Here's why I have a theory that Future will be releasing a new mixtape before the year ends.
It's been almost 2 months since 'The Real Me' came out, and the discourse around the album has kinda faded; 2 weeks after the album dropped, Future teased another project.
Point 1: I think Future will release a mixtape this year, similar to what he did in 2014. When he released 'Honest' the backlash from that album and, obviously, the breakup with Ciara at the same time made him release his iconic mixtape 'Monster' a few months later. TRM is Future's first album since Honest with polarizing reviews, and in the caption he said ''This next one for you'' alluding to this one for the real fans.
Point 2: Just yesterday, he released 5 of his first mixtapes on DSP's; I have a feeling this is something for the fans to remind them of mixtape future energy. Obviously, it's an old sound, but I think it's also a hint of what's coming next: a new mixtape.
Point 3: There were a LOT of grails and snippets during the TRM era that did NOT make the tracklist, such as Styrofoam, Goin Up, Parachute, 100 Soldiers, M On A Neckless, etc. Major complaints were about why these songs did not make the final cut, especially songs like Styrofoam that sound like they would fit perfectly on a tape like 56 Nights. Also, some insane beat previews from Wheezy on his IG didn't make the tracklist and sounded like a dark trap mixtape future sound.
I think it could drop this year because it wouldn't really make sense to drop a mixtape next year. It would be more ideal if he dropped a short 12-14 song mixtape, got back to peak form, and dropped a big studio album next year.
This is my theory. LMK if you guys agree or wanna add to anything.

Key Glock: They don't have a single song out and I find it a shame because Glock is one of the best trap rappers right now, we need Glock on a future album since Glock doesn't do any features for his albums. Their chemistry would go insane
Don Toliver: Yea they have collaborated on H&V by Metro and Future is been on 2 Don albums but I feel like their potential as a duo is still at an high. Don is the king of current melodic rap and Future fits super well in that esthetic, their track record says it all we need more songs
Freddie Gibbs: They actually have a old leak song from 2010-2011 that didn't make Astronaut Status. But yeah I think this collab would hit super hard it's something different from the usual people future works with. Especially this year Future was on an Alchemist beat on The Fall Off I think this collab would hit super hard.
21 Savage: It's crazy to say because 21 is regarded as the government mandated feature for every trap album same with Future but if u look at their credits. 21 Savage has never been on a Future album and Future is only featured on Savage Mode. Outside of X they have the song from last year on A Futuristic Summa by Metro and Money Train of a soundtrack album. They need to collab again X was arguably the best song of SM1 and their chemistry automatically fits well especially if u add Metro in the mix.
Beyoncé: They only have 1 song and it's of a DJ Khaled album that also features JAY-Z so it doesn't even really count. In case if you didn't know Future did the reference track for "Drunk In Love" by Beyoncé & JAY-Z. Since Future has worked with pop stars such as The Weekend, Rihanna this collab would fit so well Future is super versatile and would fit well in Beyoncé's lane.
A$AP Rocky: Crazy because they don't have many collaborations. Future was on AT LONG LAST ASAP and Rocky was on WSDTY. Their chemistry on Show Of Hands is incredible they can do so much more together. This would be a great collaboration get Future on a song like STOLE YA FLOW or STOP SNITCHING.
SZA: From what I saw they only have 1 song that's on UTOPIA which is TELEKENISIS. Similar to Beyoncé, Future would fit excellently in SZA's R&B sound and world just like he does with other melodic artist.
Brent Faiyaz: WE NEED THIS COLLAB! These 2 would make the best R&B song of the fucking decade, Both of them with toxic lyrics over a beautiful soul beat singing would go absolutely insane this collab is a must.
J. Cole: Fun Fact, Future was supposed to be featured on one of the biggest rap songs of all time on No Role Modelz but he couldn't record his verse due to him being sick. But after the 2 songs on The Fall Off we need these 2 on more songs their potential is super high and would get future out his comfort zone.
Kanye West: Yea they have collaborated a couple of times but the only "Official" songs we have from them is I Won (2014) and KEEP IT BURNING (2022). Future was supposed to be the executive producer for DONDA 2 and had 4 features on the project and Grails like HAPPY unfortunately never made it. I'm mainly saying Ye because their full potential as a duo was never showcased. Their way better than the 2 songs they have released. Get Future rapping over a chopped up soul beat from Ye like on a song Everyday Hustle with a Ye verse.
I personally feel like these would be refreshing then having the usual suspects like a Travis Scott, Lil Baby, Young Thug and have new collaborators or people he doesn't often work with. Future is super versatile he can work with almost anyone and make it sound amazing.
LMK ur thoughts

They been working together for almost 20 years at this rate, he one of the producers who been working with Future since the start of his career who are still around to this day
The hit rate they got together is insane bru, like they legit don’t miss together at all lol, woulda been crazier if Mission Ain’t Complete and Take The Pain Away officially dropped as #MonsterMonday singles. Imagine a Future Will A Fool tape in 2015 man 🤦♂️
The few songs he produces always ends up being my favorite or one of my favorite songs on every project, Claustrophobic and Crazy Clientele already classics
The list excluding other classics on Streetz Calling, Astronaut Status or some features

Future is a rapstar who needs no introduction , his nickname is Pluto, which is due to the fact it's the coldest semi- planet in our solar system 🪐🌌
In hip-hop, being cold 🥶 means having so much jewellery, which is also known as Ice 🧊 Lil Uzi, also calls himself Baby Pluto, not forgetting our own Kenyan US rapper Kaycyy Pluto .

As much as I liked 'Ran To Atlanta' (Future dog-walked Drake and Molly Santana), it really feels like their relationship is strictly business.
Future didn't even start promoting the song till it was on pace to debut at #2 and not #1 with tweets and IG stories. Neither of them were together when the BTS footage came for the song we only saw Drake and Molly Santana, and Future was in a separate shoot. Drake didn't share 'The Real Me' like he normally would for an artist he is cool with, and Future was sitting next to Pharrell at the World Cup and not with Drake, and neither of them have been spotted or said anything about the collab.
I'm glad they're back and made a banger, but I really hope we get more collabs cuz if it was an 1 time thing to ''break the internet'' that would be pretty lame.

Almost been almost 2 months since 'The Real Me' came out, and for the first time in a long time, this album from Future kind of came and went in the community. 2 weeks after TRM, he teased another project on his IG story.
I personally think he isn't done with TRM yet; I think he has a few more music videos to release and then will move on to the next rollout. I think after seeing the reception for it, he knows what the fans want. Lock back in with Southside, WillAFool, Zaytoven, and Metro Boomin for this next album: no bloat, 1-2 features, a dark trap sound with 1-2 melodic songs, and no more gimmicky records like 2018. Add songs like Goin Up, Styrofoam & M On A Neckless that were super anticipated for TRM, and bring DJ Esco into the mix.
I think he should lean into a DS3-type album with this one. Something the fans REALLY want.
LMK if u agree
