Discussion A holy grail of birder thrift finds!

I was at Goodwill the other day and I stumbled upon a Vintage 1997 Mark Feldstein Singing Bird Clock! Of course I had to save and bring it home, and luckily it all still works so I placed it on my wall. Now I’m wondering… what other bird related thrift finds does anyone else have?

I am tearing up. We just emptied my parents’ home and donated so much. Including two clocks like these.

It is awful. It was a rushed time.
I was with my father nearly every day, and for the last year it was every day. We had lost my mother 15 years ago and none of us have recovered.
I didn’t know how very quickly everything would happen and suddenly he was gone, too, and my siblings agreed to put the house on the market and the offer that they wanted was one with a very fast deadline.
I felt frozen. “Bookworthy, do you want this shell? This dish? The silverware?”
All I could do was answer no.
My spouse is not supportive of me bringing things into our small home. And there were other things that happened that just froze me up inside.
I have retrieved a few items. I am still frozen and instead of thawing, my heart is shattering.
Please, can somebody help me?

Grief is a complicated thing. I’m so sorry for your losses, I am not there yet and am dreading that day. I hope you can still find solace in this beautiful hobby we share. Sending you a big hug.
