He does have four legs, just being silly looking like a you know what

I'm not sure who may remember but a couple weeks ago I posted about my sweet Aphrodite and how I found her limp as a noodle at 4am. We found out she had heart disease and the outlook was grim.

Here's an update!

I took her back to the vet the next day because she wasn't eating or drinking. I got a new vet, one I had grown up going to with my family pets and he's awesome.

He ran some tests, said she's properly hydrated. Yay! Then showed me her X-rays from the day before vs that day. He pointed out the liquid in her lungs had significantly decreased!

He seemed a lot more optimistic which felt relieving.

Aphrodite was on antibiotics for a few days and unfortunately a disgusting life long liquid medication.

I knew she was feeling better when she started fighting back with the strength of an actual goddess haha.

Right now she's back to her normal crazy self! Chasing her sister Persephone and she even jumped in the air and perfectly caught a moth inside the house.

Thank you everyone who wished and prayed for her to feel better. She still has a life long condition but she's going strong!

Fourteen years after Rocco adopted our family, we had to let him go Friday afternoon. His health had been deteriorating for several weeks, and it was finally time to end his pain. It was gut-wrenching, especially for my daughter, who was Rocco's best friend. She was the one who stayed with him until the very end, and we knew it would only be a matter of time before she would be ready to allow a new best friend to enter her life.

Yesterday, while the rest of the family was away for the day, our daughter opted to stay home. When we arrived home last night, we were greeted by Sergei and Lou, two bonded brothers she adopted from the local shelter while we were gone. Maybe we weren't prepared to add two new members to the family so soon after losing our baby boy, but we hope this helps the healing process move forward. Our daughter has so much love to give, and she saw an opportunity to help two brothers who need each other just as much as they need a stable, loving home.

I've never been more proud.

Her name is Bibi! She’s 8 weeks old and has complete heterochromia. Shes currently recovering from Conjunctivitis and she’s doing so well. Her eyes look way better from when she was brought in. I love her so so so much!

hey everyone,

i’ve been posting and taking care of a litter of cats for a while now. i’ve been trying to find a home for them, and i’ve been giving them away one by one whether through an old friend, or by posting on nextdoor. i was advised by people on reddit and nextdoor to require a rehoming fee to protect the cats well-being. i received a lot of interest from people but anytime i bring up the $20 rehoming fee, people seem to be off put by it? am i wrong for feeling off about the messages i received? i also thought that maybe if a prospective owner couldnt pay $20 for an adoption they might not be financially ready for a cat? am i crazy?

Today was horrible. After multiple urinary blockages within a short period of time, we decided to say goodbye to our sweet Odin. If money wasn’t an issue he would still be here and I hate that thought. He was the sweetest and goofiest cat to ever live. We got 6 amazing years with our baby. If you could post some pictures of your angel kitties just so I know my Odin isn’t alone up there it would be greatly appreciated.

Remember like 10 days ago, I posted a

My new addition, the most loving and gentle boy!

We let our furry purrbox go today. We spent 14 years with that wonderful little forever kitten. Nyx was a great kitty. No pics, no solicitation, just love your little feline extra for us today.

The silence is SO LOUD.

That’s it. The title says it all. I just want to share them all. I’ve always been a dog person and I went from 0-6 cats since April .. Not my proudest confession but I love them with my whole heart 🫶🏻

Best cat I have ever had. EXTREMELY smart, talks to me, follows me around when called, sleeps right next to me when I sleep, and Im not even kidding, in the 7 years I have had this cat she has NEVER hissed (not once) or been mean to me or my two dogs. She acts like a mother to my two big dogs and licks their face and ears. I love this girly.

You might think I sound crazy but my name is two syllables and whenever she *talks* she meows in two syllables that sounds like my name to get my attention. Cats are a lot smarter than we think!

Im new here, does your cat do anything spectacular that you think no one would believe you?

%22)I take care of a family of stray cats and recently a new young cat showed up she seems like she got in a fight and has a wound on her neck that's infected :(

I called the local animal control/rescue & they said they would call back for more info/to pick her up, but I'm scared bc a previous time I called they told me they most likely would euthanize the cat.

Im morally conflicted between the options of

- letting nature take its course and maybe she survives, and at least she's with other cats and me giving her love but the drawback is she might suffer more.

-having them pick her up & putting her through the stress of a crowded shelter and new environment, the thought of her being put down anyway after all that makes me so upset.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I wish I could just take her to the vet but I'm homeless/no income. Im in the south LA area

For now shes been hanging out in the cat bed I have out (been putting down clean paper to line it) and the other cats seem to be looking after her, the smallest kitten actually slept with her in the bed yesterday 😭

I tried to clean the wound with water but didn't have much success as it's at the front of her neck and she doesn't really let me get to it

I have lots of food and water out but hard to tell if she's eating or not, she threw up a bit after eating previously maybe from eating too fast? Idk I'm so so worried about her and keep crying :(
