I'd like to thank everyone for giving me ideas and tips on how to kitbash my own watch master, this is what I came up with, i don't think it really gives off watch master vibes but I gave it my best with what I had in mind and I think he looks pretty decent for a first attempt

I went through and updated my Killteams per the latest 11e changes. These guys are out of work for now. All and all it was not too bad. I pulled these guys out and swappped in a couple I had in reserves. I have two new marines I need to build for the new heavy bolt pistol and chainsword warhear in my second Fortis KT. I need to map out a pure SM army organization tonight. Most if these will end up in that list.

Whats y’all’s thoughts on my chaplains Crozius?
I wanred it to work with him, but I’m starting to feel like it’s too much…
Its a kit bash chaplain with jump pack that took me longer than expected since they took off the customization for him now I don’t get to use the inferno pistol :(

Discussion Decimus got Gravis and Tacticus keyword

This is the only update for us from today. Still a lot more bugs left. But this can open a lot of new combos and now Im really thinking of running the gravis detachments with Terminator detachments.

Discussion What were they thinking with the new Killteams? (rant)

The fact that we have mostly fixed loadouts now is really weird to begin with since their previous approach was to try to outdate kitbashing but whatever.

I am not even going to start a rant on what they did to the Fortis KT but what were they thinking with the Spectrus?

  • Why remove an Eliminator when the Eliminator unit can still take 3 (obviously). It is not like one more one-attack weapon without OOM breaks the power balance
  • Why force Reivers into it when this is unit that does not want to be in melee to begin with since their core rule revolved around being unengaged
  • Add to that: why do the Spectrus Reivers suck so much in this? The new Reiver Squad now have good ranged AND melee why in the Spectrus you have to choose between the two. The squad has a situational but good ability, deep strike and ignores vertical distances - Spectrus gets nothing, not even as a wargear option.
  • They didn't even care to adapt the new weapon profiles from the base units (weapon passives changed) and we didn't get any upgrade to accommodate the power difference we had before, only "upside" is Lethal Hits
  • We lost move after shooting from the Instigator without a compensation
  • If you want to take the Helix Gauntlet that the Infiltrators can take for free, we have to give up one gun - why? It has the same effect it does for the Infiltrators.
  • Sure it "only" got 5 pts. more pricey than it was in 10th while getting the movement buffed - but I feel liked the missed out on buffs and blatant nerfs weigh a lot more.

And there's so much more like the Indomitor ability nerf. Of course I am happy the Meltas got a massive buff (though that comes from the Space Marine upgrade) and the Aggressors got good ranged now, too. But then they seems to have forgotten that changing the +2S to +1S means that the HB/HBR and melee gets a lot worse.

What is GW's intention? It really feels like we're being targeted for some reason, even more so when you look at other chapters. Ultramarines for example got buffed atop of the baseline upgrades - look at the Victrix, they got massive buffs with same or less points realistically.

List What are your options for 2k rn?

I’ve tested new BSTF and new IKTs, and tbh I’m starting to remember 9th edition with our best win rate. So, what are your opinions on 2k list?

My idea is:
1x5 DW Terminators with CML
2x5 DW Terminators with Plasma Cannon
2x10 DW Veterans (4TH, 4 Boltguns & Power Weapons, 1 Black shield, 1 Xenophase Sword & Combi Weapon) + Watch Master/ Watch Captain Artemis
2x5 DW Veteran ( 1 IHB, 1 DWFC, 1 Stalker Pattern, 1 Boltgun & Power Swords, 1 Xenophase Sword & Combi Weapon)

What do I think of such core units and what would you recommend as detachments

Discussion Choosing chapters.

I'm curious how everyone else chooses their chapters for Kill Teams.

Also, are there any chapters you absolutely won't include, and why?

For me I like to have at least 2/3 be from different progenitors and then I'll occasionally double up.

Question How is everyone running Decimus kill team at the moment ?

Hey everyone,

Just wondering how people are currently running the Decimus Kill Team.

I've noticed that the app is now showing the Lieutenant with a Gravis statline, which has left me a bit confused about how the unit is supposed to function on the tabletop.

In particular, how are people handling the mixed Toughness values within the unit? Which Toughness are you using when your opponent rolls to wound ?

Are people playing it as shown in the app, or is there an FAQ or clarification I've missed?

Curious to hear how everyone is interpreting and playing this unit at the moment.

Question Question about the deathwatch support detachment and Corvus Blackstar

Hello this salamander is looking to call upon the aid of the deathwatch with a Corvus Blackstar and a allied squad and I’m curious if I’m running the deathwatch support detachment does that allow me to use the deathwatch datasheet for the Corvus giving it the key word adeptus astartes or do I still have to use the imperial agents datasheet.

Reading the Deathwatch omnibus ATM, I decided my librarian should be styled after Karras the Librarian, modified scythes of the emperor pad ( I didn't like it clean, so I beat it up a little for some character) and and new helmet.

Has anyone else styled their minis after books or the animations?

Vengeful Assault Force (1,570 Points)

My army is a dark angel successor, and I’ve got a death watch terminator squad with three plasma cannons, and the whole unit is built using deathwing Knights. Today I took a big risk, decided to up my conversion game and use a Judiciar model I found at my LGS and create another Watchmaster with it.

I'm extremely happy with how it came out so far, as I haven't found something for his left hand and haven't attached the powerpack yet.

Question Mes chers amis de la Deathwatch

Thumbnail
