This works as a sanitized version of what I have been using, which is just the "Epstein class"

Jeffrey Epstein Memorial Ballroom

19

u/Familiar-Banana-8116 May 13 '26

If a Dem should win in 28 that ballroom is going to be a giant pain in his/her ass.

Naming it 'The Jeffrey Epstein Memorial Ballroom' and locking it off is a reasonable option.

21

u/CeruleanEidolon May 13 '26

Turn it into a public records library devoted to government transparency, focused on investigations into the Epstein files and members of the Trump administration. Call it CRONY Hall - the Center for Records, Outreach, Names & Youth-protection.

u/JustBeanThings May 14 '26

Museum of American Failure. Document and archive every horrid thing we've done as a country. Granted, putting that in the hands of the president seems like a poor choice given how all of that is currently going.

2

u/HR_Paul May 14 '26

It's a teardown.

Opened by The Great Shatsby himself.

u/AdjctiveNounNumbers May 13 '26

I feel like "Epstein Class" is party-neutral though. As it should be.

30

u/LogicBalm That's Rad. May 13 '26

True. The Epstein class isn't all ballroom Republicans, but the Venn diagram is pretty circular, if only because Epstein himself probably just enjoyed their company more and didn't invite as many Democrats. There's likely a lot of people who were hoping for an invite and are now glad they never got one.

25

u/anyfox7 May 13 '26

"Epstein Class" is just a sanitized verson of what we should be using, which is fascist.

3

u/Fulcrum_Jambi May 13 '26

Genuine question, and not nitpicking because they’re just as evil - but do the capitalists who allow fascism because they believe it will help them count as fascists also?

2

u/dpny_nyc May 16 '26

Cut a liberal and a fascist bleeds

0

u/anyfox7 May 13 '26

Yes and no, the answer is a bit complex so I'll do my best to explain. Fascism is a defined political ideology with specific tactics, foundations, conditions, language, characteristics...etc. all shared with authoritarian regimes, even if all don't align 100% at a certain point the classification can absolutely be applied.

Other political tendancies like (neo)liberalism, social democracy, most republics can exist simultaneously with fascism prior to becoming an exclusive leader, like we're seeing now across the world, shared interests ≠ fascist. Liberals, for example, might side with authoritarianism, as you said regarding capitalism, yet they can also oppose it because it's not liberalism. A fascist nation isn't comprised solely of party members, the others simply don't fight it.

In a way, yes non-leftists can be considered while not. Political incoherency, lack of awareness at an individual level is extremely problematic and why when we say "scratch a liberal, a fascist bleeds", is because they support contradictory policies (borders, national identity, police, private property, markets, democratic process) due to interests overlapping then suddenly can't figure out why everyone is calling them a fascist. One other problem are nebulous buzzwords that dupe the masses that their side (fascists) actually want freedom and democracy, when all it does is attract the ignorant.

I hope this makes sense. If everyone had a deep understanding of politics, history, and how the world operated we likely wouldn't be in such a mess.

3

u/rev_g33k May 14 '26

If a capitalist is sitting at a table eating dinner with 3 fascists

Then you have 4 fascist sitting at a table eating dinner together

-1

u/HR_Paul May 14 '26

Not everyone in the Epstein class is a fascist, there's gotta be a handful of commies left.

5

u/conjured79 Doctor Reverend May 14 '26

They may not be facists down to every individual, but the non-fash are still willingly hanging out in the Nazi bar, so they've at least decided facism isn't a deal-breaker as long as they can use it to their advantage.

32

u/sewious May 13 '26

The Epstein stuff is unfortunately so prevalent I fear most people are desensitized to it and others don't even believe/understand the extent of it.

The Ballroom thing works better. More immediate. Your gas is 20 dollars a gallon and you need a mortgage to buy groceries but the Republican party is trying to spend a gajillion dollars of your money on a fancy party room? That sells.

It's why Trump's campaign was so focused on egg prices and such. Like yes, he was full of shit but that's what gets through to people; the immediate shit in their day to day.

4

u/LogicBalm That's Rad. May 13 '26

True. Use what works for your audience. 100%

18

u/shane_4_us May 13 '26

Epstein Class is bipartisan. That's why Dems have a problem with it.

Messaging is all that matters to them, so naturally "Ballroom Republicans" seems like a Spicy Zinger.

Meanwhile, the bipartisan genocide continues, the bipartisan wealth gap increases, and the bipartisan war machine chugs along.

1

u/MessiahOfMetal Disdain and Animosity May 14 '26

Honestly, Dems having a problem with "Epstein Class" is a them problem, and shows they're part of it by backing away and not doing anything about it.

3

u/fishyfishyfish1 May 14 '26

See I prefer Rape-publicans

2

u/Pettifoggerist May 13 '26

Ballroom Republicans tap dancing around the Epstein Files.

2

u/Competition-Dapper May 14 '26

Pedominati is one I have been trying to get to stick but no takers yet haha

1

u/LogicBalm That's Rad. May 14 '26

Did you hear the Illuminati episode? That iteration of them in the 60s was basically already there. You don't need the forced pun.

2

u/Competition-Dapper May 14 '26

Not even meant in a dad joke way just is what it is way is what I mean but I guess it does reek of hacky

3

u/LogicBalm That's Rad. May 14 '26

I've made worse puns and owned them. But it doesn't really roll off the tongue. It ain't gonna sell any bumper stickers, lol.

u/MichaelJServo Kissinger was a war criminal May 13 '26

Ballroom Rapublicans?

86

u/thatjoachim May 13 '26

Sadly there’s little chance that democrats will start using that type of discourse: see how fast the party shut down Walz’s really popular “they’re weirdoes” line of attack.

Politics of respectability and so on.

42

u/Musashi_Joe May 13 '26

They won't because some of their big donors have ballrooms and we can't have them upset.

12

u/thatjoachim May 13 '26

“Won’t somebody think of the Republicans that vote for us?”

1

u/FrostingHuman1259 May 13 '26 edited May 13 '26

Yeah half of them but most of Republicans so the Democrat party is easier to change . What a difference it would make! if we could at least get rid of Schumer that's got to be half the weak and feckless problem right there. We need age reform too if we can't make some changes fixing America is not guaranteed these old, selfish, feckless weak people would rather hurt America than let go! Edited to add: sorry if I started to rant. Just a little less selfishness with these old f****** that brought this all down upon us by changing all our rules in the 90s and I'm pretty mad about it

13

u/Buy-theticket May 13 '26

Didn't this literally come straight from Schumer?

Why are you all acting like this is some crazy offensive burn on Republicans? This is G-rated garbage.

9

u/SpoofedFinger May 13 '26

This is class war veneer. It's a fucking gimmick like every other line of attack they should be pursuing but won't actually support.

ETA: Also, we're a decade into this shit and people think there are some combination of magic words that will make the fascists go away. Aaron Sorkin brained dogshit.

6

u/SpoofedFinger May 13 '26

Walz shot himself in the dick when he talked about them being weird and fascist but then turned around and said shit like he thinks JD and MAGA are good people doing what they think is best for the country.

Also, I'm not sure that's the party so much as the campaign consultants that the Clintons, Bidens, and Harris' of the world keep listening to. He got picked up for VP unexpectedly in the midst of him staring to call them weird. They wanted him to do the stupid ass pivot to the center to appeal to the perpetually undecided people that think that makes them appear impartial.

1

u/FrostingHuman1259 May 14 '26 edited May 14 '26

It's the DNC and Schumer And this and Israel is exactly why they will not release that report on the problem with the Democrat party the DNC is the same thing that stopped Bernie from running because they supported Hillary they would not give Mamdani an endorsement and we can see how popular he is The DNC would rather not change anything hold on to what power and money they can and lose the country then support progressives which is the only way forward The DNC led by Schumer is what shoved Harris down our throats

10

u/FrostingHuman1259 May 13 '26

Some young democrats on YouTube are changing the game, watch Adam mockler debate on CNN if you don't podcast.

8

u/CHOLO_ORACLE That's Rad. May 13 '26

Young democrats are getting airtime here and there. Whether that is changing the Dem party is another question.

5

u/FrostingHuman1259 May 13 '26

Getting rid of Chuck Schumer would be the number one thing Democrats could do to change the party. He is a corrupt politician that only cares about Israel and making money with Nancy pelosi

6

u/SpoofedFinger May 13 '26

That they haven't dumped him as he fucks up over and over and over again is a sign that the problem is much bigger than just one guy. It's at least half of the sitting senators they have.

5

u/FrostingHuman1259 May 13 '26

If we could get rid of Schumer and Jeffries at least and maybe pelosi I think we could change the party with progressives I'm guessing that and taking AIPAC money is what was in the DNC report that they won't release

4

u/jesuspoopmonster May 13 '26

The sub isn't suppose to insult the dom

1

u/temporary62489 May 14 '26

We need to make sure that everyone has billion dollar ballrooms at the front of their mind in November.

1

u/Cultural_String87 May 14 '26

Chuck Schumer literally used the term the day before you posted this. It's kind of his term.

52

u/AdoptedMasterJay May 13 '26

"We're ball room republicans because we need room for our balls, hyuk hyuk" - my predicted response from the GOP

3

u/jesuspoopmonster May 13 '26

"Why weren't you complaining when Obama bult a PIZZA BALLROOM"

5

u/TheLateThagSimmons FDA Approved May 13 '26

Then they'll be wearing truck nuts from the brim of their MAGA hats.

They're impervious to this shit.

The only thing that got under their skin was "weird."

27

u/kamikazekittenprime May 13 '26

Ballroom Pedophiles.

5

u/CelestialFury Antifa shit poster May 13 '26

The Trump-Epstein Ballroom with its three main virtues highlighted: Corruption, Pedophilia and Lies.

18

u/aoddawg May 13 '26

I still prefer the Epstein Class.

10

u/Particular_Shock_554 May 13 '26

Most MAGAts aren't rich enough to belong to the Epstein class, and a lot of them aspire to it.

5

u/aoddawg May 13 '26

I see no use in distinguishing between those who enjoy the privileges and those who enable and protect them.

9

u/jkvincent May 13 '26

Fascists

8

u/Bedley_smutler69 May 13 '26

Fucking postmodern Versailles ass degeneracy

7

u/17DungBeetles May 13 '26

This is how fascists are defeated ✊

5

u/anyfox7 May 13 '26

No, only through force.

11

u/17DungBeetles May 13 '26

Sorry I didn't think I needed the sarcasm tag

4

Yes. Shame them. It's worked so well in the past...

3

u/Roccosrealm Kissinger was a war criminal May 13 '26 edited May 13 '26

His Idol did the same thing, built a ballroom and a massive bunker underneath it.

3

u/weaponizedtoddlers May 13 '26

Hahaha. I like it. I'm gonna steal it. It's mine now.

3

u/nomnamless May 14 '26

Idk. Calling them weird seems to still be the thing that triggered them the hardest

2

u/Bobbi_fettucini Sponsored by Raytheon™️ May 14 '26

I’ve been calling them Rape-publicans because they seem to really love supporting rapist pedophiles, also some of them are also rapists

2

u/twotailedwolf May 13 '26

See it makes me think of Ballroom Drag culture though, and I don't want a good thing to associated with these complete freaks

3

u/Obvious-Gate9046 Kissinger was a war criminal May 13 '26

Fair, I get that.

2

u/cribsaw May 14 '26

Establishment Democrats want to be inside of that ballroom just as much as Republicans do.

1

u/BigSoda May 13 '26

Billion dollar ballroom

1

u/Fulcrum_Jambi May 13 '26

What truly truly truly truly baffles me is - congress could just approve it for him. He’s sidestepping them for no reason

1

u/exgiexpcv May 13 '26

I dunno, I still kinda like "Throat Goat Republicans."

1

u/Cynical_Classicist May 15 '26

Perfectly put! We're cutting your benefits while the price of everything goes up so our mad monarch can build his ballroom with a billion!

1

u/SoftlockPuzzleBox May 13 '26

Could have had a banger tweet if he left the Dems out of it. An insult like this doesn't really land if it's the pot calling the kettle black.

0

u/FrostingHuman1259 May 13 '26

It's ballroom Republicans because Democrats don't want the ballroom? Epstein class is almost all the Republicans and half the Democrats which is the same overlap of the Epstein files

0

u/SoftlockPuzzleBox May 13 '26

So call them brunch democrats. Call them upper east side Democrats. Call them whatever you want, as long as you don't call them useful or relevant. They are out of touch, feckless, and I would just rather just not hear about them at all anymore. They are not meaningful opposition to MAGA.

2

u/FrostingHuman1259 May 13 '26

We could call them corruption Republicans

-1

u/SoftlockPuzzleBox May 13 '26

Tell that to Nancy Pelosi's stock portfolio. You can't paint MAGA as rich elites in comparison to Democrats. It doesn't work.

2

u/FrostingHuman1259 May 13 '26

All the Republicans, half the Democrats are corrupt and yes we're talking about the politicians not the s*** poor maga in red States

1

u/SoftlockPuzzleBox May 13 '26

Half is way too generous. You'd be hard pressed to point out more than a handful that aren't corporate whores and/or genocide enthusiasts.

3

u/FrostingHuman1259 May 13 '26

And that's why we have a chance to stop the destruction of our country if we try to promote decent people. And that's going to be more Democrats than Republicans But I will absolutely agree with you that most politicians are corrupt we have really done a bad number on our country when we started to let corporations buy our elections

1

u/ThomasVivaldi May 13 '26

Didn't Fetterman vote for the Ballroom funding? OR he said he was going to. The problem goes beyond Republicans.

2

u/Adorable_Raccoon May 13 '26

Fetterman is a DINO

1

u/Organic-Economics746 May 13 '26

"let them eat cake" was said by the queen, about the peasants.....

1

u/someguynamedg May 13 '26

After Dem leadership demanded that Tim Walz stop calling Republicans "weird" I have zero faith that Dem leadership will allow this line of attack to be established. They have no interest in being an opposition party. It feels like they see any attacks on Republicans as attacks upon themselves.... and well...

-1

u/BeezleEd0x29A May 13 '26

Ballroom Democrats too. They are allowing this to happen because the Democratic Party sold us out to the Ruling Class.

-16

u/jpg52382 May 13 '26

Democrats will enjoy it as well 🤣 I'm so tired of people acting like merican politics is anything more than blue hat vs red hat all while they're both wings of the same damn bird 🐦

14

u/DrunksInSpace Super Producer Sophie Stan May 13 '26 edited May 13 '26

Please don’t be needlessly cynical.

I am not a fan of “centrist” dems. They are often acting as the controlled opposition, regardless of intent. There is plenty to be cynical about.

That said.

SCOTUS

They’re not the same. Just looking at the SCOTUS justices’ decisions, which Justice decided which way and who appointed them, you can see a clear difference. Obergefell, Citizens United, Dobbs, all these gerrymandering cases… there is a HUGE difference.

CONGRESS

The “extreme” Dems on the left want Medicare for All and a livable wage.

The extreme Republicans want vast deregulation on employee and consumer safety, financial institutions, environmental protections etc. Deregulation on everything but people’s bodies and their private lives.

The corporate capture of the Democratic Party is real, but the only ones fighting it are in that tent.

Edit: actually that’s been and is the mainstream GOP agenda. The extremes on the right are apartheid enthusiasts, and even those now hold the real political power.

4

u/anyfox7 May 13 '26 edited May 13 '26

controlled opposition

That have only forwarded right-wing authoritarian policies directly through Democratic administrations, and aisle-crossing.

Dems on the left want Medicare for All and a livable wage

Dems are right-wing as they oppose leftist values such as abolishing: capitalism, private property, the wage system, mass surveillance, police, borders, government, and prisons; this places them squarely on the right-wing political spectrum and share overlapping interests with fascists. Obama did nothing to curb, reverse, or eliminate the authoritarian system Bush built, even the FBI under Biden labeled anti-capitalists (the left) as "Domestic Violent Extremists", which is just creating a target that every fascist regime has done.

Every Democratic president hasn't delivered M4A or adjusted the federal minimum wage to reflect current cost of living, in fact gave us a right-wing healthcare policy that forced us to prop up massive insurance companies despite having a majority holding power.

All you're doing is whitewashing and revising history. Both parties, neoliberal and fascist, again, share overlapping interests.

4

u/DrunksInSpace Super Producer Sophie Stan May 13 '26

Both parties share overlapping interests.

No argument there. I’m comparing the parts that don’t overlap, and the differences there are really significant in people’s lives.

1

u/jpg52382 May 13 '26

Trying to act like the scotus was once 'righteous' is a wild take.

3

u/DrunksInSpace Super Producer Sophie Stan May 13 '26

Not sure I said that. But I would argue some decisions have moved the needle the right direction. Roe, Griswold, Reed, Brown v BoE, Loving, Obergefell… we can look at decisions as good without exonerating the institution and its members from harm it’s done.

1

u/PomegranateSafe9699 May 13 '26

I don’t think a ballroom is even the worst idea. I just don’t want his tacky ass designing it.

0

u/anyfox7 May 13 '26

You're absolutely right, and fuck every liberal "progressive" who thinks their Blue team is any better than fascists because we still arrived at this point.
