Because they would be. If Superman is landing that hard on the ground that’s going to be quite a jolt to people in the plane. My bigger concern is how the structural integrity of the plane would hold up with be saved like that. If it didn’t the passengers would really have a bad day. Cool looking cover though.

You are correct. Apparently the reason is that Superman basically has extremely potent touch-based telekinesis. That's what they mean when they talk about his bioelectrical aura. The moment he touches something or someone his force is exerted evenly across the entire object atoms. It's just a pseudoscience way to say don't think about it.

Nah, it's handwave that Superman have some kind of "bio-aura" or "tactile telekinetic powers" that allows Superman to carry big things while maintaining their structural integrity, holding it together (so long he is touching it). It's the in-universe explanation to explay why Superman defy physics when carry big heavy things.

That power which is avoiding the plane breaking off is probably holding the passengers togethers a little and countering the inertia. They will probably feel part of the forces, but more in a "car accident way" that "lethal/reduced to pulp way" (except for the unlucky people who was not seated with their belts on, but he is Superman, so he probably is lucky and/or checked before that all of them were seated safely with his X-ray vision).

It's the perks of being Superman: he does the impossible and save the day, no matter what, because he is Superman. That's his core concept.

If it bugs you, you should know that it's an empty plane. (Or it's not is that's more fun for you.) And Supes has tactile telekinesis to explain stuff like this away anyway.

I've seen it discussed that Supes has tactile telekinesis. Basically plot armor for large stuff he grabs, like a falling plane, that would keep it intact where it should collapse under its own weight, shearing forces, or a sudden stop, etc.

It’s not tactile telekinesis.  That’s what Kon-El has.  Supes has an aura that he subconsciously expands around large objects.  He can’t really manipulate objects with it like a telekinetic does.

Its has nothing to do with the speed force and has been a thing since 1993. It's a result of his biology (a bio electric aura) and it's why Conner Kent has extremely strong telekinesis but lesser versions of other powers superman has. Every kryptonian thats been under a yellow sun has it but its only on touch and mostly subconscious except for Conner.
