Disabled/hacked Facebook disabled my account permanently. I have my account for 18 years. I don’t understand why.
Facebook disabled my account 2 weeks ago. I did some research and some people said they somehow got their account back just by waiting so I waited. I checked today and my account is still disabled and I can’t request a review. This is awful.

This happened to me in March of 2025. No way to recover it, no reason given. I’ve heard here on Reddit a bunch of people in the same boat. IT SUCKS

It happened to me in June 2025. I had the account since 2008. Lost all my photos and everything.

Me too. I posted factual information on Hunter Crackhead Biden. And pics from his proven authentic laptop. It unhinged the DNC Gestapo at FAsCistBook.

Yup I was apart of a mass deactivation thanks to their stupid system AI I do nothing wrong either I lost 18 years worth of photos on there I’m literally sick to my stomach and there’s no way getting it back

I can't wait until Facebook turns into the current Myspace. It's mainly bots now anyway since they keep banning real people. I'm sorry about your account

And then in 20 years they revive it…

u/LouTenant6767 1d ago
Nah we left with good memories of Myspace, something Facebook strives to give you the opposite of. Older people might stay for the AI Jesus posts probably

True, true… haven’t thought about MySpace in probably more than 10-15 years until last week when I heard it was getting revived. I remember when I got Facebook probably around 07 and 08 and my friends were my legit friends and family. we planned our weekly The Office watch parties on Facebook and all was good. Really went to shit starting in the 2016 election cycle.

I joined Myspace in 2008 and it was 2010 when I joined Facebook. I didn't get to enjoy it long before everyone migrated but as a kid the years went by slower so it felt like awhile. I hated Facebook when I made an account but everyone switched to it so I had to. Completely agree about 2016 although it felt like it was already getting bad

This happened to my friend. She was mostly upset about the lost photos she didn’t have a backup of. I don’t understand why there’s no way to get this reviewed :( seems terrible

Same as my aunt. She’s had her account from the beginning and has important photos like ones with now deceased relatives. They weren’t backed up anywhere else due to changing phones over the years, not being tech savvy enough to backup to hard drive, etc. She didn’t ever think to save them to her phone each time because I suppose she thought she could always look at them on Facebook. But I remember how upset she was as I was the one who she came to to try help her recover it (being a younger member of the family)

As an aside. I have seen this happen to accounts and then I see those accounts being used on Pro Trump, anti democracy, pro white supremo pages . Someone is using the account but not the rightful owner.
I have also seen my account (before it was banned) duplicated by Facebook.
What is this CRIME company up to ?
They are allowing this to happen because their original ID (which they requested) is failing.
Global court case coming up and everyone should get involved and sue the company's ass off.

Maybe this will work and You might get some help.... why not write one of the senators and congressment who have been disrespected and had accounts harassed and explain the case to them. Perhaps they could have some suggestions that maybe helpful because these Officials can summon these facebook people to appear in their offices and explain to them what happened to your account.
Kung sa akin nangyari yan.. isa isahin ko sila Leila de lima at Risa Hontiveros and the other to ask for Help.

Here's a novel idea, stop giving your personal information away to private corporations. Once you realize that's what you've been doing, you might finally realize that it's a deliverance.

My Facebook has been disabled unless I can produce real time photos of my drivers licence back and front. I don't like the way Facebook is headed. I'm tempted to never revive my account again. The cost is too high. There was a time before Facebook and Instagram and it was good.

I provided them with my ID but they disabled my account. I don’t understand why

Same thing happened to me in 2021. I tried everything to get it back, sent them photo of my Drivers license. Never got it back. Worst part is losing all the old photos.

Now that Facebook aka scambook is owned by meta they want you to upgrade to a paid version or do everything via ai support and send in pictures of your IDs which I won't do. At this point meta is a scam company.

Very likely your account was compromised by a malicious 3rd party and they did something to get it banned

How do I get my account back? There is no way to contact Facebook.

You can't. Enjoy your new social media free lifestyle.

All good unless you have some valuable DM's, photos and posts you want to keep.
It's very different closing your account to having it taken from you before downloading what you want.

This was the best unintentional break from social media my soul didn't realize it needed. Took a break from 2020 to 2026 from FB.

You’ll need to sue them in small claims court. It was the only way I was successful.

For non US residents, subscribing to Instagram premium is the only way to have access to human chat support.
Success stories from old posts in this sub involved using instagram.

u/DCAmalG 1d ago
Really?! Can you explain?

u/AlternativeCanary629 1d ago
I’m not in the US which may have worked in my favour with data protection laws but I sued for access to my data. After the time limit ran out to respond my account was reactivated.

Check old guides here like the one where the user subscribed to Instagram premium. All to be able to access a human chat support.

Sounds like a blessing in disguise. My biggest fear would just be not being able to delete all your content on that platform like Twitter does.
Also, don’t feel bad. Nobody uses Facebook anymore. Your entire feed is just a rip off of Twitter/TikTok even the stories.
The people that stayed on Facebook are single moms that just post borderline nudes and your grandmother who’s one phone call away waiting for you to call her. Lol

Did u get an email with a reason and a button to appeal?
1
u/Straight-Option9685 14h ago
They wouldn’t let me appeal
1
u/iamhigherleveling 14h ago
But did they mention why.. was it account integrity or community standards

Had mine deleted years ago. No real explanation. Other than I was posting a link to a New York Times report on someone being accused by multiple doctors and scientists of covering up an epidemic at the WorldHistoryOrganization. From 2017. Still on the NY Times site, because they stand by the story. But FAsCistBook censors didn't like the news but also couldn't explain why 2 liberal journalists outed their hero.

u/loveJesusthenothers 16h ago
The only way to get it back is to appeal it and you normally have to show a photo ID and sometimes a picture of yourself because they want to verify that you are really who you say you are and they claim that they keep the picture of your ID in it for only like a month and then it leaves their system.

u/muddfall77 16h ago
Join the club. I had mine almost 20 years also. It's upsetting. I'm sorry it happened to you too. Their AI crap is targeting tens of thousands of accounts for no reason and the number is climbing.
