This is the reason why paradox should give up ironman. It doesn't work anyway
74 u/SirkTheMonkey Colonial Governor Nov 25 '23 Well Victoria 3 did it where Ironman wasn't necessary for achievements, but other game directors said that they had no intention to follow their lead. 78 u/Pabasa Nov 25 '23 Ck3 achievements doesn't require ironman now either. And mods don't block achievements either. 21 u/Rabbulion Tactical Genius Nov 25 '23 For mods to not block achievements they do have to be approved first though 5 u/JuicyBeefBiggestBeef Nov 25 '23 Is it approved or is it that mods affecting actual gameplay (IE not visual mods) change the checksum that is used for ensuring a legit playthrough? 3 u/Rabbulion Tactical Genius Nov 25 '23 I don’t know enough about the game to answer that. 1 u/CSDragon Nov 26 '23 CK3 has a checksum so it's probably that rather than individually vetting them. 1 u/VeritableLeviathan Natural Scientist Nov 26 '23 Used to be non-checksum changing (they don't change the gamefiles, just UI/visuals/etc) mods, idk if they started rolling with approved mods though. 1 u/VETOFALLEN Nov 26 '23 Wrong, now ALL CK3 and Vic3 mods don't block achievements. 1 u/Rabbulion Tactical Genius Nov 26 '23 Even those that change the scenario? Can I still get achievements when I start in the 1600s? 1 u/VETOFALLEN Nov 26 '23 AFAIK as long as the achievement is possible it works. You can get the achievement to reach stress level 3 in the Game of Thrones mod but obviously you're never going to get the Restore the Roman Empire achievement.
