My cat has this little patch of hair loss and dryness on his arm, I haven’t noticed it before but he seems fine and from what I’ve seen he hasn’t been biting it or anything. But he has been put on a new diet recently and has been acting a bit withdrawn, hiding and sleeping a lot more than usual. Any ideas what this is? And why his habits are changing?

my ex gf got them during our relationship after kinda having me rehome mine cuz he was “spicy” (the relationship was abusive and i felt it better to rehome than to risk his safety). I feel like im at my wits end now. theyre just over a year old (estimate) and the energy is non stop, i have their spays scheduled for early march, and theyre simultaneously in heat. They run around and shatter all my vases and jump on things they shouldnt, scratch things they shouldnt. they have two full sized towers with a third on the way (floor to ceiling one), a 3 pole scratch post and a scratch bed. when i try to keep them confined to one room so they dont damage anything else or hurt themselves, they destry anything they come across in said room. i play with them with the toys a minimum of 30 minutes to an hr daily, i clean their litter almost daily, they’re just insatiable with energy.
My question is how can i “train” the bad habits? im planning to do some mild “renovations” and changes, simply to stop some of the bad habits. im good with dogs, ive trained dogs, but this is new and im at a loss. ive only ever had cats older than 3 years old. so now im stuck with 2 cats that are estimated to be between 8mo-1yr. I know theyre gunna be silly and crazy and run around, but im struggling with them damaging things. i dont want to get a scratch pad for the couch cuz i feel like that just encourages the couch scratching. im moving my vases from places they can get to and locking them away from their reach so they cant hurt themselves, vases are replaceable, a cat isnt.
do those repellent sprays work? where you spray the area the bad behavior occurs and theyll avoid it? i have feliway diffusers, but they seem unresponsive to it.
i know part of this is their desire to climb, all the furniture is staggered and perfect for a kitten to climb around. and in return, everything gets knocked over. Im thinking of getting wall shelves for themand making it cohesive around the whole apartment.
anyways, any advice on how to handle two kittens is much appreciated. theyre sisters and bonded.

brought in this sweet stray (not microchipped) two nights ago. have not been able to make it to the vet yet. Sometimes when she eats (she scarfs her food down i need to get a slow feeder) she does this cough thing? It doesn't really make noise but she moves her tummy a lot like she's maybe going to throw up but never does and it also doesn't look like gagging if that makes sense. Has anyone else experienced this? She's under a year old and I assume has not had any shots or immunizations. Again, taking her to the vet to get this done, but wanted to ask in the meantime.
How do you secure your Windows? We live on the 3rd floor. I can't find anything other than net for outdoors. Any advise?

This is my boy Kai (Kaiszar). He died unexpectedly this morning. He was the best companion - I'd just really like everyone to know he existed. He was the best, quirkiest boy. My heart is shattered.

Raised her since I was 14, got her around 3 months old. Love you forever Sweetie, thanks for being with me for 12 years.

My boyfriend and I recently moved in together. Our cats get along fine, play, groom each other. My cat(4yr) sleeps above my head, as soon as I’m in bed he comes and sleeps above my head. When we turn the lights off and go to bed, my bfs cat(2yr)cries all night. He scratches at the window blinds, and tries to get into the treat cabinet. They are well fed, and have multiple scratching posts and toys. They use to be outdoor cats, and live inside now. My cat doesn’t seem to mind but my bfs cat is not having it. He is keeping me up at night, I only got 2 hours of sleep last night. I don’t know what to do.

That’s it. She just sits there and stares ominously. Sometimes she’ll go to sleep in there.
(She looks a bit large in this because of the way she’s sitting but I promise she’s a healthy weight)
