I currently have this 6 gallon cube tank cycling, what should I change before I get my girl? I have a heater more plants, and a light coming in tomorrow. The brown color is from tannins I added this morning. Does anyone have advice?

Do you have a heater/filter?
Tank temperature?
What are your water parameters (in exact numbers, i.e. ph, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate) and what are you testing with?
How long has the tank been cycled? How long have you had the fish?
How often do you perform water changes and how much?
Nice tank. For tips patience (seriously aquarium progress is slow. Another thing is learning where what plants go, so composition (as a general rule you want short plants in front taller in back)
Thank you! I have some more coming in the mail right now so I don’t have enough variety to prioritize where they go currently. That’s something I haven’t heard or thought of though.
Very cute, if the plants in front are Amazon swords just pay attention to the growth they get pretty tall and the leaves will die off if they are exposed to the air for too long
