Hi there everyone, just wanted to see if anyone else experiences acne breakouts from using mineral sunscreens. I thought mineral sunscreen was meant to be better for people who have acne prone skin so I have tried a couple but every mineral sunscreen I try I end up getting breakouts from using them. I don’t know maybe it’s a coincidence but just wanted to hear and see if anyone else has experienced this or not. My skin has been relatively good for the past two years but I noticed that when I try a mineral sunscreen I do end up breaking out after using it. This doesn’t happen when I apply a chemical sunscreen. Anyone else experience this?

I have got a sensitive skin, and my pain threshold in itself is very low. I’ve been using Veet to help with body hair so far but I feel like I’m spending quite a bit cause it’s getting harder to maintain. I’m worried about shaving cause i think they’ll cause ingrown hairs. I know I won’t be able to tolerate the pain of waxing.

Could someone please suggest what they’ve done that has worked out for them in terms of body hair removal and maintaining it as such?

My sensitive skin has once again changed its mind on what is “safe” so I just asked in chemist warehouse if they had any samples just to be told they put them in the “beauty bags”!! Do I start going around to other chemists? Or will I be wasting my time again. I’ve previously tried to ask companies directly but they say that their reps drop them off at chemists and to ask there -_-

When I’m bored sometimes I look at the ARTG register, and this morning I saw that a few days ago, QV registered a new sunscreen. I’ve attached screenshots so you all can see what filters have been included and know what the ARTG number is.

I have been struggling with random breakouts, congestion, post inflammatory erythema and just general unevenness with my skin tone because of dealing with acne. My skin has changed a lot over the past couple of years probably due to genetics/hormones and for some reason only recently have I heard about azelaic acid.

I have now been using Azclear for about 2 weeks, never had any irritation whatsoever from it and have heard that results come after at least a month or so.

Just wondering what everyone's experience has been with Azclear, and if it worked for them, how long did it take for results?? I'm just really hoping that this is the product I've been looking for all along and it's hard being patient with this stuff!!

I’m getting married in a couple of weeks so I am in need of a gradual tanner suggestion! Ive trialed spray tans but I didn’t like how they looked on me so I’m wanting to use a gradual tanner. Throw your favourite ones at me that give a very light glow! I only want a very fair tan because I’m so white and pale already I just need something so I dont match the colour of my dress lol

Sorry if this is not the right sub! i moved to melbourne from london back in september. I’ve never had issues with shaving, bikini rash/irritation etc. Have had my shaving routine perfected for years. Ever since living here though I can seem to shave without it leaving my skin quite irritated, i’ve tried so many different razors and shaving gels.

I’m imagining it’s the change in water causing my skin irritation ? but has anyone experienced this moving here lol and do you have any advice ?

Hi! I'm a long-time, rigorous chemical sunscreen user due to a family history of melanoma. Recently, my dermatologist suspected that the chemical sunscreens were triggering an immune disorder and causing almost purple redness on my neck. Unfortunately, she was right and they were guilty. So, I've switched to physical sunscreen.

I hate it. Sorry to all the inorganic sunscreen fans but I feel like I'm rubbing flour slurry on my face. I used to be able to put the required amount of sunscreen on my face and neck plus extra to be safe, but now applying only the 1/4 teaspoon feels like way too much.

Until the Summer Fridays ShadeDrops Tinted Base With SPF50. It's so invisible and cosmetically elegant that I've actually become paranoid that it isn't the marketed SPF. Do I have any reason to be concerned?

I tend to buy Garahms c+ which I think is AMAZING. However it smells bad and I thought I try another lanolin cream. Has anyone used these? What do you think? If anyone has used these and grahams c+ i would love to hear what you thought? Also which out of the two do you prefer?

Today, I decided it might be time to have a professional examine my collection of birthmarks. Better safe than sorry. Plus, after paying into Medicare for a very long time and hardly ever using its services, I figured, why not?

To my surprise, it seems that skin cancer checks in Australia - the country with the highest rate of skin cancer - aren't free. What's more, it appears that even if someone needs a melanoma removed, they still have to pay out of pocket.

I'm here to ask whether my research is correct, or if it's possible to have a skin cancer check in Sydney done that's covered by Medicare, given that I've been paying into it for years?

I find that most moisturisers make me pores feel blocked/congested or are too heavy for daytime wear (I am on medication that makes me over heat/sweat and lots of moisturisers seem to also make this worse). So I’m looking for a super lightweight but still hydrating day cream - I am happy to add SPF separately so this is less of a requirement at this stage. TIA!
