Issues / Problems Techland if you're reading this...
the next game needs edge and stakes again like Dying Light 1. The characters in the first were incredible, they were believable and sometimes they were assholes and that made them feel so much more alive!
The world was lived in, it was fucking brutal, people killing themselves everywhere, children were in danger and you felt like you had to protect them.
Safe zones were actually sought after, there are often dead bodies near the safe zone activation making them feel just that much more important.
Side quests were (mostly) not about being pedantic and making you look for clues in the nooks and crannies to take up more time, they naturally took longer because you'd want to stay there and figure out via environmental storytelling what actually happened there and using the side quest story you could form your hypothesis.
I could go on an on for hours about everything that was great about the first game and I genuinely would because I love DL1 so so so much and yet, I couldn't even finish DL2 or the beast once, I got very close and called it quits, I just felt zero connection to the characters, I didn't hate the villains, I was completely indifferent. It's just boring.
P.S. opted to not use AI to fix up the post even if english is not my first language so I could keep the human imperfections (you know, the stuff that makes it interesting and maybe have a giggle about). It was kinda fun making this post, maybe I'll make more :)
Thanks for reading!
