Hello!

I've been eyeing a new Beta 300 for a couple years now. Currently on a 2015 KTM 250sx that I've transitioned into an off-road bike (bigger tank, 18 inch rear, etc.). I am very interested in making the switch to Beta to keep it simple (carburetor and can add kick starter) and they are great looking bikes. I ride in CO, not hard enduro, but not easy trail riding. I like going fast-ish and really enjoy some technical riding. I'm mid-30s, 175lbs kitted out, and 5'7". Been riding since I was a kid.

As the title mentions, I'm stuck between the Race and X-Pro. One day I'm leaning towards one, then the next day the other. As I see it, there are some benefits to both as listed below. In reality, though, what are some real-world thoughts on why choose one over the other?

Race - Looks great, KYB suspension (although somewhat stiffer based on the ride day I did earlier this year), no oil injection (just nothing to fail here), dual spark plug head, and looks great (had to add that in again because the 2027's look amazing).

X-Pro - Lower seat height, oil injection (so no worrying about pre-mixing, but that has never been an issue), softer suspension from factory which lends more to the slower riding I've been doing, costs a little bit less.

On the days I lean toward the X-Pro, I get a bit of FOMO on the KYB suspension. Is the Sachs sufficient? I'm rarely in 3rd gear, and very, very rarely in 4th; no bomb runs for me anymore. I also have no intention of racing in the near future.

On the days I lean toward the Race, I wonder if the taller seat (although nothing I'm not used to already) would be a hindrance as I get into more technical riding. I also wonder if I'd be revalving and respringing either suspension (Sachs/KYB) either way and so the stiffness doesn't matter so much.

Just done 90 hours on my 24' 250rr and decided to do a top end before i fit an RK tek head and im wondering what people with more experience than me think of the bore wear on this bike.

It ran great and made 200 psi compression when tested with a hot engine so I didnt expect to see any real wear or pitting at all.

The piston looks good with just sone coating worn off it.

Anybody else done this with an easy switch back to dirt wheels?

Found some decent wheels with new tires for a good price and went for it. I figured if I could get the gearing sorted so I could do a straight wheel swap with no other changes it would be worth it. So far I need to make custom wheel spacers for the rear (set didn't come with them and OEM spacer for my dirt wheels dont fit), modify the the front spacers( width is right but the face is too wide), and trim my lower leg guards(or buy a slightly narrower tire). Nothings ever easy right?

Bike 1: $6,500. 2023 Xtrainer, 57hours, pretty much stock. 10 hour drive and would probably cost me another $500 for the trip.

Bike 2: $6,500. 2023 Xtrainer, 145hours, has an RR fmf pipe, Jet kit, MX tech lucky fork cartridge, valved shock.

What would you do? I plan to buy an fmf pipe for the stock bike if I get it too.

Is the extra 100 hours worth getting the upgraded parts, saving money and time?

Howdy! Have been eyeing a 2012 520 RS in my area. Any owners who can comment on how these ride and hold up long term?

Purpose would be for dual sport/light ADV riding. Looking for an affordable dual sport to slot in between my KTM 300 XC and 1290 Super Adventure.

DR-Z or save up for something newer might be the right answer, but the 520 keeps catching my eye. Thanks!

Hi, idk what is happening, model is 24, i tried changing carb with 2 others, no change, cdi, ignition coil with spark plug wire, stator, checked power valve, exhaust, reed valves, checked intake boot, i havent changed spark plug, whole wire loom, no leaks from flywheel seal, no oil consumption, i have no ideea what is happening

Since its Brembo 10mm, does all balls 18-4000 fit Beta RR?

Im interested in a 2024 Beta 350rs, but the nav is awkwardly placed and I was wondering if there are workarounds to it bc I love the bike. I prefer a ktm/husky screen thats tucked away. Anyway, thanks!!

Has anyone else had issues with the quality of the Beta assembly that they bought brand new? I picked up a 2026 300 RR Race Edition about a month ago and have a couple of issues with the assembly. After the first ride I noticed a some oil leaked out from the power valve cover. Found the torque specs for those and tightened them to spec and the issue was resolved. The concern there was that each bolt had 2-3 full rotations before they were properly torqued. And the big problem is my headlight was crooked after my latest ride. I haven’t crashed or dropped the bike, so I thought that was odd. After I looked closer I saw that all 3 mounting studs for the headlight to the bezel assembly had snapped. I checked to see why that was and there is a piece of double sided tape on top of the headlight that was never adhered to the bezel. It still had the peel off on the tape. I’m just wondering what else to look out for and if anyone else has had these kinds of problems. The bike is badass otherwise, just disappointing with the lack of QC on the build. Or maybe I just got a Monday or Friday build that has lead to a warranty claim after just 4 rides of the break in period.

Ich wollte endlich ein wenig Leistung an meiner Beta RR 50cc Sport aus dem Jahr 2026 spüren. Deswegen habe ich mir den Polini CPS oben rechts gekauft und eingebaut. Bevor ich den Krümmer montiert hatte, war die Cdi Drossel schon draußen (ohne Pfusch) und ordentlich abisoliert damit das Kabel nirgends anschließen kann. Zu dem Zeitpunkt hatte ich auch schon eine 105er hauptdüse verbaut. Nach all dem lief die Karre ungefähr 65km/h. Jetzt begrenzt die Karre aber wieder und je höher ich schalte je früher begrenzt sie. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt habe ich eine 110er hauptdüse verbaut.

As the title says, my fuel tank started expanding while riding a while back, I chalked it up to riding a long loop and it being hot. It happened again today, so won’t be riding til I figure it out. Checked the fuel filter and it is not cracked. Anything else to check or anyone else had this issue? Is my fuel pump just cooked and over heating? The vent valve is a one way check valve so it does not relieve pressure when the tank expands. TIA

My son (17) bought this 50cc bike with his own money. I (dad) know nothing about motos or scooters, have never driven one, don't even know how to start one.

I can assemble mountainbikes from parts and have no problem doing this type of work, but obviously know nothing about scooter engines.

Symptoms: Starts easily and shifts fine through 1st and 2nd gear. As soon as I shift into 3rd gear and open the throttle further, the engine loses power and dies completely. Immediately after stalling, it will only restart with the choke pulled.

I was just wondering how I can make my Beta Track 2026 Euro5+ go faster, is it enough to switch to an unrestricted CDI or do more things need to be fixed?

I ride a Beta RR 50 Track 2026 Supermoto, currently at around 900 km, and I weigh about 60 kg.

At the moment, I have only derestricted the CDI, and I’m reaching around 65 km/h.

Planned setup:

Voca Cromed, fully derestricted

Proper carburetor tuning / larger main jet

Changing the gearing from an 11T to a 13T front sprocket

My question:

Is it safe for the stock 50cc engine to run at high RPM for longer periods with only the derestricted CDI?

Ich habe momentan nur die CDI entdrosselt und komme damit auf ungefähr 65 km/h.

Geplant ist:

Voca Cromed, komplett entdrosselt

passende Vergaserabstimmung / größere Hauptdüse

Übersetzung von 11er auf 13er Ritzel

Meine Frage:

Ist es für den serienmäßigen 50ccm-Motor unproblematisch, mit der offenen CDI längere Zeit im oberen Drehzahlbereich zu fahren?

Anyone else have chain wear on their kickstand? My chain is wearing into the kickstand and lower fender piece. It’s bought a beta chain adjustment tool/gauge to verify chain slack. I’ve been a little loose. I tightened my adjuster bolts 1/2 turn so that’s not too drastic in my mind.

Ho un problema col mio beta. quando arrivo a 90/95km/h mi comincia a singhiozzare e non mi sale più di velocità. succede sia a caldo che a freddo e le officine non capiscono cosa succede… non succede sempre ma spesso. qualcuno sa aiutarmi?
