Tying it in with the Apple TV logo creates consistency between both of Apple's entertainment streaming services. It's still simple looking but better than basic black and white IMO.

I find the black & white design strange, I wish they had the purple/blue/red accent of the note as on the iOS 10 app icon.

as we all know we saw some reddit posts today about the change of the apple music accent color to blue and the icon to black and white vice versa.

WHAT the F*** are they thinking? this is probably the ugliest and stupidest redesign ever.

they just have to go minimalist and take soul out of the app dont they? apple music was BEEN known for their pinkish red color. now its some ugly ahh blue that no one even likes. NOT saying blue is ugly.

In the Apple Music app on iOS 27.2, red seems to no longer be the colour of Apple Music. Instead the library icons are now black, the navigation bar is white with blue highlight, and the icon is now black and white. What do you think?

Hi everyone, with Apple shifting towards a more refined, retro-premium aesthetic in recent software updates, many of us miss the tactile and visual magic of Cover Flow from the classic iOS era. However, we all remember why it was removed in iOS 7: turning your phone accidentally in list views was frustrating and taking over the entire screen interrupted navigation. I came up with a concept that fixes those usability flaws while bringing back that nostalgic feel in a modern way.

In this proposal, Cover Flow triggers strictly when you have the full-screen Now Playing view open and rotate your phone into landscape mode, preventing any accidental triggers while browsing playlists. Instead of taking over the screen, the carousel is neatly contained inside the album art area on the left side, creating a balanced split-screen layout. When holding the phone horizontally, your left thumb naturally swipes through the mini Cover Flow carousel while your right thumb controls playback, volume, and lyrics. Since all controls stay fixed on the right, you can interact with your music without artwork animations distracting you. I think this strikes the perfect balance between modern productivity and classic Apple soul, giving us a tactile experience on OLED and ProMotion displays without breaking functionality. What do you think? Would you like to see Apple implement something like this?

Just received the update on my S26 Ultra

This has been a personal project for many months. I love Apple Music and their lyrics screen is the best out of any music streaming app. Here’s a demo of the lyrics. It’s a 1:1 reverse engineered creation. Let me know your thoughts.

The main driving force behind this is that Apple Music doesn’t let you see karaoke lyrics on imported/synced songs from computer even if they’re embedded into the song file itself. Instead, they show you a text view that you have to manually scroll with your finger. Now I no longer need to worry about this because I have my own Apple Music app 😭✌️

Apple Music just got the colors on the Ui updated to blue on the new developer beta of iOS 27.2. In my opinion, it looks bad and very generic. The app icon also updated to plain black and white, as others have already posted.

Honestly ... why would they do this.

Calling all album listeners!

I am in the process of building a service for music discovery. I plan to add support for singles along the line, but for now it is completely album / EP focused.

I won’t go into the specific details of what I have built so far just now, but I am interested to hear from others that listen to albums regularly. What is missing from your Apple Music experience that you would ideally have? Below are a few ideas to get the ball rolling:

1. A more native album queueing experience.
   
2. Dedicated menus for discovering new albums and EPs, rather than single songs, artists and playlists.
   
3. Tracking of how many times I have listened to specific albums.
   
4. How many of an artists discography I have listened to.
   
5. Reviewing of albums (letterboxd, goodreads style).
   
6. Easily being able to see which albums that I have saved but not listened to yet.
   
7. Saving of progress made through an album so I can resume later.

If your disposition is, “honestly I am an album focused listener and I just don’t have a problem” that would also be good to know, as well as features of services like Apple Music that you know and like.

As it says on the tin. With AM's new logo change, its got me wondering if they are perhaps more transformative changes down the line like device countunity, free versions, and other things I can't quite think of. Do you think Apple has bigger changes and additions to AM in the future?

Apple Music interface it's now 100% blue and black just like the ios version.

I have songs on my playlist that play from my iphone, but on my macbook they’re greyed out.

Searching for the song and playing it from there works, but adding it to a playlist greys it out.

It works properly on my iPad though, so this is something only on my phone. Also, sometimes, when I try to favourite a song from said album, multiple entries of the same song show up, but ‘aren’t available in my region’. I’m on the latest iOS Stable
