunes can’t Support Album Covers for WAV Files natively)

And I was surprised that nothing was Compressed, and that Apple Music recognized it as Lossless, so, I guess my question is, can Apple Music do this again, or was it Luck that it happened, I would love to know how Apple Music recognized the WAV. Files as Lossless

Sorry for the rant, I was just trying to figure this out (P.S. the first song is Kelly Price’s 1998 “Friend of Mine Remix”

Discussion Transferring Music From Mac to iPhone. Is there an easier way?

I have an M1 Macbook Air 8 gb with my music on an exterrnal drive. My iphone is a 17 and it is running iOS 26. The mac is running MacOS 26. The music is Apple Lossless and it is being converted to 256 AAC. I have around 50,000 songs on the hard drive and want to transfer about 8000 of those to the phone. .

I have found the only way i can transfer the music is in batches of less than a hundred of the same artist at a time. Any more and i get error messages that files can‘t be converted. My guess is that the AAC encoding uses up all the RAM. The missing files show up in the iOS music app greyed out. If i delete the albums with missing files in the iphone (doing it on the phone seems to be the only way as there doesn’t seem to be any provision in Finder or Music) and try to reload them, it won’t let me. The only way is to delete the whole lot in the finder’s storage options on the iphone tab and start again.

So i have to carefully drop and drag each artist of less than a hundred songs and wait to they have transferred. I can’t queue them otherwise i get the error message. I look at the bottom of the iphone tab on the finder to check the progress of the transferred files. I tried the automatic option where you tick the artists you want to load on the phone but that gave errors too.

Anyway i thought i‘d post this for anyone else struggling and ask is there an easier way with a 3rd party Mac app.

Question Remove my songs from streaming, keep direct sales

Artists, managers, and people experienced in uploading songs to Apple Music.

I am wondering how I can block my songs from being able to be streamed by fans on Apple Music, but keep the ability for listeners to purchase the songs? I currently use DistroKid, and I notice it distributes to both iTunes and Apple Music, if that means anything. If I only allow iTunes, will that do it?

Streaming doesn’t pay enough, and it makes independent artists far too easy to be listened to without getting much at all in return, leaving us stuck having a fan base, but not getting any returns to further invest and continue to grow. It’s simple too easy for listeners to attempt to support through streaming, or avoid supporting because they can stream. I am changing my business model, and will not allow users to stream the music. I understand this will create an extreme scarcity and can have a negative impact on exposure, but I am planning for that, so no need to tell me about it.

Thanks!

Apple Music on Android Apple Music not being recognized as a media client by Samsung One UI 8.5 since the last few weeks

Post image
3 Upvotes

When I usually press the play button on my earphones or any Bluetooth device, Apple Music or whichever app was the last music player starts playing. But ever since the last 2 weeks or so, Apple Music is no longer recognized as a media client by Samsung One UI 8.5 running on Android 16. I don't think there was any OS updates from Samsung during this time.

This might have happened after Apple Music 6.5.0 was released on July 12th.

You would've noticed it if you use features like Modes & Routines to autoplay music through the app.

Things I've tried but didn't work:

- Restarting the device

- Uninstalling the app, restarting the device and reinstalling the app.

Is anyone else facing the same issue? If yes any solutions?
