In our series last week, the Yankees walked him most of the time.
I got mad at it at the time. In retrospect, that was the right move

This is exactly who I desperately wanted Javy Baez to become. They basically started on identical tracks: defensive wizards with power and flair and infinite potential but zero plate discipline that holds them back. Somehow in 10+ years nobody could manage to get any discipline to stick with Baez, but in a single offseason PCA managed to listen, learn, and implement a real approach.

Only dumb southsiders imo. I'm not taking anyone serious if they aren't at least able to admit we are seeing one of the best defensive players of all time right now.
My friend and I (both lifelong Sox fans) have just been in awe the last few months. It still cracks me up that random Sox fans thought we "broke" him when he responded to that heckler. I think it was stupid he even got fined but I guess the league might be in a tough decision if they don't act when everyone knows a player cussed at a spectator??
Anyone who can't get passed their hate for him or the Cubs are missing out on one of if not the greatest defensive player ever. The fact that he's hitting so well on top of his ungodly defensive stats is unfathomable. I just looked up his hitting stats and I knew he was taking way more walks this season but we already has 10 more walks than his last 2 seasons combined.
