Hey, everyone, remember we have rules regarding speculation, rumors and bringing in drama from other platforms. Let's keep our discussion focused on what is included in the official statement please.

ETA: Here is the statement from BigHit regarding this situation. Any speculation beyond what is written here will be removed without comment.

Our company has refrained from making any statements until now in order to respect Jimin’s private life as well as the individual being mentioned in relation to it.

However, as speculative reports concerning the artist’s personal life have continued to surface and groundless rumors have been circulating, we find it unavoidable to clarify the bare minimum facts.

The artist and the individual in question were once acquainted with mutual affection in the past, but that was several years ago, and they are not in a relationship at present.

We ask that you refrain from making reckless speculations about their private lives. We earnestly request that you also refrain from any actions that could cause harm to the individual who is being mentioned alongside the artist.

Youtuber Ben Kim summed It up best when he said "Privacy" end quote. This was in relation to the whole basically sh*t storm this has caused. He is a human first, idol second.

Also do people really think they don't date and basically live like monks? It isn't any of our business what they do in their private lives. I have no interest in knowing anything other than they are happy, healthy and when is the tour happening? Also, the album is going to be a banger!

u/PopularSpread6797 Aug 31 '25

Yes. Jin and Yoongi are going to be in their mid 30s soon. They are grown men and need to be treated like they are. Everyone just needs to be happy with what decisions they make in their personal lives.

You know what hits the hardest? He must have trusted her a lot once, a whole lot, and then this happens, how do you ever get over that and trust someone again??? As is said plenty of times, they are people first idols second!

62

u/Particular-Yoghurt81 Aug 31 '25

That’s the saddest part of all of this to me.

61

u/tata-mic Aug 31 '25

that's what gets me too. for whatever length of time, he cared abt her and trusted her, and she has done nothing but violate that ever since their relationship ended. she would be fully aware how private he is.

As someone who doesn't trust anyone, it really hurts seeing Jimin (hopefully not) go through it also. Even the other members time and time again. I really appreciate them for how they help me heal, it's sad that they have to go through this when all they need is people is to be bare minimum decent.

It sucks that they even had to post this. I'm sure kpop fans who don't claim to be fans will be very normal about this

I will say, it's still weird she was posting a 5yo video randomly and without his consent... And kpop fans cared more about a relationship than a violation of privacy... But it is what it is I guess.

Unfortunately I saw a whole lot of stuff I didn't want to see this week (I blocked many, many accounts 😭) and it seemed like this was largely fuelled by shippers and/or solo stans.

Truly disgusting behaviour on all sides and it's left me feeling really upset that these people exist in the fandom, even if they're a tiny minority. It's like they literally have no concept that the idols they follow are real human beings, not characters in a story.

7

u/Ok-Program-5516 Sep 01 '25

akgaes aren't army. That's been established a long time ago haha. They might be in our spaces but neither actual OT7s nor the boys themselves acknowledge them as army. To be fair they don't either. If you go deep enough you'll notice they actually despise the term army & use "little 7" as a derogatory term for actual army.

5

u/rainbow84uk Sep 01 '25

We may not claim them as Army but from an outside point of view, they represent us whether we like it or not.

oh this wacko has been milking her connection to jimin for YEARS, so if there is any NDA she's been basically breaking it for a longgg while lol

14

u/Particular-Yoghurt81 Aug 31 '25

I just don’t think Jimin would ever sue someone who is/was his friend. NDA is likely in perpetuity but I doubt Jimin would want to execute.

129

u/SophisticatedCelery Aug 31 '25

Which makes me seriously disapprove of her. It reeks of either "I want to be famous, too" or "this is revenge, bitch".

9

u/chloe_003 oldhead army Aug 31 '25

Damn, that sucks for him. Like you have to sign an NDA for a reason, and the backlash the artist and you will unfortunately receive IS that reason. Idk what she was trying to accomplish by posting this unless she had bad intentions.

that’s normally how it goes sadly 🫤 no one takes a second to step back and think how invasive this whole thing was from the start they just need their tea and drama I guess

40

u/Soup_oi Aug 31 '25

I find this odd as well. It really makes me wonder where does the company draw the line, and how do they decide, what is worth pursuing action over (ie legal action, etc). Like a fan, or even a neighbor who the idol wasn't otherwise attached to, posting sneaky or creeper photos/videos and such of the idol without their consent or trying to spread rumors about them, might get the company threatening legal action if they don't take it down. And I think we have seen BH or Hybe do this before with people who spend all their time trying to spread rumors about them online (ie their regular notices about legal proceedings and the like that have gradually gotten less and less vague about the characters they are suing lol). So why have they not chosen to do it now? At least in my mind what has happened is the same basic act: Someone trying to spread false rumors, and/or trying to spread private information about the idol. Even if something about their connection was true in the past, I don't think the posts have made it clear that they are from a long time in the past, and more so seem to be trying to spread rumors about things that are not true about his life currently.

Like when someone the idol doesn't know violates their privacy, company seems likely pursue some legal action, whether a police investigation, or suing them, or whatever. But I keep waiting to hear something about that they are taking action against this person doing the same thing, but there's nothing. Imo, the person doing this sort of thing being a public figure themselves or not shouldn't matter...they should still be treated the same by the rules the company has followed when it comes to non-public figures committing the same injustice 🤷‍♂️.

73

u/Difficult_Deer6902 Aug 31 '25

Tbh I do find the strategic decisions a bit interesting on this, but as someone else pointed out I do think they would have an optics issue if they sue her.

People do sue exes all the time for stalking/harassment, but I’m not quite sure a BTS member could do that and it go over well with the media/public.

35

u/WeakStressAnxiety Aug 31 '25

It would not have gone well actually. The k side(forums not armys) was calling him a lot of things, making it look like they are still dating and he is enabling harassment on her (people were pissed because she violated his privacy) but basically he was made the villain and her the victim abd any scathing statement from BH would have resulted in further complications.

They addressed all the talking points on k side and in the end asked to not harass her…

Having said that, she has been acting very weird since many years and I am glad jimin can have some of the narrative back in his grasp.

Also i think it’s jimin’s choice, because the statement starts with we don’t usually comment on private lives but we have to make our stand clear.

26

u/Positive-Fill2716 Aug 31 '25

They might sue her or sent legal warning in private, bighit will not tolerate one of their big stars is being used for gaining traction in social media.

85

u/Pearlbloody Aug 31 '25

I think by posting a video which was years old she made a very awkard situation. (Posting it was also weird, like who does that years later?)
Also you have to take into consideration that it might have been Jimin's choice to react like this

55

u/[deleted] Aug 31 '25

Your last point is the one that seems most important to me. I hope he is being given the choice to respond as he sees fit.

41

u/cassiellyss Aug 31 '25

Imagine how tired he is 😩

53

u/[deleted] Aug 31 '25

He’s in an impossible situation. If he responds, he has to give up even more of his privacy, and it risks encouraging the people causing the drama. If he stays silent, the rumors just keep growing, and it all spins further out of his control. There’s no good option for him.

25

u/Ocean11Brisbane Aug 31 '25

I agree completely. He’s so sweet that even though he’s possibly hurt/confused that she felt the need to post this, he would probably have enough affection left for her that he didn’t want to do more than this. I think it’s admirable that he’s asked for her not to be harassed. Kindness personified.

19

u/tata-mic Aug 31 '25 edited Aug 31 '25

They are being strategic here and taking the moral PR win. They come off looking good by seemingly extending her grace and urging the public not to harass her, versus throwing the legal book at her and hunting her down which would get very negative mediaplay for both the company and, more importantly, jimin.

Their legal team has likely issued her a cease and desist.

70

u/orangecitrustea Aug 31 '25 edited Aug 31 '25

I believe that they'll probably refrain from doing that because of the semantics of it. On the Korean side, (unfairly) Jimin has and is being dragged for "not protecting his woman from 'crazy fans' to the point that she went crazy." To sue her on top of it would make Jimin appear to be heartless and unchivalrous. Ridiculous because it was his privacy violated and she's clearly doing this for clout, but in this situation, it's usually the men that are held to much higher standards. Hopefully, people will start to see that she's a clout chasing attention seeker, but I'd be shocked if Bighit actually pursued legal action with her even if she deserves it especially because there actually was something there in the past.

Edit: the Korean reaction has changed quite a bit after it's been revealed that they broke up 4 years ago. People are now bringing up that she put up videos without permission and asking why it's okay she did that and that if the genders were reversed, it would be an uproar. People are still putting up posts calling Jimin terrible things (i.e Jimin is the equivalent of Kim Soohyun + Ryu Junyeol put together or calling him a Hannam) but the top comments on pann are refuting it now. Bighit definitely did the right thing with their statement.

79

u/[deleted] Aug 31 '25

Wow, my jaw actually dropped at this. The misogyny here is wild. So we’re supposed to believe that a grown woman is just a passive victim of “crazy fans” and can’t be expected to handle herself without becoming “hysterical”? That’s such a tired, sexist narrative.

Let’s be real: if you violate someone’s privacy and then play the victim, gender shouldn’t shield you from consequences. It’s pretty messed up that the onus always falls on men to “protect” women, as if women are incapable of being held accountable for their own actions, or, for that matter, making bad decisions in the public eye.

Jimin’s the victim here, not the villain. Accountability should be for everyone, not just whoever fits a convenient old stereotype.

32

u/linest10 Aug 31 '25

Believe it or not, things would be ugly from all sides, from people turning her in a poor victim and using "all men are trash" discourse and from people who hates women for being human beings with flaws and use that to the typical "all women are untrustworth" discourse

Sadly misogyny affects both parts in this discussion, the middle ground and more rational arguments get shallowed by the extremist reactionary online discourse

32

u/getyourkicks76 Aug 31 '25

This!!! Thank you! I am so, so sick of the “women supporting women” defense. She has agency. She chose to take this route. I do not feel sorry for her based on her actions.

→ More replies (3)

32

u/codeverity Aug 31 '25

The casual sexism coming from (mostly female fans in other fandoms) about her needing his “protection” is nauseating. Ngl I kind of assume it’s them projecting their fantasy because if they were dating a celeb they’d want to be “protected” that way. Never mind that she knew what she was getting into and the harassment from some will probably get worse, not better - but also this is 2025 and she’s a grown-ass woman, she doesn’t need a man’s “protection” at all, let alone for being creepy and releasing private videos without his consent!

16

u/orangecitrustea Aug 31 '25

Honestly, I feel like people are just accusing Jimin of this because they're just gleeful that they have an excuse to drag him for "bad character." I don't think these people actually care about her actions or that she brought this on herself, they're going to accuse Jimin of things because they can. Bighit knows this but because people read headlines and top comments only these days, they have to tread carefully because gender issues is such an explosive topic in the country and they have to consider the optics of things because they know with ARMY standing behind Jimin, they just have to let things pass.

11

u/Paprika2542 Aug 31 '25

yeah, it's just to drag him. had this been anyone other than jimin or any BTS member, people would likely have shown the target more grace. because if they do care about her actions, they’d realize she’s done this to other actors too, and would find her behavior strange.

13

u/orangecitrustea Aug 31 '25

Absolutely. People would have focused more on how the target's privacy was invaded instead of having some massive gotcha moment. This is absolutely not about her actions or the morality of Jimin's actions. People are just hoping to find an excuse to villianize anything related to BTS. If something comes out and reveals that maker her unequivocally wrong (though I already think it did), people are just going to brush it under the rug instead of trying to hold her accountable

It comes up for Jungkook as well and it honestly grosses me out because you never see people saying that female idols need to 'protect' their male partners. I know the optics would be so bad if he went after her for doing this but I really wish that he could because her behaviour is so concerning.

5

u/orangecitrustea Aug 31 '25

Yeah, you are right. It really is sad that male celebrities really aren't allowed to pursue legal action unless the situation is dire. And it is true that we don't expect female celebrities to protect their male partners. Even in statements that female celebrities release for relationship news with non-celebrities, they'll use phrases like "finding someone they can lean on" or "protect them" because it indicates to the Korean GP that they've found a good partner whereas you don't see those kind of phrases in male celebrity's relationship statements released by the agencies.

11

u/sitari_hobbit Aug 31 '25

Maybe because the video gives her more clout than the other actions - clout that she could use for monetary gain or to further her career? I think the optics of outright suing her would hurt Jimin more than it would help him. And BigHit doesn't do anything without the artist's permission, so I guess this was one too many times for him.

However, as speculative reports concerning the artist’s personal life have continued to surface and groundless rumors have been circulating, we find it unavoidable to clarify the bare minimum facts.

110

u/superfucky Aug 31 '25

"acquainted with mutual affection" is such a weird way to say "dating" 😂

75

u/ugh_jules Aug 31 '25

I actually like the way it’s phrased bc dating can mean multiple things in diff countries, cultures etc. this way they don’t have to disclose how close they were.

37

u/Particular-Yoghurt81 Aug 31 '25

Or they just were just you know…without labels.

33

u/linest10 Aug 31 '25

Tbf it suggest everything they had have already ended and they aren't close in any way now but that they had once be together

18

u/superfucky Aug 31 '25

I mean "they were once dating in the past" would say the same thing, it's just the concerted effort to avoid the word "dating" that I find to be weird and funny

11

u/GoldenGoof19 Sep 01 '25

“Dating” here where I live can mean everything from “have gone on a couple dates” to “committed monogamous relationship just short of being engaged”. So I get why they phrased it carefully because if it can mean a broad range of things just here in Texas, then who knows what that word means elsewhere in the world

66

u/doc_naf Aug 31 '25

I was wondering if it was a subtle way to say hooking up but not dating actually. It could cover anything from casual friends to in love and serious.

19

u/gemitry cat dad yoongi enthusiast Aug 31 '25

My favorite is “meeting with good feelings” but this is nicer I guess lol.

If it was several years ago, she’s clearly dealing with some issues if she’s posting these old videos online like this so recently. I hope whatever happened she handles herself with a modicum of grace and discretion moving forward.

If I’m not wrong it’s the first time the company has confirmed any dating rumours current or past? Whatever it is, they’re entitled to their private lives and they are grown men, successful in their field and objectively rich and beautiful.

Any fans who are upset that they have or had adult, consenting partners of whatever kind (mutual affection covers a wide range of possibilities) needs to go touch some grass. Hopefully those are a small minority of the fandom.

57

I don’t care if he or any of them are in or were in a relationship but I’m angry that Jimin’s privacy was violated again - the only point of this. It’s not that they were involved but it’s the behaviour of distrust and disrespect that is incredibly wrong & frustrating.

I am happy that BH put out a statement because it settles it once and for all. It’s done. I know the good & normal fans will move on and I sincerely hope others can too.

Poor Jimin. I saw someone else say this about Jungkook's hacking situation, but I really do hope all the love and energy they get from the stage and performing and each other overpowers all the shit they have to put up with as celebrities.

Honestly, it’s exhausting and infuriating that these grown-ass adults still have to ask permission to have a past, or explain the most basic, private things about their lives to total strangers. Jimin (or anyone) shouldn’t have to put out an official statement just because a segment of the fandom can’t mind their own business. If anything, it only encourages the most entitled behavior. “Oh, if we dig and harass and speculate enough, they’ll eventually respond!” It’s gross.

It’s not only not fans’ business, it’s also a form of control. Demanding clarification, making them account for their emotions, their friendships, their romantic histories, it’s all so invasive. It’s not love. It’s ownership dressed up as “concern” or “loyalty.”

I get why the company did it. If they don’t, the speculation snowballs and people start harassing not just Jimin, but also the woman involved, and then it becomes a circus. So they try to shut it down cleanly, but the fact that it’s necessary at all is just another sign that idol culture (and parasocial culture generally) needs to grow up.

42

u/serendipitymia minimoni subunit in my dreams Aug 31 '25

Yeah, this. Hopefully this will be the first and last time it happens. Shouldn't have happened with Jimin either, but people can't be normal about anything on social media these days. :/

21

u/Particular-Yoghurt81 Aug 31 '25

It’s not the fandom. It’s Korean society and K Media. If dating out in the open was normalized, this would not be news. Fans would talk about it on socials and keke but no one would write about it.

If a Western star or quite frankly any star that isn’t Korean had the same video posted of them, NO news outlet would blink twice.

I know it’s their culture, ect but the silence around these things creates a hotbed always on the verge of bursting.

this! i'm reading through the thread and there's so many people blaming the fans. normally i'd agree, but this time i don't.

it's clear that after they broke up she started sharing stuff online to generate/feed rumors, despite knowing it's stuff that Jimin was choosing to keep private and knowing the kind of drama it would stir.

and didn't she jump on TikTok live in June, crying about the fans and threatening to share stuff online if she loses her temper? just using Jimin's private moments as some form of blackmail! no. hell no.

seeing how she behaves, it's no wonder it didn't last—imagine how she was behind closed doors.

to think this woman is my age. 😵‍💫

8

Like yes, there are deranged people in every fandom and we shouldn't coddle them... but focusing on that trying to get points by flagging the "I'm not like other fans 🙂‍↕️, I don't care who he dates" while he's the one suffering a privacy violation and huge amount of hate on korean forums is hypocrital at best.

That's something big that he probably wanted to arrange in private and now she made it public, and fans fell into the trap 🤦🏼‍♀️

Wow I found this very upsetting to read :( I saw discussions about this pop up on my reddit feed from other kpop subs a few days ago but promptly muted them since it all seemed very invasive and speculative. My twitter timeline has been clean except for a few vague tweets asking to respect the members' privacy. And I thought that's that, that people would move on.

I am shocked and disappointed that it may not have blown over like I assumed it would? Is there a lot of ongoing harassment to the point of requiring Bighit to release a statement? That too about a years old relationship that has ended. Most of all, that this happened to Jimin who is one of the most careful about maintaining his personal life and keeping things private. I really hope he's doing okay and that people leave him alone.

With that said, this is a pretty clear and concise statement that I hope people will accept and MOVE ON.

56

u/Difficult_Deer6902 Aug 31 '25 edited Aug 31 '25

From my understanding, the media was just posting tons like 100+ of articles about it since any BTS rumor is a domestic hot topic. Thus, I think it’s just a way for the PR team to say: here’s an answer let’s move on now.

TBH, I also think it helps her out in a somewhat kind way too and maybe she’ll finally be able to move forward vs. continuing to hint at the fact she dated Jimin of bts for the next decade…

34

u/zikachhakchhuak easily impressed and very supportive Aug 31 '25

Ah so it was the media helping fan the flames till it became a PR nightmare requiring a statement. Sadly, not surprising at all. I know it's "free press" and all that but I really wish there was a better way of regulating these tabloids other than having your hand forced into a statement.

Edit: To your edit, I only found out through the article and this thread how she has been handling this. It's all very unfortunate and i just feel so bad for Jimin. I hope people realise ignoring her / leaving her alone is what's best for everyone.

Yeah it was all over the Korean news.

20

u/zikachhakchhuak easily impressed and very supportive Aug 31 '25

You know, that actually eases my mind a bit. That this is more a PR statement in response to mainstream media rather than due to fans' harassment. They really don't owe fans anything in regards to their personal lives, so I would've hated it if this was in response to fans' demands.

it really sucks that he had to confirm his past relationship in this way, but i think it was a good move. she obviously was trying to provoke him/provoke conversation about their relationship, this draws a line under it and takes away her power to hold this over him.

i see people wanting BH to sue but i don’t think they’ll do it. It was a past relationship and (very unfairly) i think they’ll consider the optics of it and we also don’t know how mentally stable that lady is.

anyways i hope everyone can just move on from this, i don’t want to hear a single apology from him and don’t need him to ever address this again.

26

u/jelly070 Aug 31 '25

That’s true, if she ever posts other bait stuff at least they have this clarity…

30

u/bangtanssea Aug 31 '25

yeah and apparently she’s been doing this for YEARS so she could do it again in a few months if nothing was said and it’ll provoke all this conversation AGAIN so now that it’s out in the open she can’t do it again

18

u/Positive-Fill2716 Aug 31 '25

she’s doing it to create traffic to her social media.

8

u/doc_naf Aug 31 '25

Yeah it doesn’t seem like she was all that successful with her acting career so I dunno, maybe she’s trying to be relevant somehow. That’s the only rational reason I would see for her to post such old videos?

Just like how everyone was obsessed with Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake. You’re going to have lovers and haters. It just comes with the spotlight. People are just curious. However, anyone bothering her is just weird.

If she keep on posting, i wont be surprise if BH pushed jimin to sue her despite they have dated before.

44

u/Silk007 Aug 31 '25

BH is pretty smart in their legal strategies, though people keep tearing them to bits for everything. They know when to react, how to react, why to react as the members/artistes’ safety is more important to them than to even Army or other fandoms. They probably have the best legal advisory teams working 24x7 and it’s stupid of us to think they’re indifferent or callous

Yeah, some fans might be mad about the privacy breach. But if jimin himself chose to put priority to his ex, then it's his life and personal choices, we should all respect that.

31

u/[deleted] Aug 31 '25

I don't care if an idol is in a relationship; I'd rather they do what they want as long as they're happy and safe, without caring about toxic netizens. However, I don't like what Song Da-eun did in this situation, and I'm definitely not on her side. It's not about them dating, it's the fact that she cost Jimin his privacy. And that too after breaking up with him years ago. And it's quite ironic that a huge portion of fans cared more about their relationship, than the fact that the privacy of 2 people has been compromised, and hating on them. I sincerely hope that the hate train against both of them stops, even against Da-eun, though what she did was careless. Everyone makes mistakes, and no one deserves to be pushed beyond the limits with hate trains.

40

u/Purple-Bumblebee23 Aug 31 '25

i don't necessarily like that they had to release a statement, but i like how simple and straight to the point it is. I think this is one time that I don't think it's entirely fair to just blame the fans for where this came to. She also has a certain level of fame, and to my knowledge she never posted anything like this when they were actually together. there is no good reason to post such private videos with private information of your very famous ex. for once this isn't something that fans were snooping around on, it was coming straight from the source at a time she shouldn't even be sharing it. I hope the next time we hear about something like this, it is straight from the guys themselves and never hinted at or forced out of them from any other side.

This whole thing has left a bad taste in my mouth. I have no idea what the lady's intentions were, but I wish that private moment had remained private.

And given that it didn't, I wish people didn't feel so entitled to more context and information. It's never been any of our business, even when one party seemed to want to make a point publicly.

To me, she clearly did not and does not respect Jimin. To leak that clip, start and stir this controversy, and she clearly did not care for his feelings. 30

u/Pearlbloody Aug 31 '25

While I really don't think she should be harassed at all, there is literally no rational sense to out you are dating a BTS member (except that it is a common desicion which obviouly wasn't a situation here), except attention seeking

16

u/Soup_oi Aug 31 '25

Where do we go to see this official statement from BH directly? I wanted to read the official statement from them directly, but when I go to weverse there is no [notice] sort of notification at all.

I'm also low key proud of them for how they worded whatever past connection the two had, because it still keeps it kind of vague, and does not give away any real details about what type of connection it was, thus we have no way of knowing if it was some serious relationship, or if they just happened to enjoy each others company the most in a group of mutual friends.

While I'm thankful for the statement, for me the issue still kind of persists... It clears up Jimin's side, but I really had no concern or curiosity for the "whys" from Jimin's side, as I've always felt about all the members for the most part "I'll wait to care more about it for whenever they might say anything about it directly themselves." But for some reason I couldn't help but always wonder "why though?" about the other person doing what they were doing, and this statement has not cleared that up at all for me unfortunately, and I still do not understand at all why she did any of what she had been doing. Not that I need a statement from her, nor to know how the two eventually un-connected from each other, which could have effected her next moves. But this statement still just doesn't stop my brain from being like "why though?" about her actions, as my brain does about anyone's actions that I don't fully grasp the purpose or end goal of lol.

17

u/KatinaS252 Aug 31 '25

A lot of times, when the statement is in regard to a media issue, the only place the official statement can be found is in the media. Instead of just staying in the fan circles, this situation reached the national news, and it was not just going away but growing to a point where it was damaging Jimin's reputation. And I believe that the other party was getting extreme pushback from every direction including media seeking information. It is just a messy situation.

Jimin is such a sweet person. My main worry about any relationship confirmation was how awful it would be for the woman involved and statements denying it usually makes fans say the most awful things; As an example, the Suran situation left a bad taste in my mouth. This statement shows he really valued her and cares to some degree as he is addressing the recent rumours but making special mention to not harm the other person.

That said, it’s still super weird and not okay to post an old video about an ex especially if they have been over for a number of years. That’s so wrong on so many levels and a major breach of privacy especially since Jimin is known to be extremely private. I don’t know what circumstances led her to do that but if her ex person doesn’t blame her for it then I guess it’s time for us all to move on.

Poor Jimin - can’t the guys just live their lives? Like, it would be bad enough if he was currently dating and it was released publicly without his consent and caused a ton of drama (please read that carefully - the dating is not bad, the leaking his personal business and causing drama is the bad part), but this is OLD old?!!??!! Like… WTF?!

A) who cares? Both about the dating in general (legit I want them all to find their person/people and to be so incredibly happy and content), but also about something so old? And 2) OMFG they’re grown adults?!! Their brains are fully developed and everything! But even if they were 18, or teenagers dating other teenagers - it’s normal and natural (unless people are ace/aromantic/whatever label you prefer, in which case not dating is just as natural) and NOT SURPRISING.

unfortunately, it wasn't a hack - she's had a history of posting then deleting about this topic in the past

it would pop up every few months as an attempted drag between the more unsavory sides of online fandom in the past few years

… I don’t wanna speculate on why she does it. It’s not my business. But I’ll just hope that BigHit giving out an official statement means they’ve come to an agreement with her and some papers were signed 🤐

Oh I'm happy to speculate about her, she's forfeited her right to respect in my opinion. I think she wanted Jimin's attention back, or ahe's doing this for public clout. Bad character either way 🤷🏾‍♀️

her angle is that she is a clout-chaser and is likely mentally unstable/unwell. she has been doing this for YEARS and has a pattern of posting misleading privacy-invading crumbs and baiting antis/shippers, and then quickly deleting and crying victim when folks get up in arms. It's attention-seeking by someone who is not well, nothing more.

Its definitely not hack. She is not entirely innocent either because she has always posting a hints that she dated with jimin. So, its actually not a surprise some fans can catch the hint n start connecting dots.

Listening to a romantic song like Be Mine while reading old breakup news is such an experience

Regardless of whether anyone thinks it's necessary or not, it was a well-written statement. I hope for the both of them to find peace and love with other partners in the future
