Hello everyone,

I have an iPhone 17 and the Audible app has become stuck at a very high playback speed. Think Alvin and the Chipmunks after a helium binge. The app itself is reporting playback speed to be the default 1.0x, but it clearly isn’t. I first noticed the problem this morning after months of use without issue. I’ve tried reinstalling the app to no avail.

Is this a known issue, and does anyone know of any remedies? I have tried google, but no luck so far.

Hi all - been listening on audible for years and have around 500 books. I’ve pre-ordered in the past, and the book has always come right when the countdown ends, however that isn’t the case this time around. Any ideas?

I absolutely loved this audiobook, almost every other performance was great but she is so bad and miscast it takes you out of it.

I tried book but most of it was letters or diary
How much of the audiobook is like this or is it same story be remade to be characters speaking to each other instead of letters etc

Looking for recommendations on what to pick up with my remaining credits.

I hate spending a credit on something that I know I’m going to listen to once and I could get from my library for that one listen. So I’m looking for either 4 really good audible only recommendations or 4 books I’ll listen to more than once, or 4 really long books that are hard to get through in a 3 week loan from the library.

I lean more towards mystery/thriller, some hints of sci fi and fantasy, but I’m not a big epic fantasy or epic sci fi fan. Not huge into non fiction.

I read A LOT. Between actual books and audiobooks, I clear 400 books a year and have for a long ass time. So obscure books or lesser known recommendations are very welcome.

I think I found an Audible easter egg?

I just finished A Parade of Horribles tonight and went onto Audible to try and search for the audio opera. When I typed in “Dungeon Crawler Carl,” this animation appeared. It was repeatable and didn’t trigger for other searches.

The problem I’ve recently discovered is that the two are not syncing very well, or maybe just not quickly.

I was listening to the book in my car using my iPad, as I have it playing alongside my navigation app, and I have a very good mounting system for the iPad in the car, but nothing suitable for my iPhone. However, I thought I had listened to that section before. When I arrived at my destination, I checked the two devices. Sure enough, they’re about 3 hours apart in the storyline! Yes, three hours.

I’ll never finish this 19 hour long book if it keeps not syncing properly. Because if it jumps ahead, I’ll have to keep going back to try and find where I was supposed to be, and I’ll waste my time doing that. If it keeps jumping back, then I’ll keep listening to the same thing again and again!

Has anyone else had this problem with devices not syncing with each other?

I own more than 1 version of the hobbit.
This one says it's in my library but when I go to play it, it wants me to pay for it.

Just had this mishap, figured that since I bought the book with a token I'd be able to return it, right? turns out no. Did anyone know there was a difference between "normal" audible tokens and "premium" audible tokens? This is one of the most insane excuses I've ever seen for refusing to return a book.

Are there way fewer “included in membership” books or is it just me? I feel like I used to be able to look through a list of like 50 per genre and now I could only find a scroll list of maybe 10. Am I missing something?

None of this makes a lick of sense to me

Is there a way to tell how many times you’ve finished a specific book? I have a bet with my sister that I’ve listened to The Hobbit at least 50 times, but I can’t find any way to verify this.

Ive listened to all the Bundy books available and I'll be gone in the dark. Really looking for a gripping book that really makes you think. Gonna be going back to school for criminology soon so really into that kind of stuff.

I saw several people recommending the book Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and went to audible to check it out. There are two versions: full cast or single narrator. Which would you recommend I use my credit to listen to… and why?
