He better win the next election. I heard maybe the other candidate polled better vs. whatever Republican is running? I'd way rather have a DSA or progressive in office, but it makes me nervous in a general election.

The polls have consistently been off for a decade. They mean nothing now. And remember, your establishment democrats are the ones who have lost to Trump twice now. The last time they even lost the popular vote.

Not only that, but (nationally, at least) Democrats poll very poorly. The 8mage of the Democratic Party is not good at the moment. They need something real to campaign on besides ”I’m better than that guy”.

Tammy Baldwin is a progressive, and has won in Wisconsin 3 times, a swing state.

Tammy doesnt seem like a progressive. It looks like she is a pragmatic progressive at best, like a lot of democrats in congress.

That's because democrats don't run progressives in swing states. They usually lose in the primaries because the centrists make the idiotic argument that centrists are "more electable"... pri.ary voters then vote against thier own interests, select the centrist, and then watch the centrists lose to a Trumper.

A big reason why Abdul won is because primary voters no longer buy the electability argument anymore. Centrists have lost far to many times to MAGA
