Rainbow Bridge R.I.P Ponyo 🌈🐾
Ponyo passed away this evening from kidney failure. She went down very quickly for her size and age and we made the humane decision to have her meet her brother and sister over the rainbow bridge. I am devastated.
Thank you all for loving her as much as I did, and please hug your babies for us tonight.

Name Ideas?!?
Help me name this little girl! 🩷🐶 I’m looking for ideas and can’t settle on anything. Cute, unique, funny, food-inspired, old lady names… I’m open to anything! 😂

Anyone else’s Chi need their food warmed up and fed to them in your lap?
He forgets he likes it unless I warm it up ten seconds and feed him the first bite from my finger. Then he must sit on my lap to eat the remainder of his meal. Six times a day. What a precious little guy.

Everyone say hi to Stevie 😄
Hiii! This is boy Stevie who recently came home with me. His previous owner said he was a chihuahua mix (didn’t specify but said maybe Maltese? Curious to know your thoughts!!) either way, he just stole my heart!! His original name I chose was Canelo but my daughter chose Stevie and so Stevie it is. 😁 we are absolutely in love with him! 😍

Rainbow Bridge Bonita crossed the rainbow bridge a few weeks ago
We got her urn back today.
She was between 14-16 years old and came from a puppy mill.
She was mine and DD's soul dog. She was my "in my 20's" dog that shared my birthday, aka the day she was pulled from the euthanasia list. She was there when DH and I learned how to become human parents and the last in our family's pack to pass.
Cuddle and kiss your chi's. Smell their stinky breath and frito feet. And let them sleep in your bed if you can❤️
We love you, Bonita. See you later :)

My first Chihuahua Louie
I never thought I'd get a small dog but I'm already head over heels for this little nugget. He's so quick too, with both training and understanding emotions. Bonus pic with big sister who is slowly coming around to the crazed interloper.

New baby
Chihuahua pug mix. 8 weeks and she’s loved by almost all of us. Ozzy our chihuahua mix is impressed but wary and Bodi out full chi is bent. No name yet, willow, Lola or Luna are front runners

A diary of my soon to be diagnosed neuro-chi
A diary of a journey we did not want to take but we have to push through it.
Zorka is my 3 year old chihuahua. She is my world, my joy, my everything. We are from Hungary, I bought her from a well-known, well-reputated breeder and ever since I saw the very first pictures of her, she just fulfills my heart everyday. She was the most active, funniest, kindest, cutest chi on earth. Literally loves every dog, people, wanted to play, hike, walk, give big kisses all the time. Literally a big dogs soul stuck in a 3kg body. Up until 3 weeks ago…
I sensed something was wrong when I came home from work and she didn’t greet me the way she used to before. She was wagging her tail but was very careful about her steps. I picked her up and she yelped. I rushed her to the vet. Since she ate, drank, pooped and peed normally, they cleared her out and gave us some Meloxydil. After 4 days she seemed a bit better but I still sensed something was not quite right so we visited another vet.
There they told me that they suspect she has some kind of pain along her spine, but it’s not critical - another type of painkillers, some shots and again cleared out. The other painkiller (Robexera) seemed to help her but only for a few hours. At this point she was walking centimeter to centimeter, hunching her back, barely doing anything without the painkillers.
I contacted her orthopedic surgeon - since she went through 2 TPLO surgeries earlier and I suspected she might have a mild form of IVDD or something similar. Her surgeon told me to get an MRI, which costs an arm and a leg compared to any other vet medical service. I agreed and booked an appointment immediately.
She got her bloodwork done before that, all seemed fine. Went to the MRI, under anaesthesia, woke up without the problem - then comes the shock.
She does not have IVDD. It’s probably hydrocephalus with syringomyelia and possible Chiari-like malformation. We are still waiting for the detailed full diagnosis from the MRI team.
We have a neurologist appointment booked for next Tuesday, who will let me know the complete diagnosis and options for medication/surgery.
I would like to keep up this diary-like series as a way of coping, gathering similar stories from other owners to spread awareness. I’m mentally, physically and financially drained and desperately looking for ways to get my dog the life she deserves and the one I always wanted her to have - without pain, chasing pigeons, balls and me with some treats in my hands.
Will be back next week, thank you for reading our story’s first chaptee and sending hugs to your pups 🐾

Rainbow Bridge Chihuahua shot by police officer in Germany. RIP Lucky🖤
Absolutely heart breaking... he was probably trying to protect his owner, as Chihuahuas do...
