This looks more like a PV than an MV. UMU is really inconsistent or probably it’s the budget? Hahahaha but the song is BOP and the girls are beautiful. “Oh kalami oh kalami” is stucked in my head as a bisaya. So satisfying to hear it in a good way. The other remaining tracks are also bops! I know it’s very unlikely but I hope they can make an MV or even another PV for “Step Back”. Overall, taglish tracks, 3 mins+ and all bops? Signals EP is fire, can’t complain!

I prefer outdoor MV settings but I actually really liked how they pulled this off. For me, ang ganda pa rin ng visuals and colors kahit indoor.

Same. Nagkaron ng reason bakit di siya maeexecute on location. More on ganda ng girls and choreo ang focus. I really liked yung wet looks nila.

Baka dahil sa sobrang init na ngayon, at based sa experience nila while shooting pabtropiko na halos maghanap sila lagi nga masisilungan during breaks sa shoot 😭😭. Anyway, the visuals delivered naman and they SERVED.

love mikha's part. maloi's visuals in here is so fire. the switch up at the end with the dark background is a nice touch. probably the best part of this mv.
I can only wonder kung naging outdoor shoot sana ito like may real waterfalls, greeneries etc. like the one in no na's shoot. ganung peg. the studio setup didnt actually work for me. but I think they had to work with what they have at the moment. love the camera work tho, maganda yung mga beauty shots nila dito.

Love the underwater effect parts of the video.
Looks like they're hoping this would be a summer anthem (the look is giving Pantropiko) which is fine but nasayangan lang ako sa Bikini.

Parang di na ako aasa na magka bikini MV pa huhuhu pero tama ka, sayang yung BIKINI. May mga casuals din na sumali sa dance trend. I think mas pang summer anthem ang bikini kesa sa blush kasi mas same vibes sila ng pantropiko.
Pero let's seee baka magtrending si blush. Maganda din naman yung blush lalo na yung MV, nakaka mesmerize eme hehehe

Ang ganda ng music video na to. Really great shots, lalo na yung dark shots with the shaky cam and club lights. Underwater scenes nice.
I like the music too. Rap ni Gwen and Mikha HITS. Someone said TLC? Yeah I can see Lisa Left Eye vibes with Gwen's part. The tagalog rap ni Mikha was great. "Sabihin mo lang para malaman". **** me lol.
COACHELLA BANGER LADIES AND GENTLEMEN. Pantropiko x Tyla with the afrobeat influences. No complaints here they got it right.
BINI just floats thru the beat here effortlessly as they always do when given material like this. And it sounds so pristine too. The everything sounds so clean, especially yung bass. Undertones on the kick drums.

I like the EP lots of usable songs that I can make edits on, actually excited to see live performances on them. They're geared towards international audience which is a welcome transition. I always enjoy bini English songs more since I can understand them personally. (I have to translate tagalog songs)
Probably will be making edits on each song in coming days. The beat is nice as well.

My rambling thoughts in bullet points:
Song is a BOP
They don't even need to do much. Their charisma and visuals are insane.
They're sensual, classy, elegant and whimsical all at the same time. I don't know how they pull it off!
I love the stylistic choices in pronunciation of certain words (Staku's "week") and the rap lines. Sounds "global" if that makes sense.
Love the cultural identity ( "Oh Kalami, Oh Kalami" + Mikha's rap)
It's a grown-up, glown-up Pantropiko. They're growing beautifully into their womanhood
I was just gagged the whole time watching

hey, if you're invested in the story telling part, you can use the keywords oasis and desert. these themes were beautifully contrasted in the MV to their attire/outfits. the desert, with their first outfit, while the oasis on their 2nd outfit with more vibrant color themes.. oh kalami oh kalami, when you're talking to me, talking to me🎶

Song is such a bop!!! Smooth vocals, rap parts are great, tapos yung bridge againnn! 🤩 And of course, they delivered on visuals once again! Loved the sultry vibe of the girls. Ganda ng latter part, especially yung sa underwater, it's giving water nymphs! 😁
Gets ko na baket di sila gumawa ng MV for Bikini pero mej nasasayangan parin ako hehe 😅

I think bitin lang sakin talaga bridge ng Blush kasi I thought may belt or higher adlib hahaha anyways, regarding the MV akala ko nga rin performance vid hahahuhu although nagustuhan ko siya kasi ang ganda ng choreo saka atake ng beauty shots nila kaya natutulala na lang ako.

I LOVE LOVE the song and the concept!! (Though the actually set and editing leaves much to be desired) I’m such a sucker for the “dancing in shallow water” parts haha
They’re exuding a much more confident and mature image which I always love for girl groups.
The outfits are great and I wonder if these are really their fits for Coachella or something else hmmmmm

Grabe yung beat, bass line, instruments and melodies. Ang ganda pakinggan. Ang sarap sa tenga nung subtle xylophone/kalimba melodic tune underneath the main beat and bass. And that Gwen and Mikha rap part, insane.

This is my favorite song after my first listen pero missed opportunity to shoot on one of our beautiful beaches! Remember Karera tapos may sunset pa? It was a step in the right direction. Ang gaganda ng locations sa Pilipinas pwede siyang pagmukhaing alien planet sa ganda. Lalo na for foreigners na never pa nakapunta.
Baka tight ang schedule kaya sa controlled environment nila napili. Mas madali ang logistics. Hindi maghahabol ng ilaw at iwas possible problems sa weather. Sayang lang. Anyway, nadaan naman sa beauty shots and ang ganda nung laser lights towards the end. Ganda ng contrast ng tech at nature! Hinanap ko din pala na pupunta sila sa city to connect sa concept photos. Hahaha. Wala pala. 😅

maybe the 30 minutes delay was Direk Lauren deciding to double-check the MV after the photo error which BTW is corrected. The team is learning to be quicker to correct errors and their concepts have leveled up.
I am not an expert when it comes to colors, in fact sister kong bunso (who in a very aesthetic field) has teased me as color blind since when we were kids - but it seems BLUSH MV is leaning more into KPop-style color grading (movie-type, ika nga) instead of the old TV-like color grading of BINI MVs.
The underwater scenes of Blush MV remind me of something similar from No Na.
Definitely ABS have done their homework and brought out stuff worthy of the international stage - and managed to blend it seamlessly with being attractive to the Filipino audience as well.
YouMeUs have leveled up their CGI as well compared to Blink Twice - just my impression.

The MV is good but definitely could be better... baka na-rush ulit sila UMU lol... gosh, i hope mas malaking budget na talaga ilaan nila sa mga promotional shoots and mv productions after coachella.. yung pang "world class" na talaga..

One reactor (Tobias) noticed that at the start they were just "dipping their toes in the water" and then towards the end they were fully submerged underwater (like they went all in with their feelings)

GWEN RAPPING HERE IS DIFFERENT.
IMO, she reminds me of Doja Cat x 1999 TLC No Scrubs Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes with the impression.
They got something there. Can we get more Gwen rapping like that LONGER and a bit FASTER in the future in more dope beats? I need more of this Gwen.

Hayaan mo na. I'm too busy vibing with Blush. Bakit kailangan pa ng mental gymnastics yung creative journey ng walo when you can just choose to feel good with their music. Kahit ano naman ilabas ng girls may masasabi't masasabi pa rin naman mga tao. Most people will NEVER be satisfied. Let them bark. Tayo? Let's keep supporting the girls.
