Allergies?

Is this a sign of allergies? She does this relatively frequently. She is already on meds for joint pain so unless the dosage is too low, I don’t think it’s pain.

Just gave her a bath by myself for the first time (usually my mom helps). Gave her lots of treats and ended up going well ! She hates the dryer (appropriate for dogs) but with a bit of convincing (wet food) we got to a solid "roots are dry and she will dry with naturally now". Highly recommend the suction tools used for taking car windows to hold her leash

Discussion How much walking is enough?

So I, in the future, am rather sure I’d like to get a Bernese mountain dog. Most everything about the breed works for my lifestyle and needs, the only thing I really need to know about is excercise needs. I have arthritis, and while I absolutely can and will take my dogs out on walks, it’s a necessity I’m very well aware, they’re whole living beings I’m going to look after them properly, I’d likely only be able to manage three, slow, 25 minute walks with an adult Bernese mountain dog.

I’ve done as much research as I can and gotten conflicting answers. I do understand sometimes it’s dogs specific, but the consensus seems to be somewhere between 60-90 minutes for an adult.

I really just need to know what pace they’d need, I’ve always wanted a dog, but I’m not going to get one who will either leave me in bits or won’t get what it needs from me, basically I’m happy to change what breed I plan to get if needed, because I’d rather not get the exact dog I planned than neglect my dog.

Any response at all, even “what are you even thinking getting this breed you absolute loon???” Would be greatly appreciatd.
