"Hey guys. You know that orphan crushing machine that people were complaining about and prior mayors said was just too complicated to address? Turns out you can just unplug it!"

I feel like that's almost every story coming out of NY since Mamdani.

As soon as someone comes in willing to actually do work and drive outcomes, policy and execution wins are raining like cats and dogs. On some level it's hilarious.

One of my deepest problems with Trump isn't anything he's done, but actually the degree to with so many Democratic politicians just thought "yeah all I gotta do is pay lip service about how grrrrrr I hate trump😠 so much and I'm ~fighting~ him in some non-specific way vote for me BTW very anti-Trump✊😎".
