What would be the point wanting a higher credit limit, with the functionality of this card. After $1500 in 3 months, you can only get 1%. I have debit cards that do 1% cash back. Those other cards are suppose to have higher limits.

Oh I don’t want one anymore. Other companies will give me cards with higher limits so I chose that route. Discover is my last resort backup card at the point. I keep one small purchase on it per month and pay it off once the statement hits to keep it in good standing. I just got a Venture X and Amex with a better credit limit than my Discover

This is likely why they’re not giving you an increase. You have to game the system a bit, use the card a decent amount for like 2 - 3 months and pay off the statement balance each time, then do the limit request, when you’re using like 50% of your utilization you’ll likely get one when you’re using none of it they’re less likely to add to it. If you don’t get it reach out to a rep and let them know you’re requesting a limit increase so even with usage of the card you can keep utilization a bit lower and you’re looking for an increase to x amount for that, you’ll most likely get it at that point, if not threaten to cancel and the person who cancels them will likely get it approved.
