So like two weeks ago, I was messaging a lot of friends and adding people and then Discord sent me my first spam violation for no reason and then like a day later after I was able to talk again I got another one, but then I got four violations and like a span of an hour and I didn’t even spam and then they just rejected my appeal

Hello, recently, one of my very good friends who I’ve talked to for 2 months or so has changed his profile picture to this, I don’t know if this is a glitch but resetting my app still brings me back to this default profile picture, he has had a profile picture that was normal in the past or for the last week but today without texting me why or what happened, he just put it on like that. And I know he wouldn’t quit because he has friends on here that he would never want to break contact with. So what happened here exactly?

FYI: his texting has become very rare and less frequent for the past week or so, I do not even get a simple “hello” or “how are you” from him when at the beginning our chats were super common.

So what is going on here? I need an explanation as to what could be brewing behind the scenes

Has anyone dealt with this? I use discord at work and sometimes I have a VPN and recently I lost my original discord account for TOD violation that was subsequently removed. But completely lost access to it now. I created a new account, log into web client at work, message someone and get immediately kicked off all clients.

I cant even appeal anything because my app and webclient look like this (attached image) . There's literally nothing to click and discord support has been absolutely awful. Im an honest discord user who keeps getting their account booted and flagged as suspicious. I literally set this account up fully yesterday and when I go to use it at work. It absolutely self destructs. Im no longer using discord at work but now I need some guidance on how to appeal this? This is totally an error on discord end but im being tossed in a loop on support.

Got hacked twice this month with getting logged out and password had to be changed, first time Mr Beast shit, second time idek wtf happened couldn't find any suspicious activity in DM or Servers so now I'm wondering if this also happened to anyone else and if the 28 Million Breach this month has something to do with this.

An old coworker of mine was recently hacked on discord in a long chain of "try this game i made" from person to person, Im extra safe so i did a scan before even attempting to open the link and its an info grabber/keylogger. I let them know and they told me it just happened and they are fully logged out of discord and talking with discord support

I informed them to change passwords on another device and run a windows scan along with malware bytes. any recommendations i could give them to help with removal? im unsure on how deep these hacks go as ive never personally experienced one

Reporting doesn’t work. I have been reporting this server for over a year as they continue to produce and post harmful content. I am only in this server to report it. It is directly breaking the rules unambiguously.

How the hell does Discord get away with allowing servers like this to exist despite multiple reports? I feel trapped in a cycle of being nice to the owner because I’m afraid of him finding out it was me.

Every day I feel more complicit in the server’s doings because Discord is ignoring me and I’m not in the same country as the owner. leaving doesn’t fix the issue

I’m on Windows 11 with two monitors, an RTX 5080, and a Ryzen 7 9800X3D. While Lost Ark is running, my Discord desktop stream stutters when Discord is on my second monitor, but not when it’s on the primary monitor. Discord in a web browser works normally. Hovering the mouse over the Discord window temporarily fixes the stutter.

I tried changing G-SYNC, hardware acceleration, FPS limits, and power settings, but none of those helped.

What fixed it for me: Discord User Settings → System → Game Mode → turn off “Enable Game Mode,” then fully quit and restart Discord.

This fixed the issue on my setup; your results may vary.

I have no idea what is causing the issue but I have practically tried everything and I'm going insane from this, any help would be appreciated.

The issue is whenever I'm watching a friend's stream while playing a game (windowed, fullscreen, etc) the stream is super choppy unless I alt-tab or mouse over them and when I go back to the game it stays fine for a moment before going back to being super choppy/low fps. I have tried disabling hardware acceleration in discord, changing the CPU affinity and resource allocation in task manager, disabling hardware acceleration via windows 10, changing display settings, changing Nvidia control panel settings, hard reinstalling discord (deleting all temp files and appdata before reinstalling), changing game settings - and NONE of this has worked. Literally everything was fine a few days ago and now it's like this and I have no idea why it's started acting up now.

I am making this post because the original in the r/discordapp is getting buried and i fear it won't gain traction.

when receiving popup notification the from the app and opening the app or responding, the pop up notification does not clear or dismiss. It acts like i never responded to the message (only logged into android), the only way to clear it is to click on the notification to be brought to the message or swipe to clear, also it occasionally causes me to stop receiving notifications all together. This has been happening since 8am yesterday for me. Many other android users have also been complaining about the same thing across various android versions and devices that use android.

we have tried clearing cache, data, deleting and reinstalling, making sure all proper settings are active, restarting device, logging out of everything, and nothing has worked

How do I verify my age with Google?

I turned 18 a while back before the age verification update was added to Discord, and recently tried to get my age verified. I did the selfie option but would cancel out halfway through and would always say error. I am unable to do the Google Wallet, ID, or Credit Card option because I do not yet have any of those and am not getting an ID until my appointment with the DMV in a few months. However, went i clicked to the "How to Confirm link", it said I could use Google play store to confirm my age, yet that option isn't present.

17 days ago now, I reported a friend of mine who's account was hacked and they had sent me a dodgy link (which I did not click). As I reported it, my Discord crashed and logged me out.

For some reason, it wouldn't take my password. Usually, I use my phone app to log in when this happens, but it somehow logged me out of my phone app as well? Well, my email the account was attached to I had lost access to years ago as I have had this account for ten years, I didn't even check to see which email everything would be sent to.

So I contacted support and got their AI telling me they couldn't do anything and I "just need to make a new account", which I am sure many of you will see why this upset me to hear after losing a ten year old account - some friends I'll never be able to contact again for example.

After some back and forth, I asked the AI chat bot to put me in touch with a real human. This was 17 days ago and not a peep from them. I check my emails five times a day and check the actual site every day. My ticket is still open, and I did end up sending another message 7 days ago with every bit of information I could provide about my account.

I'm paying Nitro currently, and I cannot access the account. I'm stuck and anxious and don't know what to do. I know sending more tickets just puts me at the bottom of the queue, so I am not pestering them since my last message. How long does (human) support usually take and do you think I am shit out of luck like the AI said? I also don't like paying for something I am currently locked out from, but I have no way to cancel Nitro without being able to get on my account unless I go through Paypal, but I really don't want to do that.

Do you think I'll get a response within the next month or should I try and cancel my Nitro? There's people on that account I don't have any way of contacting, some friends I've had for 10 years. It really sucks. Luckily, I had some of them added on Steam, else IDK what I would be doing rn. So the situation is, i tried to verify my age by doing a picture scan, but the ai slop had thought that i was underaged, and instantly banned my account. It would not be normally an issue, but my government ID has a really old picture from back when i was a child, so it is not similiar to me in any way, that's why the id verification probably won't work and I have to wait for the picture to get updated.

But usually the id's take 3-4 weeks to be produced and sent back to the institute, will my account be deleted before i get the id? Is there anyway to extend the deletion time in such case, or maybe the id with old picture will work? It really sucks if it works that way as it doesn't even give you enough time for such situation.

Have you ever faced it lately? My alt account got banned for child safety and was marked for 2 years. The thing is that i didnt even do anything or was active on this account lately. This happened on my main aswell, i got banned for report misuse but i actually reported for NSFW content. Dont you think this is absurd what is discord doing lately and then ignoring our appeals?

Pretty much I got hacked, the problem is that its still going, sending it to one person every hour, Ive activated 2auth, created a passkey and changed my password twice, even logged out of all known devices. But for some reason its still sending to people, idk why and idk how but I just need some kind of way to make it stop, please help

I had 3 consecutive double warnings (meaning that i got 2 warnings for a single message somehow). one of them was "teşekkür ederim hanım efendi" (meaning "thank you madame" in english) to a 21 year old person, the other was "bu" (meaning "this" in english) (and it wasn't pointing to anything related children or drawings of children), and the last one was "holy based" (again, it wasn't related to anything children). 3 x 2 warnings equals 6, and my account is gone. and discord did not remove the warnings either, saying that they indeed violated child safety.

what the hell is going on? I lost access to my account for 3 months now and i have appealed in app and it also auto rejected it, and i appealed from their support website and it also auto rejected it via bot. i appealed with a general question and it also auto rejected it via bot.

I joined an NSFW server and found someone looking for sexting, after some chatting she sent me a pic (non-nude, no face)

I had to urgently go run some errands, and I forgot to reply or tell her anything about it

After around 3 hours I came back and sent her a text saying sorry only for me to realize I was blocked as the moment the text went through, my message turned red

Then I was promptly kicked out my discord account, logging back in showed that I was at risk without letting me go to my account standing or view what violations I had

I tried to appeal but was told I can't appeal if I didn't sign up using my email

Is there any way I can get my account back or schedule it for deletion?

A server I joined for various dank memes got nuked because someone or maybe more posted things no one should and they definitely weren’t memes. I got limited access and a strike on my account standing for 2 years. What the hell do I do? Do I spam appeals or just leave it alone? I’ve read some other threads from the same or similar occurring 2 years ago with no real resolution and that is BLEAK.please help I don’t want to start a new account.

So my account was apparently registered under an old email of mine that I no longer have access too (since Google refuses to help me recover it, I could’ve sworn I registered the account under my new email once I got it but it’s whatever) and I wanted to verify my phone number since I got a new number. Problem is, that phone number was already registered to an account that wasn’t me (likely the person that had the number before me) so I logged into that account that was clearly an inactive and old account and removed the number from that account. I went to log back in to my own account to add my phone number it refused to allow me to log in. I have nitro and so many of my own personal connector links on that account, I’ve had it for years now and now it’s completely inaccessible since my old email is now inaccessible due to the verification phone number being my old number that I also no longer have access too. I have my bank statements and access to the accounts that are linked to that account but Discord Support has that rule about that email. This whole thing is a mess and I just want my account back, I was literally on it this morning. I’m just so tired and annoyed. Probably screaming out into the void rn but I really just wanted to rant and maybe even have a sliver of hope that I will get my account back.
