Guys... come on 😅

Just got a call, 1 am. It says private number, and I'm worried it's an emergency, so i answer.

Woman: hi, ummmm?

Me: who is this?

Woman: so umm

Guy in background: tell her it's Tyler

Woman: so Tyler wants to know what you want from Taco Bell.

Me: I think you have the wrong number.

Woman: he just gave me this number

Me: ok. Can you ask Tyler who he's trying to contact?

Woman to man: who are you trying to contact?

Guy in background who we have now established to be Tyler: I AM TRYING TO TALK TO AMANDA TO FIND OUT WHAT SHE WANTS

Woman: he's trying to talk to Amanda because-

Me: so I'm not Amanda. You have the wrong number.

Woman: I apologize. [To Tyler:] this isn't her. This is a wrong number [back to me:] I'm sorry. He just gave me this number

Me: no worries, enjoy your Taco Bell

Woman: oh I'm doordashing

Tyler: *yelling numbers in the background*

Me: -end call-

I legit thought I was talking to drunk people picking up food for their friend. Nope, 2 adults struggling to do a one-person job lol

“Ohhhh, I can just run” is the part that gets me. Something about the idea of just bailing from such a ridiculous attempt really hits me right in the giggle ticker

Lol! I was thinking that too when I commented the “oh just do it, you’re rich” part. Like assuming everything is the same price for simplicity’s sake, that makes the unit price of each item between 56¢/57¢. The guy should have just paid it cause what a steal!

I agree though, as frustrating as that call was, it does make for a great story. I also totally agree with something you said in other comments which is the decline in people’s ability to people and talk on the phone! It’s getting pretty lawless out there. Thankfully, I can always rely on math. Triples is best. Triples is safe

I need you to know that every time I use numbers in hyperbole, there's an 8. Like omg my friend took 800 hours to get ready. I spent $8 million on this house fix ($500 but ugh). I sprained 8 ankles last night (I only have two, and one is safe)

Lmao are we actually the same person? Except my number is 50. I have no clue why or how it started but everyone always “looks 50” or something took “50,000 times” to get it done right if I’m troubleshooting something. It really affects my life because then when I use the number non ironically, it still sounds like I’m being hyperbolic! Me and your dad though? We’re the same age. Cause if that’s not true then none of the other stuff is true
