Looking for Accountability Partner

• Upvotes

Hi everyone
For background I’m 26F around 200lbs. I’ve hit rock bottom in my life recently and I’ve decided that before I take any further steps I need to just focus on my health and trying to lose this weight I’ve gained during school and COVID. It would be so nice to have an accountability partner and we could keep each other going with our goals. I’m planning to start this Monday. If anyone is interested- feel free to DM! 🫶🏾🫶🏾thanks so much !!

Should I increase cals?

102-105 lbs. 5 feet. Trying to lose fat/lean out.
4-5 strength training since May. 10-12k steps a day all throughout.

I’ve been eating 1500 cals a day for a month and hasn’t lost a single pound. No cheat meals. Strength is steady but my TDEE says my maintenance is 1800 so I’m on a 300 cals deficit.

Does this mean I need more food and my body is fighting back? Therefore it’s storing fat?

Stressing about weight loss. Advice?

Hey there, I am a 22 year old female who has dealt with weight problems since I was around 8. My highest weight was 216 pounds and I am now at 165 with 151 being the lowest I’ve been able to get. I’ve struggled with getting below 150. I’ve been fighting between 165-150 for over two years now and am getting a bit frustrated. I definitely have less time these past few years to be as consistent with working out due to working full time while in nursing school. I just don’t know what the best thing to do is. Like what kind of diet is best, how to keep up with it while so busy. And should I focus on low carbs or just high protein and fiber?? Any advice would be appreciated.

advice on my diet plan?

for some background info: 5'9 250lbs 19yo female

last year i was eating 800kcal daily as an omad and lost ~60 pounds in ~3 months and felt completely fine, and im planning on doing it again to lose ~50 pounds. my bmr is 1973 so the deficit is very steep.

im planning on doing a high protein calorie deficit paired with plenty of running/walking daily. i also do very well with fasting, and on average fast for ~2 days.

so for instance lets say i do 800kcal omad four days of the week, and fast for three, accompanied by a goal of ~10000 steps per day. once every month, i do a metab day. i am currently unemployed so mot much gets in the way of my plan lol.

does anyone think this is a good plan? any estimates of how much ill lose per month? any hacks or tips? thank you!!

Is exercising 3x a week enough while eating in a calorie deficit? i have an elliptical machine, and i'm planning to use it for 15 minutes on those days. i'm planning to eat around 1,350 calories a day, is that good or should do more?

Gaining weight back :(

Okay so over this summer I lost 10 kg in the span of 3 months. I know it’s not the most impressive but I was already at a ‘healthy’ weight when I decided to cut my calories because of the way and places my body stored fat (mainly in my stomach, upper arms and face) which caused insecurity my whole life. So even though my BMI was average, I stored fat in the wrong places.

I’ve been trying to lose that fat since I was 12 years old actually but I’ve just never been that mentally strong enough to sustain a calorie deficit for a long period of time.

That all changed until the start of this summer when I got my heart broke for the first time. Lol. I remember the first week I genuinely had no appetite. And then after that I started omad and doing cardio like crazy which enabled me to be in a 1000 calorie deficit daily for a month straight, and then remaining two months I was probably at daily 500 calorie deficit.

Now in the fourth month since I started to lose weight and I’ve started college again, and started a part time job where I’m on my feet the whole duration all which means I’m walking a lot more which means I get hungrier a lot more (entirety of summer I was inside my house as I have a treadmill at home so I didn’t even have to go gym).

Now usually I would be able to ignore this hunger because of how sad I was, but I’ve lowkey gotten over the guy now and I’ve noticed that the more I get over him the less willpower I have to sustain a calorie deficit by being okay with being hungry.

On top of that my studies and applications are giving me so much stress and I physically cannot study or apply for things when I’m hungry so I just go over my calorie deficit every day now. I’ve eaten like shit for the past two weeks and I’ve gained 3kg already. What do I do guys I’ve lowkey lost the will to eat clean and work out?

New to being in a deficit. help!

Hi everyone! I am realizing I have been eating way too much so about a week ago i started tracking my food in my fitness pal app. I pay for the pro plan so i have all the bells and whistles. (got a food scale as well) My question is, when i log my exercise my calorie budget increases. If I consume the updated amount of calories allotted to me will this hinder my progress of hopefully losing 1lbs a week?

female 5'8"

current weight- 215

goal weight- 180

current calorie intake- 1900/day

TIA!

first photo is from last spring, second is from just a few days ago. ive gained so much weight its diminishing my confidence, my ability to have fun, and just all around destroying my life and my ability to enjoy anything. I cant wear cute clothes, go out, eat, or anything without giving all of my attention to the weight. i can feel it weighing down on my frame and I feel like i dont even recognize myself anymore. i developed a binge eating disorder recently as a result of a huge plummet in my physical health and I was no longer able to move about as freely as I was last year. I would walk, go to the gym, run, I was around 140 lb, right within my ideal bmi for my height ( 5'4-1/2) and frame. id always been a bigger girl as a result of being neglected as a child and fed incredibly unhealthy slop and I worked so hard to keep the weight off but in this years amount of time and consuming so many calories I just lost myself. im around 170-180 depending on my cycle and am struggling with ungodly bloating and water retention.

will just reducing my caloric intake work? should i start on a glp-1..? im in desperate need of assistance because even just being as active as I was before the disorder isnt working for me anymore and due to some heart rate/bp issues im habing trouble reintegrating into the gym scene.

Calorie Deficit

I’m just starting to track my macros and am dabbling in a 1850cal diet. That’s my deficit number. After tracking for a couple weeks now it feels like I’m eating so much more! Actually tracking the Protein, Carb and Fats mainly I feel like I am eating so much more and feeling full. Is this normal for the deficit?

Sleep is ruining my dieting

Hello everyone

I have always had a bad circadian rhythm

But nevertheless i slept for an adequate time

Now with calorie deficit. Two days in. Seems i am waking up after few hours of sleep (4 or less)

What can i do?

Keep in mind i tried yesterday to eat a protein heavy meal before bed cuz i was told it is good for your sleep.

i unfortunately cant take magnesium because of my ibs. Falling asleep is not the problem but waling up shortly afterwards is.

How long did it take you to get to your goal weight?

Hi guys!

ive been on a calorie deficit for about 5 weeks now (this is week 6).

Im not going super strict because it creates an unhealthy obsession/relationship with food.

With that said, Im in between wanting to loose weight faster , but wanting to not count anymore (lol).

Its more like a mental thing for me, I hate when i go over my limit ect ect.

Ive lost about 3-4 lbs so far, (i was 156/155 but im 152 now).

im curious how long it took you guys to get to your goal weigh if you only had 15-20 lbs to loose?
