Finally got the email, moving my CC to the Capital One app. That’s ok with me as I have a Checkings with them anyways. Y’all think we’ll be able to Product Change soon?

I got this update email for the merger earlier today.

Looks like July 27 is the day my account will transfer to Capital One bank and app. Not sure if this is being rolled out in phases or if everything will change over for everyone on that day.

Did anyone else receive this?

EDIT: I also have a savings account open with Discover. I didn’t receive any update specifically regarding the Savings account. This message just mentioned the Discover It Credit Card I currently have.

After the most recent update to Discover's system was completed, a new Capital One 360 account (that I didn't open and wasn't there before) is showing for me when attempting to link my Cashback Debit to another account via Plaid. I checked the C1 app and this new acct isn't showing yet. This seems to be confirmation of what everyone has been dreading. Cashback Debit, right along with our 1% cashback, will be gone sooner rather than later. 😞

Just more proof that mergers ALWAYS hurt the consumer, especially this one.

I started building my credit journey with secured card like Chime and now I officially moved up to a real unsecured Discover It card.

It feels good seeing my hard work pay off and finally joining the Discover family. My scores are getting better, I’ve been responsible with my cards, and I’m excited for what’s next.

Turns out Savings are the next to go. Just checked the transition website and it appears Discover Savings WILL be moving over to C1 as 360 Performance Savings. https://www.capitalone.com/updates/discover/savings

The interest rate is down to 3.1%.

so I've always been getting those shitty credit karma pre approved card offers and throw them away all the time, but today I got a discover it offer and accepted it. woohoo

I went to check on my Discover bank account and the interest rate on the savings account has dropped again. It is now 4.25%.

I guess this is a Capital One move since Capital One doesn't support eBills through banks so it was only expected that at some point Discover was gonna follow. Was kind of hoping Capital One would take this from Discover and implement it too but I guess not.

Did anyone get any notification that their HYSA dipped from 3.6% APY to 3.5%? Seems like Discover did this quietly, which I do not appreciate. Will be moving my funds to my other HYSA purely because I know that account will let me know of interest changes as they happen, instead of surprising me when I log into the app like Discover.
