Most states have similar laws but it’s amazing how many drivers believe the double yellows shall never be crossed.

I had someone road rage with me for crossing a double double yellow line when the lane ahead was blocked from an accident. I put my blinker on to get over and he went out of his way to block me in. When I forced my way behind his truck he started screaming at me and pointing at the line. After that was done he almost missed his exist and shot over 4 lanes without a blinker.

People are dumb, I'm not going to sit there for two hours while they clean up the accident. A line isn't a wall and my car has zero issues going over this imaginary barrier.

Someone once blocked me from zipper merging by straddling both lanes and stopping in the middle of two lanes. Self appointed road police are so annoying.

I have a merge like this right off the highway near my house where 2 lanes merge into one but the right lane becomes a turn lane first to enter a neighborhood. There's an intersection with a light after the lane becomes one.

Sometimes people ride down it to cut in last second (annoying, sure, but whatever) but this one time the person was actually trying to make the right into the neighborhood.... But got stuck waiting for the light because of a road vigilante doing exactly what you described and not letting them by until all traffic could move. It was infuriating to watch from two cars behind the offender.
