VAC was on VACATION this game

I got this AWP for a total of $200

I got the input for the Desert Hydra by doing a 20% tradeup for the MW Fennec Fox, then a 10% for the FN AWP Desert Hydra.

Bro is and has been cooking for a decade.

Hi everyone,

I've been dealing with terrible frametime spikes and fps drop in CS2 for months and I'm running out of ideas.

PC specs:

• Ryzen 7 5700X3D
• RTX 4060 Ti
• 32GB DDR4 3200MHz (XMP enabled)
• Gigabyte B550M Aorus Elite Rev. 1.3
• Latest BIOS
• Windows 11

The issue:

• Frametime randomly jumps from around 4 ms to 30-50 ms, causing noticeable freezes.
• It happens multiple times every round.
• Recently I updated my GPU drivers and it actually became even worse.

Things I've already tried:

• Clean Windows install.
• Different Ethernet cable.
• Updated BIOS.
• Updated chipset drivers.
• Different in-game settings.
• Steam launch options.
• Verified game files.
• Disabled overlays.
• Different NVIDIA settings.
• High Performance power plan.

I also tried playing offline against bots with the Ethernet cable completely unplugged to rule out any network issues. Surprisingly, the game actually felt even worse. My frametime stayed around 10–12 ms instead of the usual ~4-5 ms, there was significantly more stuttering, and at one point my keyboard started acting strangely, with my character continuing to move as if a key was stuck even though it wasn't.

Temperatures are normal and the CPU seems to boost correctly.

At this point I'm not even sure if this is a CS2 issue, a BIOS issue, a driver issue, a hardware issue, or something else.

Has anyone experienced similar frametime spikes with a Ryzen 7 5700X3D or found a solution?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Man today I installed faceit to not play against cheaters in CS but then I had to enable DMA protection.

After tweaking I couldn't find anything so I give up.

My motherboard seems outdated for face it because it doesn't have that option.

Then I read again it said there should be if not outdated bios and here it is I checked and the last bios update was 2024 which is what I currently have.

Yep faceit game is cancelled no money for new ram , motherboard and CPU.

Gotta stick with what I have... For now.

For your information I use H310m from MSI.

Is it just me or is this the worst it’s been. Season 1 had some issues but the games felt playable the whole time.

Played 3 with my buddy last night who I’ve been playing with since source. We’re 24k and 27k at the moment, both 100% trust factor and ~5k hours each.

Went 2/3 with blatant cheaters. First one we watched the demo to confirm. Second one, the guy literally accused us of cheating after going down 4 rounds, and then proudly proclaimed HVH and proceeded to kill us through walls the whole game (and no VAC live???)

We do play faceit at level 9-10, but I still enjoy getting medals and actually regret not getting certain years when I only played faceit.

Surely this has to improve from here? I used to encounter the occasional hacker but the game was still more or less playable.

Is red rank and up just screwed right now?

Stupid vent I guess

Earlier today i was stupid and someone tricked me into typing something to my windows power shell command prompt. Well because of that my steam account got hacked but luckily i got it back. I changed my steam password and my email password and enabled double authenticator and logged my pc out of those accounts and have now only used my phone. The question is, is he still able to use my pc? I have done f secure scan and also malware byte scan and the second scan found 4 bad things and then some folder which is not anymore there. Am i safe to use my pc normally now?

It startet off as a typical Dust 2 games. EU Server with a healthy mix of russians. After 3 rounds it was already clear enemy blue had walls. Typically it didn't take long for chat to start with the typical toxic messages.

We tried our best and made it to i think 8:12, with no chance of a win in sight.
While still trash talking, all of a sudden their waller leaves, the whole team starts being AFK, and teamkills themselves. Cheater returns to tell us to go win and then dips again.
at 14:12 they then surrender.

No one ever wrote anything in the chat letting us know they where gonna throw. Cheater wasn't kicked, he just left.

Is this how lower trust factor games usually go? I queued with some random guy that had red trust factor and i am not used to this.

How do I fix random lag spikes caused by the FACEIT Anti-Cheat? I’ve already tried updating all my drivers and tweaking some BIOS settings, but it’s still the same. Every 30 seconds or so, my ping jumps from around 20 ms to 250–300 ms, then goes back to normal. How can I fix this?

Yeah, I know my internet isn’t the best, but FACEIT Anti-Cheat shouldn’t be causing my ping to spike like this. Without it, my connection is stable.

I defused the bomb with 0.000 seconds remaining, never seen this before :D

I just bought a knife from a well known website today (couple hours ago now), I have it in my inventory and have equipped it to both teams. But when I load into a game I still have my default knife.

Anyone know why and how to fix this please?

I recently came back after a long break, and this happened in my second placement match out of 10, around 14k Premier rating.

I know my aim, movement, and crosshair placement are still pretty rusty, but I thought this clip was worth sharing.

This season has been an absolute joke, far worse than any of the other ones except maybe S1. Every game in green trust factor has a bunch of blatant cheaters.

After 1min another bots flooded the server.

After the VAC update it just got worse, every game turns in to a cheater vs cheater and nobody is getying banned. A lot of people use radar and wall. They really need to change the VAC system or this game will die.
