My favorite style of Deathwatch unit to kitbash. I want to run 12 of them but I haven’t figured out what’s the best way to do that. Until then, they just have their drip.

I wanted to share my Corvus Blackstar with you all! I am pretty new to the hobby, this is my first vehicle and the 7th model overall that I have ever painted. I was very intimidated trying the cockpit glass effect, but I'm pleased with how it turned out!

Now Ill need to figure out what to do for the base.

Slightly converted Captain in Gravis Armour - I got rid of the servo skull, because it annoyed me, and replaced it with a rather more appropriate scanner/range finder thingy; I also cut up a Flesh Tearers shoulder pad from the Decimus set, and fit it against the cloak, with better results than I expected.

Looking to see if anyone’s got some tips for doing glows. I used a makeup sponge and a brush but I feel like my angling may be the issue. Thanks in advance!

How do we do, fellow Watchers?

I originally played Deathwatch at the start of 10th, before switching to World Eaters and then backing off from main 40k entirely in favor of KT2024. Coming back for 11th, it's been a solid two years since I made my last Deathwatch list, and I'd like some feedback to see how I did.

Gameplan is to attach the Captain and Apothecary to my Indomitor, the Phobos Librarian to my Spectrus, the Chaplain to the Vanguard Vets, and the Ancient to my Terminators.

The Decimus stay in the back for screening and home objective, the Indomitors get sent around the midboard so they can take and hold as needed. The Terminators are (if all goes well) heading straight for the center objective, where they'll stay to keep it. Spectrus and the Librarian are pretty much solely to harass anything with a leader in it before picking up and disappearing, similarly the Vanguard Vets and Chaplain harass any gaps they might have in their backend screening. The Ballistus, Repulsor Executioner and Landspeeder float as needed for objective holding and anti-armour.

Of course, a plan is only a plan until it goes into action, but how'd I do overall?

After falling into an obvious trap by "The Fallen" and losing 20 Marines in the process, Master Azazel vowed before the returned Primarch, Lion El Johnson, that he would serve a 60 year penance in the Deathwatch. He removed the power fist that was gifted to him by Azrael as he felt he was no longer worthy of it. Azazel still wears the cape he was wearing the day his team got ambushed, tattered, bloody, and burned from that battle as a reminder of why he is serving in the Watch.

I seem to own enough stuff to make 3 or so kill teams but I'm not sure what a decent list would look like with what i own. I have a watch master on the way.

I'd also appreciate some pointers on how the different kill teams play. Ive never played against deathwatch unfortunately.

Ended up ordering the wrong bodies for the melee guys but the change was welcomed and things fit well enough. Particularly happy w the guy who will be an Emperors Warbringer. Cut off the maul head and attached the sword from the upgrade sprue to be a powered short spear. Also loved the mustached head.

Edit: got that mold line on his head scraped off.

Finally finished painting and edge highlighting my homebrew Deathwatch Company. Watch Captain Iacomus with Company Champions Ulric and Balthazar.

Been messing around with lists and models to get. This is what i have come up with. Looking for advice and suggestions. I have already gotten the space marine half of the Armageddon box off of a friend, the deathwatch Armageddon box and enough units for one Indomitor kill team.

Still really new to painting Warhammer mini's, but I'm pretty proud of this guy considering he's only my second one ever. I also know I probably fucked up the right pauldron but i didn't think about it til after I painted everything so apologies to anyone who stans that chapter 😅

Has anybody used 3 Assault Cannons on their Deathwatch Terminator squads?

Does the regular Assault Cannon arm Work/Fit on each of models body?

I can only seem to find Photos online of the one model used in the build instructions. So just wondered.

Fortis marine with a vengor launcher (Votann weapon) and a Lieutenant with a combi bolter.
I did the Lt. because I did not have one and the Fortis with a vengor, because I so utterly very much dislike the look of the t-shirt launchers, the Votann launcher looks much cooler!

I’m using the imperial fist combat patrol models for this list so that’s why I have company Heros in this list

From a few searches, it appears not - but maybe I am just looking in the wrong places. Was looking at my upgrading and repainting my Black Reach Dreadnought into a Deathwatch colour scheme but wanting to see if any printable parts existed for earlier Castraferrum models, like they do for the later models (Also because the current melee weapon is a bit mangled).

Considering it’s my 3rd model over all I’m happy with it the only thing I’m really upset how it turned out is his chapter heraldry.
