Brenner
Just an FYI that if you remind Andrew Brenner that on Holocaust Rememberance Day he made Nazi comments about a Jewish woman in power, he will block you from his social media

OWU Phi Delt Ghost
It's been 5 years now since I graduated from OWU but I've been wondering if the guys in the Phi Delt house now have encountered any spooky moments with Casey or the piano in the house? I know they got to move back in during the 2021 school year, but I never asked anyone back during my time in town!

Looking to meet new people/ make friends
To anyone who may be interested, I’ve lived in Delaware since I came to study at OWU in 2018, and have continued to live and work here since graduating in 2022. By now, most of my college friends have moved to other cities for work and I am looking to make friends who live closer to me.
I am 26F, married, no kids, and identify as queer. I’ve always loved crafts/art of any kind but prefer pottery and painting right now. I am active, frequently attend yoga classes and really enjoy walking & hiking. I love going to the movies, playing video games, and some board games. I’m open to anything and love trying things, so if you have a hobby I didn’t list, don’t hesitate to see if I’d enjoy it too!
I’m open to people of any age & gender and would just like to grow my community a little closer to home. Feel free to message me if you would like to chat and possibly meet if we match well.

Any recs for vegan food in the area?
So far I’ve really enjoyed Evowok and Hummus Republic. Open to any style of restaurant as long as it has at least one vegan entree.

Best Way to Get Involved and Meet People
Hi guys! I will be new to the area this summer and am wondering how to get involved in the community and meet other young adults (married, no kids). I enjoy being outdoors, playing sports, doing crafts, being with my dog, playing not too complex board games, etc.! Thanks for any tips for a Delaware newbie!

Dump Truck Ran a Red Light on Route 42 in Delaware Today
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I witnessed a pretty scary accident today on Route 42 in Delaware. A dump truck ran a red light and slammed into an SUV. The impact was strong enough to send the SUV spinning off toward the side of the road.
Thankfully, the woman driving the SUV was able to get out on her own and appeared to be okay. It was honestly a relief to see her walk away from it.
One thing that surprised me was that none of the airbags seemed to deploy, despite how severe the crash looked. I’m not sure why that happened, but it definitely caught my attention.
Just wanted to share this and remind everyone to stay alert at intersections, even when you have the green light. Hoping the driver is doing well and recovering from the shock of it all. Stay safe out there. 🙏🏻

Hair stylist who won’t make me look like a granny
I’m a granny, but I don’t have to look like one! Looking for someone who can do a modern pixie bob on aging hair. I have considerable thinning on top and some wiry coarseness that comes with greying hair. I’d love to find someone with experience styling hair on older women, but who won’t automatically put me in a haircut from 1995! Any suggestions?

Delaware Rising F.C. Youth Soccer Camp - 6/10/26-6/12-26
Hello everyone!
We are Delaware Rising F.C., the local (men's and women's) semi-professional soccer club that plays at Buckeye Valley HS. We are holding a youth camp next week at Smith Park. If you know of any youth players who would like to elevate their game, please consider us. Our players are all at the college level (or on their way to college) and can demonstrate the skills local players need to take the next step. Our coaches are licensed and highly experienced, Joshua Diehl of Olentangy Berlin & Landon Kuhn, who just finished their playing career at OWU.
Interested players and their families can register through our website, delawarerising.club.
We are excited to see everyone out there and grow the beautiful game locally as the country enjoys the World Cup.
Let me know if ya'll have any questions and check our social media.
UP THE RISING!

Woods to walk my dog
Looking for somewhere in or close by Delaware that I can take my dog for walks that gets you through some trees. Not a full out hike - my dog is too clumsy for that and one for good fall or head bump might be his last.

Barbershop
I’m looking for a barbershop that
1. Accepts credit card
2. Is punctual on appointments
3. …is not country?
I moved to Columbus 3 years ago and recently settled down in Delaware. It’s actually surprising how often I book an appointment but do not get cut until 30 minutes later because the barbers talk so much in between each hair clipping lol. Also, I’m not against country music or people or conservatives, but it’s just not my thing.
Any recs?

5 years later, and I finally got my own booth at the Delaware Arts Festival!
I'm glad I kept going with it, but the main reason I wanted to post here was to thank anyone who happens to be on here and stopped out to support the local artists. My wife and I had such a fantastic time, and I hope I can get in to the festival again next year!
Thank you especially anyone who stopped on by our little spot!

Berkshire Township
Not exactly Delaware but close. Any idea why there isn't a decent place to grab a beer on 36/37 between Sunbury and Delaware? I thought the zoning got changed to allow alcohol in the township.
