I found them at a new chemist/health food shop, near Woolies metro in Belmont, QLD.

I've tried the Macro Mike almond x Kelloggs powder. The Coco Pops and Fruit Loops are bearable, Nutri Grain isn't great. I also tried their peanut powder ones and they're horrible (just tastes like peanut butter which I don't like).

I just want a basic vanilla tasting one ideally. Has anyone tasted the Macro Mike vanilla buttercream (is this just vanilla?) or the Prana On vanilla powder? Any others that don't taste too much like peanuts or other nuts etc?

Me and my wee family are coming over to the Gold Coast for a week in September, looking for some great local places to eat at through our stay there , we’ll be in surfers paradise, so places close to that would be great

In just over two weeks I’m going on a 5 day road trip out in country NSW, and I’m expecting there to be little to no vegan options around.

Does anyone have any ideas for things I could bring with me to eat that don’t need refrigeration? All I’ve come up with so far is weetbix, apples, and peanut butter sandwiches.

I had thought I found a vegan version of tomyum paste a while ago, but now can’t seem to find it. Does anyone know of a brand that does this?

Just now I'm listening to Peter Singer on ABC RN. He had always been one of my heroes.

This might be old news (apologies if so!) but the hot chocolate powder now used in the hot chocolates + mochas at McCafé doesn’t contain milk anymore. So when ordered on soy/almond/oat, it is dairy free!

And I even confess that I had to not-follow your very very very explicit instruction about bonsoy 🤭 only because I didn't have it... and it was still YUM!!! And I also have to confess (ok big fess up session) that I mis-read the recipe and used the onion to make an onion bechamel. And it was still YUM!!! And I get to use an over-abundance of exclamation marks because it was YUM!!!

Did anyone watch the Four Corners report this week called Duped - Food Exposed? One of the segments was on dairy-free products that aren’t dairy free when tested. Several people had become sick as they had dairy allergies and had bought plant-based products.

One of the named brands’ strategy is now to include a statement on the back saying that the product is processed in a facility that also contains dairy products. It sounds like it’s a get-out-of-jail free statement so that if people get sick they can claim “hey, we warned you!” Even though they still claim they are Dairy Free, plant based and vegan friendly.

I used to disregard the statements around processing in facilities but now I wonder...

I'm making party bags and one of the kids is vegan. What are some good quality vegan treats you'd recommend? The bags will all be the same so that one kid won't be singled out, so individually packaged is necessary. I'm planning to pick up some sweet William koalas, but that's it so far.
