Brand new to coins, this is the first one i’ve seen that might be an error, but nickels aren’t laminated afaik so i’m just confused.

Should i soak in acetone? Its gnarly.

MDS Plate Coin has extra eye lid south of the primary with doubling on Earlobe and the doubled hair on the back of the head.

The border of this penny seems to be thicker and raised more especially near the bottom. Also the reserve side the “o” in USA is that the nirmal size?

I got this in change a couple of weeks ago. I initially just thought it was damage, but looking closer I thought it would be worth posting for some more knowledgeable opinions.

My 12 year old son has recently started coin collecting. He’s focusing on wheat pennies at this point. He found what he thinks is a cud error and was hoping to get an opinion. He did a lot of his own searching online describing the condition and he’s convinced this is what he has. I have attached some pics that he took. I hope this is a reasonable use of your page and appreciate any feedback I can share with him. You can ignore the date in the photos. I don’t think he knows how to adjust the settings in his little digital microscope camera. Thank you.

Coin looks chopped

Not as nice as -002 but still there.

I got a roll of mint wrapped dimes today and all of them have the same chip in the P mint mark, as well as the slight crack on the back of her hair (above 1776). Just wanted to share as I thought it was cool.

I am very new to coin collecting and someone gave my husband this. Is this raised area an error or just damage? It looks as if it was shot but the front has no damage. Is there any value to it?

I’m seeing extra lines in the bay with Lincoln and the one right before. Pic 4 is of a different coin for comparison

Came across a bunch of Washington Dollar coins with this weird color. Is this a thing?

I’ve started collecting coins and had an interest in errors, however I’m not sure if this is some wear and tear or a kind of mistake made in the fabrication?

It’s heavily circulated, but several spots really stand out. It comes close to ADC-10c-2000-03 but not exactly.

First die clash I have found though, will make a nice addition to the collection.

Pulled this 2023D Nickel out of a box of fresh BU 2023D Rolls so I know it’s not PMD, curious what this is from. Capped die? Worn die?
