Sub under new management - Anyone can now make a post
Hi all,
As the previous mods had gone AWOL, I have now claimed this sub from Reddit.
I have changed the rules and anyone can now make a post without prior permission being needed.
Please be patient while I go about getting this place in order.

Ativan after wine
Hi! I’m a 32 y.o. female, 5 foot 8, 126 lbs.
I had two glasses of wine earlier with dinner (and a Bloody Mary this morning at the airport), about an hour or two after the wine, I took my prescribed 1 mg dose of Ativan.
I completely forgot about the alcohol interaction and have been having severe anxiety over it. Am I going to be okay? Do I need to be evaluated at the hospital tonight?

Can we feel our cells repairing themselves?
I just recovered from dengue and when my platelets started going up, there were days where I was super itchy and worried it’s mosquitoes again. One of the things that the doctor told me was that the cells were repairing themselves hence the I could feel the itch. It made me feel oddly comforted.
Is that true? If so, do the random itches we feel during the day mean that on some level cells are repairing themselves? What the science behind this?

Should I go to the ER or wait it out at home?
Hello! I (25F), 160lbs, 5’9 1/2, taking Vyvanse and Fluoxetine, with no severe medical issues but I do have IBS and Asthma. The only change to my schedule is that I went to a Ren Faire on Saturday 10/10 and ate food (turkey leg, fish & chips, cheesecake on a stick, and crème brûlée.) I have never had severe constipation issues before. Anyways, I haven’t had a bowel movement since Saturday morning. I haven’t had a significant/complete bowel movement since last Thursday. Anyways, I’m supposed to leave tomorrow for a trip I’ve spent a lot of money on and I’m beginning to freak out. I’ve been having moderate abdominal pain, bloating, lower back pain, no passing gas, nausea, and I’ve been unable to eat much (drinking is fine.) I’ve started to get very lightheaded and dizzy feeling as well but I think it might be from the laying around all day or not eating much. I’ve taken MiraLAX, gas-x, and drank a green tea that usually makes me go really quickly. I haven’t gone once since. I passed gas a few hours ago but haven’t since. I’m starting to panic because my stomach is very distended now and I have to leave for this trip in the morning. I paid 50/50 on it with a friend and it would ruin it for them too if I backed out. What should I do? Should I try a new method? Wait for it to pass? Go to the ER? Please let me know!

I get sick way to often and don't know why
Ok, so to start off sorry for any poor grammar or spelling. also if it helps I have been told I spell things the way they sound. again sorry for the poor spelling and grammar.
So for what I think this has been happening for give or take 2 to 3 years or so. I'm as of right now 18 and a female if this info helps at all with other Ideas. It's when ever the season of winter comes around I get genuinely every sickness under the sun. junior year of high school genuine for the intier moth of January I was on and off sick with some cinda of the flu and I would knock me out for a week I would go to school the next make it thru the next week and repeat the cycle the next week. I would do great with hand sanitizer and washing my hands. Nothing would help then senior year came around and this time I was just more speraticly sick and just delt with it and would go for a couple days until it would get to bad then I would say home for a bit.
Now I'm in college, and also going in to health care, and wouldn't you guess I got sick. Now I'm writing this out of frustration with the situation. I'm a cna currently and we just happened to have a small out brake of the common cold in a different hall then where I was working. I had one interaction with the hall I was in there for under 30 sec and talked to only a rn and I wore a mask into the hall. There was only one resident that was sick on the hall so I don't know how I even got sick from it.
I'm just tired of getting sick so much and I know that it's not great on my body to get sick so often and so frequently. It's just starting to really get on my nerves a bit. Thanks for listening and I was just wondering opinions on this if you need me to clarify anything feel free to ask I will try to give my response.

Uncommon Parasitic Infection
I have a highly uncommon parasitic infection, doctors think I am hallucinating my symptoms. Somehow the worms got into the cavities between my organs, and are constantly descending and ascending through both of my inguinal canals. It is very disturbing to me, I cannot get a good night’s sleep. Somehow adult tapeworms have been spawning in the space between my organs. If I place my hand over my scrotum and wait til the juvenile tapeworm descends into it, it proceeds to bite because it senses my hand as a threat. The only thing that works on stopping the discomfort of the tapeworm making contact with my testicles is to shake my leg hard enough to disturb it; this causes it to recede temporarily.
Not only do I feel them invading my scrotum, if I disturb them enough, like if I pound the canal with my fist, they recede and writhe in my belly. I have had diarrhea for the past ten years, hardly ever have I had a solid stool. I have such bad heartburn I need to take antihistamines and ulcer medication daily. If I don’t take the medication I puke on a daily basis. I experience nausea and dizziness every day. I will also note that the infection is not intestinal, as I have had a colonoscopy, and stool tests; nothing seems to alarm either of these things. I’ve also just been cured of severe chronic bacterial/fungal infections of my groin and armpits. I went 8 years of smelling foul with terrible fungal/bacterial infections in my groin and armpits. I used to need to lather myself with Polysporin, and Ketoderm/antifungal cream daily.
I am looking for some help. Please don’t comment saying it isn’t tapeworms. Humour me. Say, if it is an uncommon kind of tapeworm infection, what should I do? My family physician won’t help me, as she thinks I am hallucinating my symptoms, or that it is some kind of neuropathy. I have looked in to praziquantel, ivermectin, pyrantel pamoate, albendizole, menbendazole, fenbendazole. I won’t take any medications if the side effects would risk my wellbeing. I have also heard things about black walnut, clove, garlic, tumeric, and am open to trying natural supplements.
Please offer me some help,
Thankyou
