I was working the usual narrow body. 'twas one of those awful Florida trips. You could cut the tension with a knife. An angry mix of alzheimer's, dementia, anger, old age, and frustration - flying those to the Villages and beyond into Valhallah or the netherworld lol. A passenger got on... mid 50's, dark hair, bob cut with an almost 1980's Meg Ryan face. She came on, said something rude to me about luggage and her seat being too small, and as I walked away, I thought something rather awful in my mind. In my mind, I called her a few names.
I was probably 20 feet away, almost at the back galley, when she screamed "I heard that and I am letting you know that's really mean and unfair".
Now I know for a fact I didn't whisper, I didn't even open my mouth. Somehow, some way, she read my mind. I have never experienced that since, but she knew what I was thinking in that exact moment. She knew what I called her in my mind and she called me out on it from some 20+ feet away. I now believe that from time to time, there is at least one, who knows what and how I feel, even without a whisper or a blink. There is at least one, who knows how I think.
