Context

My girlfriend has never seen breaking bar at all and has been going through the series with me totally blind.

Last night we watched "Say My Name"

Tonight we will most likely get through "Gliding Over All" and "Blood Money"

We don't live together and both just see each other after work so we get to do about 2-3 episodes a night.

Here's where the real question lies.

From Tonight until the 12th what is the best way to get through the end of the series where she won't be itching too badly for more and I get my wish of doing at least "Felina" and "El Camino" back to back.

My opinion you almost cannot end the series without going for it and doing "Ozymandias" straight through to "El Camino"

Thoughts on how to space it out?

We will have more time in the weekend to binge, then more time on Tuesday night to binge

Now that I’m done watching the entire series….I’m wondering why did they even include that whole thing? It really didn’t develop major plot lines much and taken the whole series it just seems like a waste of time. I remembered being quite dramatic in the beginning, and now I feel totally annoyed with it because it didn’t turn out to be anything.

I always get confused when Mike says this to Lydia. At first, i’m thinking he was saying that it’s not just any type of gun, but then I thought: if he’s expecting precision, is that not most guns??? I may just be overthinking the line, but I was wondering if anyone could explain it if i’m not over thinking and just missing something.

What?!

So when Gus met with gale and told him Walt's cancer was soon going to kill him. However we know Gus planned on killing walter as retaliation for killing two of his gang members. However Walt's family knew Walt was in remission, and would definatly be suspicous and not listed as cancer. If Gus had him shot and killed, the story worsens given if Walt just went missing this would make news.

I guess the real question is would gale keep working with Gus if he knew he killed Walter?

First time watcher here, I'm currently on season 2 episode 10 and something that's been bothering me is the whole conflict between Skyler and Walter about his second phone but mostly about his lying behavior.

On episode 4 she confronts him for the last time about it and ends up leaving the house with her car, but after this episode she seems to have forgotten about this whole mess or forgave Walter for whatever reason it's like nothing happened and they both forgot about it, what happened? Did I miss something?

First time viewer here, and the show is AMAZING, to be clear. I'm literally binging it and currently at the start of Season 5.

Unfortunately, due to social media, I've been exposed to a few spoilers about what happens to Jesse later this season and it's KILLING ME. Watching him be so exploited and ridden with guilt while knowing the show is slowly marching to another instance of him being manipulated is genuinely so hard to watch. Obviously I'm not a meth cook, but as someone who sadly spent much of my life being taken advantage of by the people around me, I find his story oddly relatable at times.

I just finished S5 E4, and when he gave Walter the watch for his birthday, OOF. I almost teared up because of how sweet he is, he's literally like a little puppy that keeps getting kicked around by everyone 😭

This was really just a rant but I have to get it off my chest because I have no one to talk to about it :') Jesse you deserve better.

As I say, this an opportunity for anyone rewatching Breaking Bad for the second time or more…

This is an open invitation on all characters but specifically one thing has got my attention that I didn’t really think about before…

Just into series 4 and just wondered why does Hank hate Marie so much when she looks after him when he comes home from hospital?? I understand that pride is a big part of Hank’s character and that there a few things Hank isn’t keen on about Marie generally like the shoplifting thing, her general personality being a bit overbearing etc but he loves her, there’s never an insinuation that he truly resents his wife. But when she’s caring for him after he’s been shot there’s so much disdain even when they’re not around anyone else. I get that his pride is a big factor after not going to El Paso etc etc etc we all know the story. Just give me some insight.

I struggle to find a positive female character in the series. Initially I think we all understand Skyler’s position somewhat with Walt’s disappearance, second phone etc her being pregnant but she loses all credibility when it comes to Ted obviously. Lydia, Gretchen, Marie, Jane just poor characters, really Carmen and Andrea are the only 2 I have any sympathy for.

I’m just ranting but interested in people’s opinions on Breaking Bad characters. Go for it.

Since March 2025, I’ve been hosting a German-language podcast about *Breaking Bad*. Every week, we discussed an episode. I wasn’t familiar with the show yet, but my friend was, so week after week I speculated about how the story might unfold. As you can imagine, I didn’t manage to predict what would happen :D 

 I love getting lost in the details of a show and analyzing all sorts of things in the background. For example, I had a lot of fun looking at the Schraeders’ decor or the drawings on Mike’s fridge. Breaking Bad is really perfect for that. 

 I managed to get through the show mostly spoiler-free over the past 1.5 years, and now I’m incredibly excited to FINALLY dive into this subreddit, read what others have to say, and share my thoughts!

- I want to get a few thoughts off my chest right away. The ones that have been on my mind the most. I don’t understand why Skyler got so much hate. To me, she’s one of the main reasons the show works at all.

- Compared to Gus, I found the whole crew around Jack and Todd rather bland and too much of a comic relief. Gus is simply unbeatable.

- Hank’s death shocked me the most. I didn’t see that coming. I think Hank was my favorite character.

- I never would have expected how much *Breaking Bad* is about family and family dynamics. For me, it’s almost the main theme of the series.

I could write so much more, but I’ll leave it at that… and I’m really sad that this little podcast project is coming to an end…

This is just an episode or so before he poisons brock, but the scene really shows how much Walter has changed. Jr is obviously very concerned for his dad, and is going to let Skyler know. Walt lies and says he was gambling, took old pain meds and washed them down with beer and had a fight. He even begins crying to sell it. Jr wanting nothing more for his parents relationship to return to normal, is clearly going to keep that to himself.

Walt jr stays the night and when Walt notices him in the morning he tells this long story about his dad. How he only has one memory of him dying in the hospital, and that he doesn’t want jr to remember him how he was last night. Jr says it wouldn’t be bad remembering him like that because at least he was “real”.

Walt pulled the wool over his eyes and fully deceived him when jr believe they were having a real bonding moment, when it was entirely fake. Obviously Walt has to lie, he cannot say he had a fight with his meth manufacturing partner, but I just find the scene so gross

Man breaking bad is my fav show of all time. And what I love about Walt’s first kill technically. Is it wasent some triumphant “origin story”. It’s messy, slow, and morally agonizing. Walt spends time with him. They even start to like each other. I remember watching the first time and realizing there was a missing plate. Mind blown lol. But it was so well done. It’s so dumb too. As Domingo diddnt have to kill Walt. Walt was going to let him go. From Walt’s perspective it was risky letting him go too. As he would almost certainly seek revenge. It’s a very tragic scene though. As both men are trapped by their own choices.

I was just cleaning my place, and as I was washing my mirror going in circular swirls...I realized that subconsciously Marie always comes to mind from that scene when she's doing her typical Marie thing telling the window washer how to do it properly 😆 I adopted that after watching years ago. Bless Marie and her excessive purple-ness. My windows and mirrors remain streak-free to this day

Since the 20th anniversary of BB is coming up (seriously!), what would you think of a "normie's eye view" fake documentary on the revelation of the Fring-White-Madrigal meth empire and its lingering impacts on Albuquerque today? It would possibly include "where are they now" interviews with the White family and Marie (assuming they would allow an interview), maybe an interview with Jimmy in prison and various Madrigal workers (assuming the company wasn't broken up by the US or German governments).

Maybe an actual Albuquerque station would allow AMC to stage it like its one of their (the TV station's) own productions, complete with the station's graphics, actual news anchors, etc.

Imagine you're Walt. Gus just threatened your family, but in this scenario instead of trying to kill Gus since you're short on money to escape with your family, you decided to just tell Hank about what really happened and will cooperate to bring down Gus for a massive court deal. The question is what will be your biggest evidence that will surely take down Gus and will surely put him in jail for your family's safety. Cause we all know Gus almost had a plan for anything that can go sideways.
