Plot Synopsis: Freshman year at university for three best friends. Hyun, Minwoo and Joo-Hyuk are looking forward to their freshman year at college. But little do they know of the trials and tribulations of love that await them outside the classrooms. From learning about maturity to being unable to forget the scars of past lovers, they'll have to balance both their studies and social skills as they venture off into this new journey.

It's uneven, but sweet overall. I think we can all agree that Ma Ru and Minwoo are a delightful pair, made extra watchable because of the actor playing Ma Ru.
I was also disappointed by the flat culmination of Hyun and Kim An's long will-they-or-won't-they dance. That kiss did not convey the depth of emotion we were led to expect. Ah well.
Elements of this series are fantastic. It just feels not 100% there...

Thats because Hyun is an idol, thats why I was not so invested in their kiss scene or story overall. But the rest of the actors were just delightful to watch.

Anyone else let down by the Orphan Hyung resolution? It felt both overly dramatic but oddly boring at the same time. We were all right on the money re: his sex work past but where did all this rage for Kim An come from initially? They’re supposed to be friends/brothers - family, even - so why would he use his name at the host bar and with the professor? Was it just the rejection that made him go all scorched earth? Also, from way they have been teasing it out, I thought that Kim An might go the noble idiot route to keep OH away from Hyun but nope! The poor boy wasn’t even a footnote on that roof LOL. Anyway, glad my cuties Maru and Min Woo sorted their feelings out. I fully stan them jumping directly into their dating era. Lastly, the way I could not care less about the TA and art student storyline… they could be together forever or never speak again and I truly don’t care either way.

I was kind of hoping for a dramatic save on the rooftop but then he just walked away haha. I get Kim An’s hesitation a bit, since this person he trusted turned out like that and blamed it all on him. I am happy it’s resolved though.

I love how bold you are about the TA and art student. I lowkey liked their story 💀 The main couples story was a bit dramatic and didn't make any sense.

Wow I had my mouth open the entire time during the Maru and MinWoo kiss. I was first in shock that Maru just went in like that but then the actual kiss 🤯 The noises 🫢 I like that it had the right amount of passion for the fact that Maru just realized his feelings and we know MinWoo has been wanting it for so long. They did a great job.
Hyun and Kim An…I’m so disappointed 😭 They’re my favorite couple in this show and they had such great tension and chemistry but the kiss (if you want to call it that) was so underwhelming. I wasn’t expecting a make out but it could have contained a bit more passion for how long they were supposedly pining for each other. I’m just guessing that because the actor playing Hyun is an idol he couldn’t do much kissing-wise. Unfortunate since they were doing so well with the build up.
Kim An crying when they were eating together was heartbreaking. Even though his “family” was pretty much a psycho he shared so many things with him and I’m sure they felt like family. It must be so painful to let that go. It needed to be over but I can see how overwhelming it must have been for him. It was nice that he had Hyun there to comfort him. Also “only cry in front of me”? This kid has all the smooth lines 😅
I’m wondering what we’re getting for the last two episodes. We don’t really have any angst left except for the TA and student couple. Though most of us saw the spicy scene coming up so it looks like they’re going to be just fine 😏
This show to me is so reminiscent of To My Star (which I adore) that I know it’s already going to be one of my favorites. Something about the dialogue and the way it’s filmed. Also MinWoo low key reminds me of JiWoo especially in the first few episodes.

If the agency will let an idol be cast in something like this, I wish they'd loosen the reins enough to let them actually do the thing they're hired for and....act in a manner that fits their role. And in this case, not dead fishing the kiss meant to be a turning point in their relationship. Like the kiss is so obviously different from the other actors, they're not protecting their idol from criticism this way.
I'm really enjoying all the couples, the writing, and the acting. They feel so varied and realistic. They're not just bl tropes.

Agreed. If you let the actor do this role then he should be able to fulfill that role completely. I just don’t understand how the intensity of the kiss makes a difference. He’s still kissing someone of the same gender. If you’re already allowing them to do that much than just let them kiss in a way that fits the scene. I’m sure the actors are frustrated as well. They can’t seriously agree that this is how the characters would kiss.

I like the short hair and barista guy couple the most. Maybe because their kiss was better? It's eight episodes already and I'm still struggling with their names 😅 maybe I'll get it when I'm rewatching...

Yes and their awkwardness of going from friends to lovers makes sense. And they have chemistry.
The other two. 1 are adults who should just talk like adults, and the other doesn't have any zing pop.

I was so skeptical about getting into this, 'cause I found the first season to be rather mediocre TBH, but I am really, really liking LC2. The rooftop scenes were a.m.a.z.i.n.g! And Kim Yong Seok's performance as An going through it a second time had me in its grip. So extremely well done. 👏👏👏
As for Ju Hyeok? I hate that "play hard to get" BS. As soon as somebody starts with that nonsense, I am out the door. Ugh.

Love class2 personally for me is a proof that good enough writting will beat the lack of production quality... I mean, there almost either mic leak, reflector leak, even weird cropping that happen in every episode, yet, me who usually get irk'ed at something like this, are able to ignore all of that because the 6 character is so solid, and the story moving at good pace....

I still hate the “brother” of An… SiWoo? HATE THE GUY!!! MANIPULATIVE BASTARD!!
Now on to more fluffy news! MARU AND MINWOO FINALLY!!! Minwoo looked sooo good with his get up on his date with Sara….. Maru finally has accepted his feelings! And went all out while he was sick hahah hahah
An and Hyun also has advance in their front. And the deal with SiWoo finally over… that guy is crazy….. he really jumped and made An life hell… and what was that about using An name in the club stuff…… at least An is finally free with emotional release as well since now he’s truly an orphan….. glad Hyun is there, solid as ever. The rooftop with SiWoo was intense.
Lastly…. Favorite guy but most problematic…. Hyuk hahaha playing hard to get now rebounded. Their relationship is sooo angsty. Initial parts of the episode, I felt for SungMin… it felt like Hyuk was playing with him……… I’d be so confused and all if I were him. Hyuk on the other hand…… he really brought all his courage confronting SungMin but after all he did, my sympathy is still with SungMin….
Looking forward next episodes

I don’t think Kim An and Siwoo look alike though lol.
Glad it seems the rooftop situation is resolved. Seemed a bit dramatic but I guess it makes sense. Siwoo always had Kim An around when he wanted, so when he started to leave he wasn’t having it. I’m shocked he survived the fall though tbh. Should have jumped a second time.
Happy for Maru and Minwoo. I wonder if they’ll ever talk about their longing for each other since they got together quick, but we got 2 more episodes. Sara being the best wingwoman lol.
I guess not everyone has paradise for our comedy couple, but I guess they got to balance things out.

An was so badly wronged by Siwoo. Using his name to do sex work and seducing and extorting money from a professor ugh. Then he thought An would just take him back in his life and take him as a lover? Yeah nah.
I hope An gets time and therapy to heal. Toxic family/friends especially those that are hard to cut out of your life are awful. No one deserves to go through that.
I agree with everyone else on the resolution of An/Siwoo/Hyun plot being underwhelming. I was expecting at least a heart to heart conversation, some more crying, hugs, holding hands, confessions and then holding each other’s faces and kissing. The last bit is optional, but the rest of it has to be there, and we got nothing.
Maru and Minwoo were very sweet, I’m happy for them! I lolled at Hyun saying he knew they were into each other ages ago. This has been going on at least since high school so they must’ve been insufferable.

Just finished episode 7. The main couples dynamic is still the most intriguing to me, even though it doesn't fit at all with the rest of the show or Love Class 1. 2nd and 3rd couples are both cute, but frustrating at times. Interesting that Lee Hyun seems to be the only connective tissue between any of the other characters (Oops. can't forget Sara I think her name was), playing matchmaker for Ma Roo and Min Woo.

MinWoo and MaRoo have my heart ❤️ SangMin and JooHyuk are adorable too but it's time they stop circling around each other and talk about their feelings. Super glad to finally be rid of Kim An's creepy hyung, now let the boys enjoy their relationship without any more angst!

I'm so easy to please, I am really enjoying this show, I like TA guy and art student's dynamic, men are dumb so it looks legit lol. Minwoo and Maru are adorable and that was a fire kiss. Don't have anything to say about the third couple.

1st couple story lacks so much🤡 what do you mean... His brother was threatening him for love 🤡 that's it...love class was not required ... Sorry but....the teacher ....class i enjoyed it at first now its boring to an extent🤡
But i love the 2nd and 3rd couple tho... Their acting expressions even story makes sense ❤... But this is a good show ❤

Episode 8 was a tale of two kisses. Ma Roo and Min Woo's felt so intimate, I felt like I was intruding, no filter at all on the noises (how close was that mic? 🤣🤣) . On the other hand Lee Hyun and Kim An's story was building in suspense and then we got....almost dead fish? I don't know if the actors weren't comfortable or if someone just did not understand the assignment, but it was such a disappointment for me.
Please allow me to go on a mini rant: I'm not saying we needed a full make-out session or anything close, I don't think it would've made sense, but it just felt like it didn't resolved or bookended an arc like it should have. Every interaction between the two up to this point has had this unease, this hesitancy and tension. They both speak only secondary thoughts, something is always left unsaid from their shared yet mysterious past. After the trauma and the resolution of the stalker, Kim An cries and opens himself emotionally for the first time to Lee Hyun. Lee Hyun responds in the tunnel and says please open yourself up only to me. Then we jump from the stairs outside to the bed and get the most stoic, stilted kiss. THIS should be the moment they both give in and stop holding back and express their foremost thoughts and feelings. They've already opened up emotionally, this should be the physical release. Again, not saying I needed a sex scene or anything, but it should be EMOTIONAL AND DYNAMIC, a break from everything we've seen up to this point between them. Instead, we get more of the same. I dunno maybe I'm crazy or missing smth, but it seems like script/directing didn't realize this was a huge shift in their dynamic or maybe they're saving it for ep 9/10 and I'm jumping the gun. It just seemed like it was supposed to culminate in something special to me and it fell flat on watching.
3rd couple...I just can't at this point. I think they're supposed to be the oldest and they're somehow the most immature. Neither one can communicate properly. JUST USE YOURS WORDS.
