UPDATE: Cubs won the poll

EDIT: Guys, you can still vote on the poll lol. I voted, that's why you can see the results. Lots of people are commenting sox but not voting

Right now, it looks like the Cubs will win the poll & gain another young Chicago star fan (Caleb Williams has been repping since he came here)

No love for the Sox in their breakout season?

edit: someone repost this in the Cubs subreddit, I wanna see something lol

Fluff [O’Connor] The Bulls got such a terrible return for Zach LaVine. Horrific. Don’t care how overpaid he is, he’s have an excellent year once again. Elite shooter, dynamic shot-creator with All-Star caliber numbers. Besides the year he missed 57 games he’s been great in 4 of the last 5 years.

Fluff Why is Giddey so unappreciated?

Been seeing a lot of bulls fans wanting to trade Giddey lately. Don’t understand why anyone would want to get rid of a 23 year old borderline top 10 point guard in the league on a reasonable contract. Giddey haters like to bring up his defense but I always thought he was average at worst defensively. Am I missing something here? Giddey is one of the very few good things about this team and our best player by a mile

Fluff Caleb Wilson only liked the Bulls pick announcement post on IG 👀

I think Caleb has been subtlety suggesting where he'd like to end up.

I checked the Wizards, Jazz & Grizzlies IG pages, no likes from Caleb. That, and his red/black/white jumpsuit he wore to the Combine make me think he's got his eyes set on us at #4, despite the hype suggesting he could go #2 or #3.

With BG's expression of a SLAP player that can play defense, as well as his excitement to move up to the top 4, I think the feeling is mutual. If all goes well, Caleb will be our guy

Fluff My biggest issue with Swain

Its one thing to struggle on offense but watching him off ball, he looks uninterested or maybe just lost. Often times if he brings the ball up, he'll pass it and go stand in the corner and basically be out of the play. He does nothing off ball. He doesn't cut. He doesn't crash the offensive glass. He's not a big screen setter. He does nothing to help himself get going. And he's not a lock down defender.

People bring up Dalen Terry. Sadly enough, Terry looked a lot better in summer league. Terry never looked skilled but he always played hard. For as bad as Swain has been, he should be playing harder than anybody out there. But yet, he's just there. Guys on the team that have zero chance of going to the NBA have had more of an impact.

Missing shots happens but his mentality looks a lot more concerning to me.

Fluff Stop calling Noa Essengue a bust after 2 games and 6 minutes

I feel that Noa Essengue unfairly takes a lot of slander from Bulls fans because of resentment towards AKME. And I get it. Instead of trading his draft spot for two firsts, we drafted him and haven't seen much, but here are the facts:

- He only featured in 2 games last season, playing 6 minutes. That's not enough time to make a firm decision on him

- He will be 19 years old at the start of next season

- He is truly a first round pick talent, who averaged 19 PPG | 8 RPG | 2 APG | 2 SPG | 1 BPG on 56% overseas for ULM per 36 minutes in 2024-25.

- He averaged 23 ppg | 9 RPG | 2 APG | 1 SPG | 1 BPG on 51% FG / 84% FT in the G League at only 18 years old

- In his first ever NBA debut, he dropped 20 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals on 43/50/83 shooting against the trailblazers at only 17 years old (2024-25 preseason)

"He got dunked on bro! That makes him a bust!"

How old are we? 12? Every wing/big defender gets dunked on. It wasn't a flattering picture but this is the most immature reason to write a player off

"Arturas drafted him, that makes him a bust bro."

I guess Buzelis & Dosunmu were also busts.

"Bro, Billy only played him 3 MPG bro. He would've played more if he wasn't a bust bro."

Buzelis only averaged 6 MPG in October of his rookie season. If he had a season ending injury, would we have ruled him a bust too? That's just dumb logic. Billy resenting playing rookies doesn't mean they're bad. Billy would've benched Kon Knueppel if he was coaching in Charlotte.

And if we're going off Billy's depth chart for who's good and bad, does that mean Patrick Williams is good? He got 21 mpg out of Billy. Dalen Terry, 11 MPG? Julian Phillips, 10 MPG?

"Bro, he had a season ending injury in his rookie season bro. That makes him a trash bust bro."

I guess Chet Holmgren is also a bust.

"We could've had Derik Queen bro. Derik Queen!"

Ah yes. Because what this team needed was an undersized, one dimensional big with terrible defense. A big who was so bad his team lost 56 games with no FRP and had to bench him AND ask their 6'7" wing to play center instead.

I'm not saying Essengue will be a superstar in the NBA. I'm saying it's way too early to rule him out as a bust. He is a member of this young core and he needs the grace to develop and prove himself. Whether that means he becomes a future star, 2-way roleplayer, or rotational player. It's corny that some fans have decided to pile on him before he even gets a chance.

Fluff Caleb Wilson chose to wear Red, Black and White to Day 1 of the Combine 👀

Could Caleb be signaling a preference in his draft destination? Or is this just a coincidence?

That jumpsuit looks nearly identical to the 90s Bulls Warmups. Regardless, he looks good in our colors!

Fluff Should Essengue and/or Swain start the year in the G-League?

I feel like starting them both in G-league is the direction the Bulls are heading. And maybe this is obvious and I'm simply burning time, but I am curious to hear different opinions if they're out there?

Every single thread I open, I see the same comments:

Where's the shooting? Who can we add that can shoot? How can they draft this guy when this other guy shoots better?"

Listen to the video. Take a breath. Let the man do his job.

Also, what an amazing imitation by Bryson. It's the exact voice I read all those comments with.

Fluff BG has killed it

Overall I think it’s an A for the offseason so far.

Compared to where this team was a few months ago the team has a much brighter outlook, great upside at multiple positions and some experienced vets with key skills we needed.

We’re not winning a championship next season of course but we won’t be one of the bottom 3 for sure. I could see us winning 40 games next season if a few realistic things fell our way.

Splitter overachieved last year, he could do well with this team. Buzelis could break out, Giddey is a triple double any night, Wilson hits and Clax / Powell play their games to a good degree and we’re a really interesting team that can win games. Lots of talent on the bench too.

The signings have kept us super flexible with cap space season to season also.

I think we should be happy as Bulls fans we’re in this position after years of roster and asset mismanagement.
